THIS IS, AS ANY OF US IMAGINE A 1957 CHEVY.....BEAUTIFUL. THIS CAR IS NEAR FLAWLESS AND READY TO SHOW OFF. THE CORRECT RED AND SILVER INTERIOR AND UPHOLSTERY ARE WONDERFULLY RESTORED. THE MATADOR RED PAINT IS STUNNING AND ATTRACTS ATTENTION EVERYWHERE SHE GOES. THE QUALITY OF THIS CAR IS IMPECCABLE. SHE HAS BEEN DRIVEN SINCE THE RESTORATION AND MAY HAVE MINOR MARKS ON THE OUTSIDE OR INSIDE BUT NOTHING MAJOR. (I SPOTTED A FEW SPOTS THAT HAD MINOR PAINT CHIPS OR MINIMAL FLAWS AND MINIMAL MARKS ON THE INSIDE). WITH ANY USED VEHICLE THERE IS SOME DEGREE OF WEAR. Next-gen GMC Sierra spied with diesel power
Tue, Sep 5 2017The next generation of GM trucks is arriving soon, and we're expecting a huge leap forward over the current lineup. The Chevy Silverado and the GMC SIerra sell extremely well, but haven't done much to move the segment forward in a long time. The Ford F-150 has an all-aluminum body and turbocharged V6 power. The Ram 1500 gained a diesel and coil spring suspension. These spy shots show that diesel may be in the cards for GM. Some quick shots and copious use of flash show what is most likely a tank for diesel exhaust fluid and a diesel particulate filter, both necessary equipment for any modern diesel. It's unclear what form factor that engine will come in, though GM has a number of engines to choose from, including the 2.8-liter inline four that's found in the Colorado and Canyon, though that may be a little light duty for the Silverado and Sierra. Other rumors surrounding the trucks suggest a move to an aluminum cab while retaining a steel bed. That seems like a reasonable move for GM, even if the company was attempting to shame Ford for its move to aluminum a few years ago. Look for more news as early as the Detroit Auto Show in January. GM recalling over 40,000 Chevy, Pontiac and Saturn models over fuel pump woes
Mon, 01 Oct 2012The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has issued a recall for a number of General Motors cars and crossovers bought or currently registered in the hot-climate states of Arkansas, Arizona, California, Nevada, Oklahoma and Texas. As many as 40,859 units consisting of the 2007 Chevrolet Equinox, Pontiac Torrent and Saturn Ion and the 2007-2009 Chevrolet Cobalt (shown) and its Pontiac G5 twin are being recalled for potential fuel leaks.
This recall is being issued due to potentially faulty fuel pump components that can crack and cause gasoline to leak from the return or supply ports and possibly cause a fire. NHTSA has not indicated how many fuel leaks or vehicle fires have been reported. As a fix, GM will replace the fuel pump modules on all affected vehicles free of charge. Since Pontiac and Saturn have been shuttered, owners will be able to go to another GM-brand dealership to have their vehicles repaired.
