Clean title and tags

350 small block Chevy, runs OK, 600 Holley carb

Automatic transmission, powerglide, stock, very weak

Car is pretty complete, both inside and under the hood. Seems to run OK, and will lot drive. Some rust here and there, see pics, I know there is some in the left rear floor pan area and jamb. Cool aluminum slot wheels, tires hold air, but aged. Can't get the right rear door to open, something isn't catching like it should. Picked up car from guy in IL, thought I wanted to build 2 of these, but wife says one is fine. We have a black one in the shed in worse condition, (completely torn apart) that I have more time in, so we are going to keep that one.

Comes with lots of parts that I have bought for the car:

Good used: front and reat seats, need recovered. All 4 good doors, bodywork started. Front fenders, in much better shape, with the gold louvers on them. 2 Grille bars, ALL exterior side trim, hood bar extensions, headlight bezels, front bumper ends and center, rear bumper ends, taillight housings, hood rockets, gold Vee's for front and rear.

This is a list of all the NEW parts I have bought for this car:

Rubber bumper kit, Vent window weather stripping kit, complete set of door weather stripping, trunk weather stripping, roof rail weather stripping, rear window seal, black door panel set for front and rear, complete exterior trim clip set.

Car is sold as is, where is. I have a clean, up to date Iowa title in hand. You are not bidding to come and look, or call later and decide not to buy for some reason. Please ask all questions before you bid, and feel free to come take a look at it if you want, I think that is the way to go if you can.

Deposit of $500 via PayPal due within 24 hours, car must be paid for in full within 7 days of auction end with cash, and picked up within 30 days. I would consider taking PayPal payment in full if you pay the fees. It is not inside at this point, and I don't have room to put it inside til you can come get it, sorry.

Nissan Leaf sets new November sales record, Chevy Volt drops again

Tue, Dec 2 2014

When you talk to people in the plug-in vehicle industry, one theme you hear repeatedly is that the more plug-in cars that are out there, the better things are for everyone. One reason is that more EVs build a need for more public chargers, and more chargers mean more people see that plugging in is feasible. But there's still something to be said for old-fashioned competition, and in the sales race between the two long-running plug-in vehicles in the US, the Nissan Leaf is resoundingly beating the Chevy Volt for 2014. In fact, it won't be long before the EV's cumulative sales top the PHEV's. But that's a topic for another month. For now, we have the sales results from November. Unsurprisingly, Nissan set another monthly record (that is, the best Leaf sales in any November, the 22nd time in a row we've seen a monthly record) with 2,687 sales last month. That's up 34 percent over last November and up 35 percent year-to-date. Toby Perry, Nissan's director of electric vehicle marketing, said in a statement that, "Our 'Kick Gas' ad campaign and 'No Charge to Charge' launch in Chicago and Atlanta drove an increase in November Leaf sales. Even with gas prices falling across the country, consumers appreciate that the cost of driving a Nissan Leaf is still a fraction of that of a gas-powered car." Over on the Chevy side of the ledger, there were 1,336 Volt sales last month, down 30.4 percent from the 1,920 sold in November 2013. So far this year, Volt sales are down 16.4 percent and Chevy has sold 17,315 Volts in 2014. As we said last month, the Volt slump might be due to people waiting on the new version to make an appearance at the Detroit Auto Show next month before going on sale in the second half of 2015. So far in 2014, Nissan has sold 27,098 Leafs. Look for our detailed post of US green car sales in the near future. Until then, please discuss last month's Leaf and Volt sale in the comments, below. 2015 Chevy Volt gets larger battery, though range remains the same

Sat, Jul 19 2014

The Chevrolet Volt isn't changing much for the 2015 model year. According to specifications uncovered by Inside EVs, though, the new Volt's battery does have a slightly larger capacity. According to the spec sheet, this doesn't translate to increased range. Real world driving, though, might tell a different story. The 2015 Volt's battery storage is slightly higher than the outgoing model's, up from 16.5 kilowatt-hours to 17.1 kWh. According to GM's manager of electrification technology communications, Kevin Kelly, speaking to Green Car Reports, the increased capacity is "a late change done in the cell... just another continuous improvement to surprise and delight our customers." The stated electric range, however, stays at 38 miles. Inside EVs followed up on its original report, and found that drivers could see some advantage to the battery tweak. When they spoke to Kelly, he told them, "As a result of this change, we would expect that some customers may see a slight improvement in overall EV range." It's worth noting that when battery capacity increased from 16 kWh to 16.5 kWh for the 2013 Volt, electric range increased by three miles to the current 38, while MPGe went from 94 to 98. The price of the 2015 Chevrolet Volt remains steady, at $34,995. The actual cost to the customer is considerably less with the $7,500 federal tax credit, as well as any local incentives.

MotorWeek looks back at 1995 Chevy Tahoe, GMC Yukon

Sat, Jun 20 2015

MotorWeek's Retro Review series gives us a nostalgic look back at some of the best sports cars and luxury sedans available in the 1980s and '90s. For its latest clip, the show shifts gears to remember the 1995 Chevrolet Tahoe and GMC Yukon. Similar to the success of crossovers today, SUVs were tallying big sales and making big money for automakers in the mid-'90s. The Tahoe and Yukon filled slots in the market as steps down from the larger Suburban. These twins weren't wanting for space, though, with plenty of room to haul around a family. MotorWeek came away generally impressed too, and called the models some "of the better riding sport utilities we've ever experienced." This review comes with some jazzy, electric guitar licks to enjoy in the background.
