Award winning "Best of the 50's" LKQ auto show ( 6-8-2013), 57 Chevy 210 Belair 4 door, Automatic, 235 6 cyl..all original, 107,500 miles, auto tranny, the motor is outstanding. I use this as a daily driver and show it from time to time as original 57 Chevy class. The outer paint is two tone, Yellow with White top. Paint is older but nice. Floor new, with new carpet, new gas tank, new exhaust, new wheel cyl, new brakes pads, Lights and brakes lights rewired, new shocks on back...good driver. Has all complete new chrome front and back installed 4/11/2013. ... All other chrome good but not perfect. The 210 Stainless trim is ok but not perfect. Piece missing on back vent window the only trim missing, besides backup housing lights, but have new glass for it. Has new Michelin tires and American Racing outlaw wheels 7" on front, 8 " on back. shown in pic. Trunk is rock solid. Interior is shot and needs completely restored ..all intact, and all there, but not the best condition..too wore out for me, headliner, seats and door panels has stains, scratches...this is not a perfect car, The tranny will slip on you if you ride it hard from stand still, but no trouble if you drive it right. but still a good driver with some show quality. there are no major rust issues, except drivers side back door, small hole on floor. This Chevy is about 75% done...I've tried to describe this to best of my ability..feel free to ask questions or you can call me at given number. Kenny 317-657-7879

Corvette Stolen In Detroit Returned To Owner After 33 Years
Wed, Jun 25 2014A Detroit man had his stolen Corvette returned 33 years after it disappeared while parked on one of Detroit's main drags, according to ABC 7. The last time George Talley saw his 1979 Corvette was on a July day in 1981, when it disappeared from its parking spot on Jefferson Avenue in Detroit. He had given up hope of ever seeing his car again, until a phone call from AAA brought his sporty ride home. Authorities had come across a Corvette with a questionable VIN in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. When they ran the number Talley's stolen car report came up. The car is still in pretty good shape and only has 47,000 miles on the odometer. Talley wasn't sure how he could get the car back home, but General Motors stepped in and agreed to cover the cost of bringing the 'Vette home. Talley has always had a passion for Detroit-made muscle cars. "I've always liked Corvettes. It was attractive. The ladies like 'em," Talley told ABC 7.
7 major automakers to build open EV charging network
Wed, Jul 26 2023A new joint venture established by BMW, GM, Honda, Hyundai, Kia, Mercedes-Benz and Stellantis will build a new North American electric vehicle charging network on a scale designed to compete with Tesla's industry-benchmark Supercharger network. The 30,000-plus planned new chargers will accommodate both Tesla's almost-standard North American Charging System (NACS) and existing automakers' Combined Charging System (CCS) options, effectively guaranteeing compatibility with the vast majority of current and upcoming electric models — whether they're from one of the involved automakers or not. "With the generational investments in public charging being implemented on the Federal and State level, the joint venture will leverage public and private funds to accelerate the installation of high-powered charging for customers. The new charging stations will be accessible to all battery-powered electric vehicles from any automaker using Combined Charging System (CCS) or North American Charging Standard (NACS) and are expected to meet or exceed the spirit and requirements of the U.S. National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure (NEVI) program." Critically, the automakers involved will have a say in how the charging tech is implemented, guaranteeing that the hardware will play nicely with each automaker's in-house charging systems. Hyundai and Kia, for example, were hesitant to jump on board the Tesla NACS bandwagon earlier this year over concerns that the Supercharger network is insufficient for powering the two automakers' 800-volt charging systems; similar tech is used by Volkswagen and Porsche. In addition to providing much-needed capacity and high-output charging for America's growing fleet of electric cars and trucks, the new network will integrate seamlessly with each automaker's in-app and in-vehicle features, rather than forcing customers to use third-party tools and payment systems, as is the case with some existing public charging infrastructure. "The functions and services of the network will allow for seamless integration with participating automakersÂ’ in-vehicle and in-app experiences, including reservations, intelligent route planning and navigation, payment applications, transparent energy management and more. In addition, the network will leverage Plug & Charge technology to further enhance the customer experience," the announcement said.
