1957 Chevrolet 210 2 Door Sedan on 2040-cars
Battle Creek, Michigan, United States
1957 Chevrolet 210, 2 door, Sedan. Originally a straight 6, manual transmission. Now it has a Chevrolet 327 small block and a Muncie 4 speed manual transmission. Rear end is the stock original. Drivetrain- This was my late Fathers car. He has owned it for 30 years. This is a fair to good condition driver. The engine was completely rebuilt. Mild cam, Heads ported, cylinders bored, new pistons, Etc. New clutch, pressure plate, throwout bearing. The Muncie 4 speed transmission was rebuilt also. It is just a basic Muncie. It has headers, and a aluminum intake with a quadrajet on it. It has dual exhaust all the way to the bumper. If a better intake/Carb combo, a MSD distributor, and large exhaust were put on this, it would run bad ass. Right now it has a header gasket leak and the alternator belt slips. Recently The entire front end was rebuilt. New control arm bushings, ball joints, shocks, tie rods. wheel bearings, Brakes. The steering gear and steering column were also rebuilt. Interior- The interior was all brand new about 20 years ago. Headliner, seat covers, door panels, carpet, etc. The dash needs some attention. some pieces aren't correct, and some are missing. The heater and vent system have been a work in progress and will need some finishing. All the glass is there and unbroken. All new weatherstripping was installed as well. The Body- the paint is approximately 15 years old. My father wasn't rich, so rust was patched by brazing in sheet metal and using body filler. And some rust was just bondoed. Im not out to falsely advertise this car so the real deal is, If you want a solid fun hot rod, and wont cry if you get a scratch or dent this is it. If you want a super straight show car, You will need to probably repair or replace the quarters, doors, fenders, and trunk lid. 8 years ago we replaced the entire floor pan, cross braces, inner rocker panels, and some body mounts. So that part is done very nice. Well that's all I can think of. Feel free to ask questions. I have every single receipt for parts also. Buyer is responsible for vehicle pick up or delivery. Vehicle will not leave until I have the Cash in hand. Check out a short video of this car driving down the road. http://youtu.be/Y7xIAH5th5c |

2022 Genesis GV70, raging at VW ID.4 tech and thoughts on a new Lexus LFA | Autoblog Podcast #696
Fri, Sep 17 2021In this episode of the Autoblog Podcast, Editor-in-Chief Greg Migliore is joined by Senior Editor James Riswick. This week, they talk about driving the Genesis GV70, VW ID.4 and VW Taos. They talk about ways Chevy could "fix" the Camaro. James ranked all the James Bond films based solely on their starring cars. Next, they reach in the mailbag and discuss the question, "Do you think Lexus will make a successor to the LFA and, if so, what do you guys think it would be like?" After ruminating on that query, they dip into the mailbag a second time to recommend a sporty crossover to a listener in this week's Spend My Money segment. Send us your questions for the Mailbag and Spend My Money at: Podcast@Autoblog.com. Chevy Sonic shreds like a skateboard
Tue, 19 Mar 2013Despite the fact that the 2013 Chevy Sonic is a fun, plucky little thing - especially in ever-so-slightly hotter RS guise - it is not, in fact, a skateboard. But don't tell that to rapper Theophilus London.
In General Motors' latest spot for the Chevrolet compact, London needs to make a quick run to the store for some milk. And even though, once again, the Sonic is not a skateboard, it ollies, pops and gets air because, you know, it's just so much fun to throw around.
If this video looks familiar to you, it's because this is the full ad that we first got a preview of in Chevy's longer, full-line spot, where the brand's "Find New Roads" tagline was introduced. Scroll down to see this dedicated Sonic spot, along with the older ad, and remember, the Sonic is still - still - not a skateboard.
Leaked GM document shows GMC Sierra I6 diesel is more powerful than F-150's
Thu, Oct 4 2018GM told us earlier this year that the 2019 GMC Sierra would be getting a 3.0-liter I6 diesel option, but it never mentioned power or fuel economy figures. Hold the phone though, because a leaked GM Canada document just showed up online that lists out the details we've been waiting for. Originally published by TFL Truck, the 3.0-liter oil-burner supposedly makes 282 horsepower and 450 pound-feet of torque. For those who are counting, that's more than the Ford F-150's 250 horsepower and 440 pound-feet from its 3.0-liter diesel. It soundly bests the 240 horsepower and 420 pound-feet of torque from Ram's 3.0-liter diesel as well. Fuel economy is another story, though. The promotional material states that it will get 28 mpg on the highway, which is 2 mpg short of the F-150's 30 mpg — mind you, it's only capable of that magical 30 mpg figure in rear-wheel drive form. There's another caveat here, too; these are numbers for Canada, so they're not exactly finalized EPA figures. However, we wouldn't expect drastic differences between the two when the American numbers come out. The leaked documents also state the diesel Sierra will be capable of towing 7,800 pounds. That number seems remarkably low when compared to the F-150, which can tow up to 11,400 pounds with its diesel. Extra power and torque would have us assume that GM could get even better numbers than Ford, so we're going to hold our final judgment for official word. A 10-speed automatic will do the shifting on the diesel, just like on the 6.2-liter V8. Since the Chevy Silverado is also expected to get this engine, we can assume the figures would be almost, if not identical, to those we see here. We recently drove the 2019 Sierra and Silverado without the diesel engines, so go check those reviews out if you'd like to know more of our thoughts on the redesigned GM trucks. Related video:
