Up for sale is my newly restored 1957 Chevrolet 150 sedan. This is the model that the Black Widow Nascar racers were made from. I've gone from a rolling body and installed a LT-1 Chevrolet Corvette motor out of a 1969 Corvette that is fully built and has a mild cam...rated at 360HP stock, but it's not stock. I've mated it to a Muncie M-20 4 speed that is stroked with a Hurst Competition plus shifter, going to a new 3.55 geared rearend. This car is a ground up, body on frame restoration. I wanted a full restoration for a driver, not a trailer queen. Here's a quick list of what has been done to the car:
-It's got power disc brakes up front, new drum brakes in the back with new brake lines.
-poor man's power steering that turns effortlessly
-air conditioning that is ice cold.
-New interior stitched here locally in Republic, new carpet, headliner, and door panels.
-car has been insulated with DynaMat type material in doors, trunk, up the firewall, in the package tray and it's tight and quiet...
-New glass all around. Original stainless in good shape.
-All chrome replaced...
-tubular a-arms, front/rear roll bars, all new suspension, undercoated front to back
-Ididit tilt steering column
-New Aluminum radiator
-New paint that's about a year old in India Ivory and Tropical Turquoise
-New gas tank aluminum and gas lines.'
-brand new Firestone white letter tires mounted on American mags Torque Thrust 15x8s
-Electric fuel pump to feed the Edelbrock 600 electric choke carb on a Weiand intake
-new Billet dash, radio am-fm...heater delete. Original clock that works, 1959 Impala steering wheel in new chrome and paint, Dakota Digital dash...wow, too much too list...email me for more details
-that's a quick rundown, but this car has been gone through from front to back including the trunk. These cars are getting very rare. You don't see many 150s in this kind of condition. Bid to own.

This car has been totally taken apart except from off the frame. New everything. Floors with new metal welded in and the same with the trunk. Car is solid and no rust in the body. Any imperfections were eliminated and new metal replaced any bad areas. Car is a two thumbs up everywhere it cruises to.

adding two new videos. The first shows the car on the first start up out of the garage. Since then have changed the wheels as shown in the uploaded pics. (don't worry, the shirt is stained, but clean...product of working on these cars...LOL) Second shows taking the grandkids for a spin around the block..enjoy..

2014 Chevy Corvette Stingray order guide hits the web

Mon, 15 Apr 2013

The official debut of the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray is only part of the excitement for fans of Chevy's virtuoso sportscar. Although we got to see the car and some of its preliminary specs in Detroit and Geneva, there is still no word on pricing and some of the juicier data points we've been waiting for - such as confirmed power output, EPA estimated mileage figures and performance numbers. Until then, CorvetteBlogger has gotten its hands on the order guide for the coupe version of the car - in both base and Z51 iterations - revealing tidbits like standard and optional features and available color combinations.
Some other new details made it onto the order guide, such as our first interior specs for the coupe including slightly less hip room and headroom, more shoulder room and the same amount of legroom. To see the full order guide, head on over to CorvetteBlogger. From what we can gather, it sounds like more information will be revealed on April 25 during a party at the Corvette Museum, and for those sun worshipers patiently waiting for a convertible, it would appear you've got another model year to wait through.

Supercharged 2015 Chevy Corvette Z06 takes the C7 beyond the ZR1

Mon, 13 Jan 2014

The Z06 is just about everything we got in the last ZR1, but better.
After a bright-yellow false start, here is the real thing: the fourth-generation, 2015 Corvette Z06. If Chevrolet makes a ZR1 version of the C7 Corvette, it's going to be absolutely mega, because the Z06 is just about everything we got in the last ZR1, but better.

8 cars we're most looking forward to driving in 2015

Mon, Jan 5 2015

Now that 2014 is officially in the books, it's time to look ahead. And following our list of the cars we liked best last year, we're now setting our sights at the hot new metal that's coming our way in 2015. Some of these, we've already seen. And some are still set to debut during the 2015 auto show season. But these are the machines that keep us going – the things on the horizon that we're particularly stoked to drive, and drive hard. Jeep Renegade Not the Chevrolet Corvette Z06. Not the Ford Mustang GT350. Not the new John Cooper Works Mini. Nope, I'm looking forward to the adorable, trail-rated Jeep Renegade. And that's because I really, really, really like our long-term Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk. I do not, however, care too much for the Cherokee's looks, and I really don't like its $38,059 price tag. The Renegade Trailhawk, meanwhile, promises much of the same rough-and-tumble character as its big brother, but at what we expect will be a more reasonable price (I'm personally wagering on the baby Jeep's off-road model starting at no more than $23,000). With a 2.4-liter four-cylinder and a nine-speed automatic, it should also be a bit easier to fill than the V6-powered Cherokee. Also, I can't help but love the way the Renegade looks. It's like someone took a Wrangler, squished it by 50 percent and then handed it off to George Clinton for a healthy dose of funk. The interior, with its bright, expressive trims and color schemes should also be a really nice place to spend some time. I'll be attending the Renegade's launch later this month, so I'll have a much shorter wait than my colleagues. Here's hoping the baby Jeep lives up to my expectations. – Brandon Turkus Associate Editor Mazda MX-5 Miata Here's an uncomfortable truth: I'd rather spend a day driving a properly sorted Mazda MX-5 Miata of any generation on a winding road than I would nearly any other vehicle, regardless of power, price or prestige. It's not just that I prize top-down driving and enjoy the Miata's small size because it gives me more road to play with. I just find there's more motoring joy to be had with high-fidelity handling and an uncorrupted car-to-driver communication loop than I do with face-distorting power or grip – let alone valet-stand gravitas. But perhaps most of all, I love Miatas because they can deliver that level of feedback and driver reward at modest speeds that won't put the locals on edge or endanger lives – you can use more of the car more of the time.
