It took us a year in a half to build this beautiful 56 Chevy Bel Air
Pictures do not do it justice. You must see and drive this vehicle to get the full appreciation of what a car should be
We started off with a weathered out 56 that had been sitting outdoors in Santa Monica for 7 years, so we had a project restoring
We started off by stripping in down to metal, we cleaned the entire frame and spray all metal with rust proof rubberized sealer. We then layed down Dynomat sound proofing complete interior and then black carpeting over it
We had the entire car repainted and clear coated, we rechromed and replaced all interior and exterior chrome trims, new seats and head liner were done by previous owner in a black and white vinyl tuck and roll from Mexico.
Brakes have been replaced, disk brakes in the front only and drum brakes in rear.
Installed new GMC Crate 350 Engine and new 700R4 Transmission by CRC Transmission in Thousand Oaks by Craig...
New Battery and Radiator, New 16 Gallon Gas Tank, New Power Steering and Power windows. New Wheels and Tires 17 inch Foose Wheels, Tires Yokohama, new original style Radio A/M & F/M, 2 new Speakers on inside panel of door, new black lap-belts in front. Installed a smaller 15" Steering Wheel of Original Style for the 56 Chevy.
This Car has Won 1st place -three out of five of our local classic car shows in Thousand Oaks/Ventura.
It's a Fun & Cool Car Cruiser to Drive.

Man surprises girlfriend with C7 Corvette
Mon, 07 Oct 2013How would you react if someone just showed up at your place of work with a new, 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray, complete with all the trimmings? While a lot of us would likely be flipping out over the still rare sports car, it's a fair bet many more of us would be responding like Pattie here, whose boyfriend stopped by her work to show her her new C7.
Speechless and shocked as she seems, she does end up taking it out for a drive, despite claiming she wasn't really outfitted to handle the car's seven-speed manual transmission at the time. From the sound of the video, we got the impression that she knew the car was coming, just not that it was anywhere near ready for delivery. It also, as Pattie says, seems like her boyfriend is more excited about the car than she (which, can we blame him?). Take a look down below for the full video of this C7 Stingray delivery.
China's rise, global restructuring wither GM's Korea division
Wed, Jan 7 2015An article in the Daily Kanban suggests the sun is setting on GM Korea, and it could already be well into dusk. GM Korea came about when General Motors, along with co-investors SAIC and Suzuki, bought Daewoo Motors from parent company Daewoo Group in 2001; it had a previous tie-up with GM, a joint venture that ended in 1992, although Daewoo cars were based on GM cars until 1996. Over the decade following the purchase, it became such an important part of operations that it was renamed GM Korea in 2011, "to reflect its heightened status in [the] global operations of GM." Just two years later, the printed rumors were that the subsidiary responsible for a fifth of Chevrolet's global production could be shutting down. The division's sales were down almost 21 percent through November of last year, counting domestic South Korean sales, exports, and CKD – Complete Knock Down – products. That makes the labor strife, already an issue for four years, even more acute, reports say the subsidiary will lose $36 million a year if it can't get the job and wage cuts it wants, and government concessions can't make up for the losses. And it gets worse, so head over to Daily Kanban to read the rest of the story.
Refreshed 2014 Camaro confirmed for New York debut
Thu, 07 Mar 2013We've already seen leaked specs and potential spy shots, but the refreshed 2014 Chevrolet Camaro will make its official debut at the New York Auto Show in a few weeks.
Besides a tweaked exterior and the possibility of a high-output LS7 under the hood, we really don't know much else about the 2014 Camaro, but here's hoping for an improved interior, too.
In addition to the refreshed Camaro, Chevrolet will also be showing off the recently introduced Chevrolet SS, making its debut on the auto show circuit, and we'll also get our first look at the C7 Corvette coupe and convertible side-by-side.
