VIRTUALLY ALL THE OUTER CHROME GOES WITH IT ALSO, INCLUDING BUMPERS. INTERIOR CONSISTS OF A BLACK VINYL REAR SEAT AND FIBERGLASS RACE BUCKETS WITH BLACK VINYL COVERS IN THE FRONT. I HAVE OLD DOOR PANELS FOR TEMPLATES AND ALL THE STAINLESS MOULDING FOR THEM. NO CARPET OR HEADLINER, BUT I DO HAVE THE BOWS. DASH IS DECENT BUT SOMEONE PUT 1 NEWER GUAGE IN IT. IT HAS A COUPLE CRACKED SIDE WINDOWS. THE FRONT FRAME HORNS NEED A PULL FROM AN ACCIDENT IF YOU WANT TO RUN THE STOCK FRONT BUMPER. I WASN'T CONCERNED ABOUT IT AS I WAS GONNA CLIP IT AND PUT A STRAIGHT AXLE UNDER IT. I HAVE ONE FOR SALE AT EXTRA COST IF YOU ARE INTERESTED. ALSO INCLUDED IS A HUGE ROLL OF RED WINDOW TINT. NO WARRANTEE OR GUARANTEES (DUH) ON THIS 50+ YEAR OLD CAR. IT IS SOLD "AS-IS-WHERE-IS" NEEDING TOTAL RESTORATION TO BE TOTALLY FUNCTIONAL. Next Chevrolet Malibu to have 'groundbreaking,' 'passionate' design
Mon, Dec 29 2014In our First Drive of the Chevrolet Malibu after its redesign in 2013 we wrote, "Chevy has quickly worked up a host of changes for its ever-important midsize sedan, and will be launching this 'there, we fixed it' 2014 Malibu like it's an all-new product." Still, no one cared. The Malibu has been mentioned in eight posts this year, all but two of them dealt with recalls, and one of those two was about a 2011 Malibu university science project. It came up in precisely zero posts from November 2013 to March 2014. That's why, according to a report in Automotive News, Chevrolet honchos are "hustling" to have a new Malibu ready in a year. Mark Reuss, General Motors' head of global product development, said it will have "groundbreaking design" and "groundbreaking technology," and asked investors who were showed a picture of it, "When is the last time you saw a [midsize] car this distinctive and this dramatic from General Motors?" Doubling down on the bullishness, Reuss said, "We've got our act together here on the midsize-car segment." Then, throwing every last chip on the pile, global design head Ed Welburn said the next Malibu's design will "make a significant statement" with "a very passionate design." Based on the number of comments Malibu posts get, we figure a fair few number of you would love for this to be the case; yet this is a lot of braggadocio to slather on a car that probably hasn't made "a significant statement" since Elton John had a number one record with Honky Chateau. That was 1972, if you're trying to remember. No matter the looks, the AN report says the new 'Bu will make a profit statement, selling for more money while costing less to produce. Alongside the Cruze, GM figures the pair will bring in an extra $800 million in variable profit in 2016. Which, in case it ends up being another 'butterface,' isn't bad for a silver lining. GM recalling 250,000 SUVs over door electronics
Mon, 20 Aug 2012After a door-fire investigation that dates back to February, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has officially announced a recall today that affects around 250,000 General Motors SUVs for a faulty driver's door module. The recall applies to the Buick Rainier, Chevrolet Trailblazer, GMC Envoy, Isuzu Ascender and Saab 9-7X from the 2006 and 2007 model years, as well as the 2006 Chevrolet Trailblazer EXT and GMC Envoy XL for vehicles sold and/or registered in the Snow Belt.
Road salt use in these midwestern and northern states can lead to corrosion of the driver's door module on these GMT360 and GMT370 vehicles, which allows water to come in contact with the circuit board. If shorted out, the vehicle's power door locks and power windows will not work, and could possibly lead to overheating and, in some circumstances, a fire. No official word on how many total vehicles caught on fire, but back in June, 28 fires had been reported to the government agency. A fix for the problem is still being worked out, but all affected vehicle owners will be notified by GM.

GM to trim Russian output, raise prices amid currency woes
Thu, Feb 5 2015General Motors is shutting down its factory in Russia's second largest city, St. Petersburg, from the middle of March until the middle of May as the country's currency, the ruble, continues to give economists fits. The ruble's value has plunged due not only to western sanctions, but a precipitous fall in oil prices. We knew these factors were already impacting the auto industry there, as Ford reported in its 2014 earnings statement, and now they're forcing GM to cut production at the factory, shown above, that is responsible for production of the Chevrolet Cruze and Opel Astra. Meanwhile, Automotive News is citing Russian outlet Kommersant as saying that GM has hiked its prices in the country by an average of 20 percent over the past two months. While a GM spokesman confirmed the St. Petersburg plant would be shut down for the two-month span reported by Kommersant and AN, he would not confirm the price increase.
