1956 Chevrolet 4 door with matching numbers 265ci V-8 and automatic transmission. This car is a true barn find that has been stored since 1994. The previous owner bought it back in 1983 and performed a lot of work on the car including a rebuilt numbers matching engine, brake work and a laundry list of other items. This classic Chevy is in great restorable condition for its age and should not need much work to be road worthy again.
Body- Exterior body is pretty straight with minor imperfections and some rust in the lower front fenders, doors are solid, and all chrome looks to be accounted for
Frame- It has surface rust but otherwise solid and straight
Suspension- Suspension was supposedly all rebuilt with new bushings and brakes
Driveline- Engine was supposedly rebuilt and still turns over freely
Interior- Complete but needs restored
Underbody- Has some small rust holes in the floor pans and the area underneath the rear seat has some rust holes in it as well
Glass- I would say half the glass work is good but the other half has imperfections in it
The car also comes with a 2 speed powerglide.
Thanks

Watch a 2015 Corvette Z06 run the quarter in 11.7 seconds
Sun, Dec 28 2014We're not writing about this because it's an amazing run, we're writing about it because it appears to be the first run. Someone took a 2015 Corvette Z06 to Royal Purple Raceway in Baytown, Texas and blasted it down through the quarter mile. It's still wearing the dealer number in wax pen on the windshield and dealer plates, so this example is fresh from the mold. It's also a seven-speed manual. General Motors said the row-your-own Z06 can do the 'strip in 11.2 seconds, and they undoubtedly had a professional driver and more than one run to set that time. To have Just Some Guy show up at the raceway and do an 11.7 at 120.54 mph on his first run means we expect good things to come as Z06s get delivered to their owners. Check out the run in the video.
Chevrolet SS previewed by Holden VF Commodore SS V show car
Thu, 14 Feb 2013It won't be long before we see the official, production-ready Chevrolet SS sedan (hint: it will be revealed this weekend). And to tide us over until all of the official details are released about the US-spec version, we have this: the Holden VF Commodore SS V show car, a performance-oriented brother to the Calais V that debuted earlier in the week.
What we really want to know about the SS V is what lies underhood, but General Motors' Australian arm is keeping that under wraps until the Chevy model breaks cover this weekend. Nevertheless, it's obvious that the SS V will be a serious performer, with all sorts of aggressive cues driving that home on the car's exterior. Take a look at those 20-inch billet aluminum wheels that hide big Brembo brake calipers up front, the sculpted hood and front fascia, the wide air intakes with LED running lights and the quad exhaust pipes out back. It's like the Pontiac G8 GXP never even left us.
Inside, there's a sporty-looking interior with aluminum accents that mix in with black leather and suede surfaces, all tied together in the middle with an eight-inch MyLink touchscreen infotainment system. It looks great, and again, while we don't know anything regarding powertrain details, it makes us oh-so happy to see a manual shifter smack dab in the middle of the center console.
