Up for bidding at NO RESERVE is a 1956 chevrolet 210 2 door sedan, vin # VB56J073143. The car has a title but the vintag was taken off by a past owner and has been lost to time. This is going to be an old fashion auction the way ebay was intended. 10 days, NO EARLY ENDING, NO RESERVE, NO TRADES. Remember NO RESERVE If you bid on it you bought it no matter what the price ends at. Buyer responsable for pick up. Deposit to be made within 72 hrs, and full payment to be made in 7 working days.If you do not contact me or do not set up pick up or payment the car WILL BE RELISTED IN 10 DAYS. This car is in rough shape and needs rust replacement of the floor, headlight buckets, lower front quarter panels and rocker panels. I do NOT have a floor or driver side headlight bucket but the other parts I have are NEW. The quarter panels I will call full size patch panels instead of full replacement quarter panels as they DO NOT have the belt line stamped in them. They are strange, very thick metal yet they are quite flat and not as rounded as they should be and have a tag on them that says made in Canada. The rockers are new and are very nice pieces(not marked or stamped) as is the pass side headlight bucket tagged (Schott panels of Akron Ohio). The back window is not pictured but does come with the car as does the windshield and vent windows. No side windows. The shaft of the steering box has been cut off and will need replacing. Rear end is stock as is the front end and frame. I do not have inner fender wells for it but on the plus side the radiator support has NOT been cut and that is rare to see. The car is in need or FULL RESTORATION but HAS A TITLE and some nice new pieces to get you started in the right direction.No motor or trans. Again this is NO RESERVE so the price should be more than right for the buyer. This car HAS A TITLE,but NO VIN TAG just want to make sure I have made that clear. GM adds 1,200 jobs at Detroit-Hamtramck plant
Thu, Oct 22 2015General Motors is making a big move at its Hamtramck, MI, factory, announcing it will add a second shift and hire over 1,200 workers within the next several months. It's expected that by early 2016, the factory will employ over 2,800 workers to build the Chevrolet Volt, Impala, Malibu, Cadillac ELR, and by early next year, the new CT6. According to GM Hamtramck spokesperson Courtney Zemke, 40 of the 1,200 positions are for salaried employees, while the remainder will be hourly positions. As for where these employees will go, positions are being made available across the factory, so GM isn't focusing on any particular area for its new hires. It's a similar story behind the hiring surge itself. GM said in its press release that the "second shift is necessary to meet forecasted market demand," a position Zemke reiterated. It's a matter of demand across the plant's portfolio, rather than any one particular product seriously outstripping supply. Naturally, the United Auto Workers is happy with the move. "The workforce at Detroit-Hamtramck is second to none," UAW Local 22 Shop Chairman Don LaForest said in the attached release. "We appreciate the opportunity to expand our UAW-GM family." Hiring is going on now, with the second shift slated to get underway in early 2016. "This is the result of the award-winning vehicles Detroit-Hamtramck produces and the confidence GM has in our team to build world-class quality for our customers," said Plant Manager Gary West. Second shift hiring is underway, and the shift is scheduled to begin operations in early 2016. "The workforce at Detroit-Hamtramck is second to none," said UAW Local 22 Shop Chairman Don LaForest. "We appreciate the opportunity to expand our UAW-GM family." The 4.1 million-square-foot Detroit-Hamtramck Assembly opened in 1985. GM has invested $1 billion in the plant over the last six years, making it one of the company's most-agile manufacturing facilities in North America.

Reuss says GM diesel plans are still on pace
Fri, Oct 16 2015General Motors is not going to let Volkswagen's diesel emissions scandal ruin its plans for a new line of efficient, torquey oil-burners, the company's Executive Vice President Mark Reuss said at a recent press event. "No way," Reuss responded when asked about cancelling the upcoming diesel-powered Chevrolet Cruze and other vehicles. "The Cruze Diesel is too good not to do it." Slated for 2017, the compact is just the latest member of a diesel offensive that initially kicked off with the first Cruze Diesel and most recently saw the introduction of the oil-burning Chevy Colorado and GMC Canyon. Reuss also reassured those in attendance that there was "no delay" in development of Cadillac's diesel lineup. Cadillac is working on a line of four- and six-cylinder turbodiesels for Europe. They'd make their way into the US market, too, eventually. "It's a question of timing," Reuss said, according to Car and Driver. Volkswagen's diesel emissions scandal has caused automakers across the globe to at least reanalyze their diesel strategy. Jaguar Land Rover, which is preparing several diesel-powered models for the US market, went on record late last month to reaffirm its commitment to diesel.
