I have a beautiful one of a kind 55 Chevy. There is so much done to this car I hope I can get it all in. Drive train is a small block 305 TunePort roller motor completly rebuilt 30 over stock. Last year I removed the Injection. I had the heads re-drilled to accept an early B&M Supercharger which I had specially built by Supercharger USA in SoCal. It is mated to a custom Pro built 700R4 trans followed by a 9" which I had narrowed 10" and fitted with custom axles. Note; I did not put Posi in this car, didn't want it. But easily remidied.I am not sure of the gear ratio, it's been to long, but I believe it's a 370. The exhaust is also special. It is a custom full breathing single exhaust with a Dynomax muffler followed by a custom built exhaust tip. Cooling is done by an aluminum cross flow with dual low profile electric fans. Now interior, Custom leather interior on late model seats with power driver seat and console. Black Smoke logo embroided on front seats. B&M floor shifter. Dash covered in leather with doubled stitched edge. Dakota Digital dash with clock. Over head forward console with digital clock, sunglass holder and map lights.Power windows with no vent windows. Power pop doors both remote operated. Aluminum dash trim. Tilt column W/ custom Flame Wheel. Vintage air and heat. Custom made right dash lit speaker insert. Flame rear view mirror. Sound system. 10" rear Base speaker with four 6x9 kickers run by a Kenwood Flip Face AM/FM/CD and fueled by two chrome Audiobahn amps in the trunk. Also in the trunk I have mounted a DVD/TV with a small vidio screen and it has it's own seperate sound system. Trunk is carpeted with custom made sides and front panels. Electrical system is a Highway 24 trunk mounted and coded wires. Also in the trunk is the Remote control system that operates Front Windows,Doors,Electric pull down trunk lock and the Power Gas Door. Exterior is shaved of all locks and door handles lower Stainless trim, Hood Bird and emblems. CPP power steering, chrome A/C compressor, Engine has chrome and aluminum trim with a very cool Spectre air cleaner. This Car was sold in Fresno and has never been out of California so it is rust and accident free. Contact for questions on this show winner. $57k OBO or possible trade for mid 2000 class a diesel pusher .Thank you for viewing.

The car has been driven so there are some small paint chips from the road. There is a small line in the paint on the pass sid of hood. I still feel this paint is a 8.5 to 9. If any questions ask.

Junkyard Gem: 1987 Chevrolet Turbo Sprint
Sun, Feb 6 2022Fifteen years ago, I wrote my first-ever automotive article under the name Murilee Martin, and it didn't take me long to start writing about one of my favorite automotive subjects: the junkyard. Before I'd refined my system for documenting discarded vehicles, however, I shot a lot of boneyard photos that never got used. For today's Junkyard Gem, I have four shots from early 2007 of one of the rarest turbocharged machines of the 1980s: the Chevrolet Turbo Sprint. The Chevrolet Sprint was really a rebadged Suzuki Cultus, from the pre-Geo era when General Motors sold the Isuzu Gemini as the Chevrolet Spectrum, the Daewoo LeMans as the Pontiac LeMans and the Toyota Corolla as the Chevrolet Nova (soon enough, the Spectrum became a Geo, and the Nova became the Prizm). The second-generation Cultus appeared in 1988, becoming the Geo Metro on our shores the following year. The Turbo Sprint was available for just the last two years of the Sprint's 1985-1988 American sales run, and it appears that just a couple of thousand were sold; if I'd known at the time just how rare they were, I'd have shot more photos of this one at the now-defunct Hayward Pick Your Part. The turbocharged 993cc three-cylinder produced 70 horsepower, 22 better than the naturally-aspirated version. Since the Turbo Sprint weighed just 1,620 pounds (that's about 500 pounds lighter than a barely more powerful '22 Mitsusbishi Mirage), it was plenty of fun to drive. For 1988, the regular Sprint hatchback cost $6,380 while the Turbo Sprint listed at $8,240 (that's about $15,375 and $19,855 today, respectively). Believe it or not, a Turbo Sprint actually raced in the 24 Hours of Lemons 10 years ago, though it didn't end well. This ad is for the regular Cultus, not the Cultus Turbo, but the screaming guitars sound reasonably turbocharged. For the most part, Chevy Sprint marketing was all about cheap purchase price and stingy fuel economy… at a time when gasoline prices were cratering. Related Video:
GM recalling 15k midsize pickups over leaky brakes
Mon, Jun 8 2015General Motors has announced a recall in coordination with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration related to the brakes on the 2015 Chevy Colorado and GMC Canyon. In the 14,838 units in the United States estimated to be affected, the front brake calipers may be leaking fluid. Needless to say, that could make them less effective, which could hinder the vehicle's ability to stop in time to avoid a collision. The affected units were all manufactured between January 6 and December 24, 2014. The fix seems simple and straightforward enough, with dealers being instructed to inspect the front brake calipers, and replace them if necessary. See below for all the details from NHTSA. RECALL Subject : Brake Fluid Leak Report Receipt Date: MAY 12, 2015 NHTSA Campaign Number: 15V278000 Component(s): SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC Potential Number of Units Affected: 14,838 Manufacturer: General Motors LLC SUMMARY: General Motors LLC (GM) is recalling certain model year 2015 Chevrolet Colorado, and GMC Canyon trucks manufactured January 6, 2014, to December 24, 2014. The affected vehicles may experience the front brake calipers leaking brake fluid. This is due to air pockets, an imperfection in the metal caliper body. CONSEQUENCE: If the vehicle experiences a brake fluid leak it can increase the stopping distance, increasing the risk of a vehicle crash. REMEDY: GM will notify owners, and dealers will inspect and replace the front-brake calipers if necessary, free of charge. The recall is expected to begin July 10, 2015. Owners may contact GM customer service at 1-800-222-1020 (Chevrolet), or 1-800-462-8782 (GMC). GM's number for this recall is 14888. NOTES: Owners may also contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153), or go to www.safercar.gov. 1983 Motorweek showdown pits Porsche 928S vs. Chevy Camaro Z28
Mon, Jan 12 2015Last month, Motor Trend threw the Camaro Z/28 and Porsche 911 GT3 into the bear pit and let them fight it out. Way back in 1983, MotorWeek had the same idea, comparing the Camaro Z/28 to the Porsche 928S. At the time, the Camaro was America's best selling sports coupe, the 928S was Porsche's top-of-the-line model that also had the highest top speed of any car sold here. And the price differential was even more stark then: $13,600 for the Camaro, $45,000 for the Porsche. That put the Z/28's cast-iron, 5.0-liter V8 with 190 horsepower and 240 pound-feet of torque against the all-aluminum 4.7-liter V8 with 234 hp and 263 lb-ft in the 928S. Even with that and the Camaro being 14 inches longer than the Porsche, the American was a surprising 40 pounds lighter than the German. The show took them to Summit Point Raceway in West Virginia to see how close a relative performance bargain could hang with a the German GT. Both had five-speed manual transmissions, but the high-speed corners and tight sections of Summit Point would test other handling variables, including the "bone-rattling" Camaro's solid rear axle and disc and drum brake setup vis-a-vis the four-wheel disc brakes and independent suspension on the "firm-but-smooth" Porsche. Paradoxically, the larger disparity 22 years ago resulted in a closer result. Check out the video to see how the Summit was won.
