Up for sale is a very nice 1955 Chevy 210 post coupe done in the prostreet style. This vehicle has had the same owner for 19 years and there is a stack of receipts dating back over 25 years!
This is a Pro Street style car with a 396 Big Block Chevrolet engine.
Here are the details:
Body/Exterior:
- two tone Blue and Silver, still looks nice but some very light dulling on the upward facing surfaces
- very clean and straight body with fiberglass bumpers and trunk lid
- Trim is very presentable - some chrome trim has been replaced - other trim has been cleaned and polished as best as possible
- Glass is all very nice
- Alston aluminum wing attached to the trunk lid
- No rust that I can find underneath the car
- Minor rust bubbling in the corners below the front and rear windshields - documented in the photos
- Some minor paint chips etc - see photos for the worst examples
- All lights work
- custom wheels and tires - Weld Drag Lite wheels with Mickey Thompson tires: 15x3.5 in front and 15x12 in the back
- Minitub to accommodate the rear tires
Interior:
- excellent seats - grey cloth from a Fox Body Mustang (late 80's to early 90's)
- Dash color and trim are excellent
- Custom made center console contains B&M Quicksilver ratchet shifter, Autometer gauges and power window switches.
- Front door panels are aluminum, rear panels contain the wood templates, rear aluminum panels were not yet made
- Headliner was replaced but some staining occurred from the local rodent population while the car was in storage recently.
- A power window kit was installed - both front windows are powered from the center console switches
- Autometer racing tachometer is installed on the dash
- No rear seat - just a temporary fabric cover in its place
- New Carpet kit
- 22 Gallon fuel cell and battery in the trunk
- Ididit chrome tilt steering column
- Kenwood Stereo with CD and MP3 with 4 Sony Speakers - 2 6x9 in the rear deck and 2 6.5 in custom kick panel enclosures - very good sound quality and volume!
- Car was completely rewired with an "EZ Wiring" kit
Drivetrain/Chassis:
- stock rebuilt 454 engine with a big camshaft, high flow RV manifolds and a GM HEI distributor
- chrome or polished accessories thoughout the underhood area
- currently running an edelbrock 750 carburetor - will need some tuning as the cam provides very low vacuum for the power brakes and in gear idle is low
- recently rebuilt turbo 350 transmission with 2200 rpm stall torque converter and a shift kit
- Ford 9 inch rear end with 4.11 gears, a locker and drum brakes
- 87 Camaro front suspension setup with adjustable Koni shocks and disc brakes
- Alston ladder bar suspension with panhard style cross rod and adjustable QA1 coilovers as the rear suspension.
- Dual exhaust with Flowmaster mufflers

You hear a lot about how the Chevrolet Nova was a sales flop in Mexico because "No va" means "it doesn't go" in Spanish; in fact, the Nova sold pretty well south of the border, and in any case most Spanish-speakers know that "Nova" means "new" in Latin and Portuguese. However, General Motors doesn't deserve to be let off the hook for bad car names, because the Oldsmobile Achieva— no doubt inspired by the excruciating "coffee achievers" ads of the 1980s— scrapes the biggest fingernails down the screechiest chalkboard in the US-market car-name world. That is, unless you think Daihatsu's incomprehensible choice of Charade was worse. Meanwhile, Japanese car buyers could get machines with cool names like Mazda Bongo Friendee or Honda Life Dunk. It's just not fair! So, what car name drives you the craziest? Related Video: Auto News Design/Style Chevrolet Honda Mazda Daihatsu Automotive History questions car names

If you are a big fan of automotive oddities, this may come as a little treat. If you are a Shelby or Mustang diehard, prepare to have your sensibilities violated.
The master fabricators at BigDaddyCustoms are the minds behind what you see above. At first, it appears to be a slightly misshapen custom Mustang, modeled after "Eleanor" from Gone In 60 Seconds, but upon further examination, something appears to be amiss. In fact, the custom shop, based in India, has created an Eleanor replica grafted upon a lowly Chevrolet Optra. While it may take a second for the Optra to ring a bell, you should recognize its badge-engineered sibling, the Daewoo Lacetti, used on Top Gear.
We don't know what star would opt for the Reasonably Priced Car in Shelby's clothing, but it's clearly someone more concerned with the aesthetic than the performance credentials of this automotive mash-up.

Consumer Reports is crunching the numbers from its annual owner-satisfaction survey, and part of that process is finding out how attached drivers are to their cars. CR simply asks readers of models up to three years old if they would buy the same vehicle again in light of their entire ownership experience, and tallies the results. After looking at the responses for about 350,000 vehicles, it turns out that people really love a certain California-built, electrically powered luxury sedan. That's right, this year's the overall winner was the Tesla Model S with a whopping 98 percent of owners saying they would purchase another one (the Model S also won this award last year, with 99 percent satisfaction). The Chevrolet Corvette Stingray came in a close second with 95 percent of drivers hoping to park another one in their garage. A few models weren't quite so favored, though. The Nissan Versa Sedan was the least loved model among its owners; a mere 42 percent said that they would purchase another. The aging Jeep Compass didn't do much better, with just 43 percent of drivers willing to buy the softroader again. On average, about 70 percent of owners say they would buy their car again, and only four cars ranked below 50 percent in CR's findings. Check out the video above to see some of the winners and losers in a few of CR's categories. If you're a subscriber, you can check out the full list on its website.
