You are viewing a professionally and freshly built Pro Street 55 2 door wagon.  The build started in 2007 and finished in mid 2008.  The wagon has been completed for approximately 3 years with 6,500 miles since the wagon was finished.  The wagon is very fresh and well kept looking like it was just completed a year ago.  Built for the street the wagon is an original 210 wagon built to look like a 150.  The wagon started off as a very solid body in good condition with minimal rust.

Please read on for more particulars of the car:

Body/Paint:  The body was soda blasted and primed from the start.  Replaced headlight cowls, driver’s side floor pan.  Firewall has been recessed 4 inches and smoothed.  Tubbed custom inner wheel wells, all steel that have been raised and widened.  All steel custom outside wheel wells.  Nicely done and looks uniform.  10 point custom roll cage started as an Art Morrison design. From the back of the front seat is custom flooring to the back of the wagon.  Custom hood cut out for the blower with body shaved.  Paint is PPG Silver metallic base/clear.  The wagon has numerous primer coats with lots of blocking.  Paint was wet sanded and buffed to a smooth and high gloss.  Pin stripping with flames grey and red cleared over.  The custom stripping alone was 3K.

Interior:  Sound deadener applied throughout the wagon including the firewall.  The interior is very well insulated.  Red leather on seats and rear panels.  Headliner and door panels are high grade vinyl.  Carpet is gray high grade Mercedes Benz type loop.  The back portion of the wagon has two storage containers to hold the battery and the other for storage.  RCI 5 point harness, Custom Rod gauges, Moon fire extinguisher, JVC stereo with 4 speaker system, 300 Watt amplifier, I didit tilt steering column, Billet wheel.

Rear end:  Ford nodular 9 inch with Detroit Locker, 389 posi gears and 31 spline Dutchman axles.  Estopp, electronic emergency brake.

Suspension:  Art Morrison rear 4 link clip with coil overs, tubular A arms gas shocks on the front with uni-steer hydraulic rack and pinion with custom springs.  Frame was beefed up with cross members and driveline loops.  Also, skid bars attached to frame to prevent headers bottoming out.  The entire car weight is 4200 Ibs.

Automakers score 8 out of top 20 most-watched ads on YouTube [w/videos]

Fri, 14 Dec 2012

Who would have ever thought there'd be a day where people are able to skip television commercials only to go to websites to watch them later? Such is the joy of a DVR and YouTube. AdWeek tabulated the 20 most-watched ads on YouTube, and found that nine were car-related including eight coming from automakers.
Volkswagen continued its Star Wars theme with two ads in the top 20, including the highest-ranking car commercial The Bark Side spot at number three with almost 18 million views, which doesn't even have a single car in it. Some of our favorites are from Chrysler with Clint Eastwood in It's Halftime in America and House Arrest with Charlie Sheen for the Fiat 500 Abarth. Chevrolet, Honda, Audi and Toyota were the other automakers in the top 20, but we'd be remiss if we didn't at least mention one of the coolest ads on the list, the Hot Wheels corkscrew jump.
Of all the car videos, only the Fiat ad wasn't played during a Super Bowl. Check out all eight videos - in order - after the jump. Nike took the top spot with its My Time is Now ad that has been seen online more than 20 million times with Pepsi's Uncle Drew posted up in the runner-up; some of the other videos include four Old Spice commercials and an ad in which Snoop Dogg is pedaling Hot Pockets.

2023 Chicago Auto Show Mega Photo Gallery: See all the new cars from the show

Thu, Feb 16 2023

The 2023 Chicago Auto Show played host to a number of reveals this year, and we were there to capture all of them. In traditional auto show fashion, that means you’re getting a mega gallery of galleries to flip through and see all the vehicles on the show floor. Our EditorsÂ’ Picks from the show are already out — spoiler alert, the 2024 Toyota Grand Highlander took home the prize. That said, there were other important reveals like the 2024 Volkswagen Atlas and Atlas Cross Sport and the 2024 Subaru Crosstrek. We also learned some interesting tidbits, such as the fact that VW is considering a pickup, and Jeep owners really are plugging in. To see the photos, scroll on down and start flipping through those galleries.   2024 Toyota Grand Highlander 2024 Toyota Grand Highlander View 7 Photos 2024 Volkswagen Atlas 2024 Volkswagen Atlas View 14 Photos 2024 Volkswagen Atlas Cross Sport 2024 Volkswagen Atlas Cross Sport View 7 Photos 2024 Ford Mustang Dark Horse with its carbon fiber wheels 2024 Ford Mustang Dark Horse with carbon fiber wheels View 7 Photos 2024 Chevrolet Corvette E-Ray 2024 Chevrolet Corvette E-Ray View 10 Photos Jeep Wrangler Anniversary Editions Jeep Wrangler Anniversary Editions View 3 Photos 2023 BMW XM 2023 BMW XM View 6 Photos Ram Revolution Concept Ram Revolution Concept View 6 Photos NASCAR Chicago Street Race Pace Car — Toyota Camry NASCAR Chicago Street Race Pace Car ? GM executive chief EV engineer says reducing cost of plug-in vehicles is 'huge priority'

Mon, Mar 17 2014

As we know, another major automaker investing heavily in electrified vehicles is General Motors, and it's doing things much differently than rivals BMW, Ford or Nissan. The Chevrolet Volt extended-range EV is a modest seller at its $35,000 sticker price but a huge hit with owners. The Chevy Spark BEV, still in limited availability, puts smiley faces on its owners and drivers. The just-introduced Cadillac ELR, a sharp-looking, fun-driving $76,000 luxocoupe take on the Volt's EREV mechanicals, has admittedly low sales expectations. With this interesting trio in showrooms and much more in the works, the third vehicle electrification leader I collared for an interview at Detroit's North American International Auto Show (see #1 and #2) was Pam Fletcher, GM's executive chief engineer, Electrified Vehicles. ABG: Why do your EREVs need four-cylinder power to extend their range when BMW's i3 makes do with an optional 650 cc two-banger? "We designed [the Volt and the ELR] to go anywhere, any time" - Pam Fletcher PF: I get that question all the time: why not something smaller? You don't really need that much. You use the electric to its ability, then you just need to limp. But we designed those cars to go anywhere, any time, and we don't want their performance to be compromised. If you're driving through the mountains, we don't want you to be crawling up grades, or to be limited on any terrain. So it's optimized to be able to travel literally the biggest grades and mountain roads around the globe at posted speeds. Because what if you can't? Another good reason: when the engine is on, you have to run it wide open throttle, max speed, most of the time. And while we can do a lot with acoustics, and the ELR has active noise cancelation, a small-displacement, low cylinder-count engine at high speed, high load all the time isn't something you want to live with. That's how we came up with the balance we did among the key factors of performance, NVH [noise, vibration and harshness] and range. ABG: Where you go from here? Is the range-extender engine due for an update? PF: We know and love the current Volt, and there is still a lot of acclaim about it, so we think it's a good recipe. But we are heavily in the midst of engineering the next-generation car, which I think everyone will love and be excited about.
