Congers, New York, United States
****** READ IN FULL******
This is a 1954 Chevy 210 2dr sedan. I just got this car on a trade. The car is strictly AS IS, WHERE IS in NY 10920. I do not have time for tire kickers. There is a BUY IT NOW price listed for fair market value of what it is. The CAR IS NOT A SHOW CAR. IT IS A RUNNING DRIVING CAR WITH A TON OF POTENTIAL! Please don't ask me dumb questions about how many miles it has or who owned it and so on. I don't know and I don't care. This is a modified car so if you are seeking "original" seek elsewhere.
The car has a ton of high dollar work already done. It has a 1970-1981 CAMARO SUBFRAME already put in place with front disc brakes and tilt power steering (go ahead and pay somebody to do this and see what it will cost you!!!). It also has a Camaro disc brake rear. So yes it's a 4 wheel disc brake car! Those that don't know and aren't aware no 1954 Chevy ever had disc brakes from new, they weren't invented yet.
The engine runs very strong with a holley 4 barell carb. Holds excellent oil pressure. The trans also shifts well and is a turbo 350. The body is rather solid and amazing for it's age..... and no It's not mint nor do I claim it to be. The paint is backyard mechanic good from far, far from good. IT's passable as a street driver if that's what you so desire. In the event you are looking for a show car be my guest to view the beautiful 1954 Chevy sedan now listed on here at $25,000k and the reserve isn't met. These cars done correctly are WELL WORTH $25-40k hooked up with Fuel injection/A/C/Disc brakes, etc.... I'm looking to get my money and pass this one on. In the event nobody comes up for air I really don't care. I will make an amazing modern RESTO MOD out of it. The seats are original and were redone, CANNOT ASK FOR A BETTER JOB. Original pattern. Car has tilt wheel, 12V charging system (original was 6v), again camaro sub frame, camaro rear disc brakes. The front windshield has a crack, so do the side glass in the doors. Again RUNNING/DRIVING project car for you to take as is and take to next level. I'm not asking show car money so I don't expect to be nit picked on small details. What you see is what you get and what it is. Car has some minor dents and some rust bubbles here and there.... and again I'm going to say if you want a show car get ready to spend show car money. This is cheap for what it is. I AM IN NO WAY SHAPE OR FORM RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DETAILS LEFT OUT. This is a 60 year old car being sold AS IS WHERE IS. I don't have time for tire kickers. My phone number is 845-558-5706 There is a buy it now and I'm waiting on cash. Do not waste my time or yours if you don't have it. I DO NOT ACCEPT PAY PAL as a FORM OF PAYMENT only as deposit. I am going to verify every bid placed on car. It seems in the past many people just have time to waste and no money to back bids. I don't want my time wasted. Car to be paid for in full no more than 5 days after the date of auctions end NO EXCEPTIONS. You have plans of owing it, find the funds prior to placing a bid as it's contract. I REQUIRE A pay pal deposit of $500 in 24 hours. This means if you wait till the last 10 seconds of the auction to outbid somebody then be sure to send the deposit right away and not let me sweat and wait out my money. It's real simple I don't do it to others and I don't want it done to me. I have a NORTH CAROLINA BILL OF SALE on this car. I DO NOT Have a tittle. In the state of North Carolina a tittle is not need till 1961 up. Do the research. All you are getting North CAROLINA BILL OF SALE. It's your deal how you handle putting it on the road in whatever state you are in. In the EVENT you want a transferable NY Registration get ready to pay a fee of $500 to me to make that possible. If not you take it as it is with North Carolina Bill of sale that is LEGIT ownership of vehicle. THE TERMS ARE CLEAR IN WRITING. DO NOT WASTE MY TIME OR YOURS. BY BIDDING YOU UNDERSTAND AND ACCEPT WHAT TERMS ARE AND THE CONDITION OF VEHICLE.
On Sep-18-14 at 17:13:49 PDT, seller added the following information: We are going in to the last couple of days... I see I have many sitting back and day dreaming... that's okay but don't wait till last minute to bid and then decide to get lost on me. I require deposit through pay pal no more than 24 hours after auction. IF you can play the game and fight out bidders last minute you can then send me my deposit and not make me have to chase you....Again, description says what car is. I am not relisting it again. Now is your shot, the car will be restored over the next year by me if it does not sell and then I goes for big bucks... one and only shot at this car. Don't pass up a 54 Chevy 2dr for the $7000-8000 range that runs and drives with 4 wheel disc brakes and a V8..... just stupid to dream and not bid. |

Survey says $25k barrier is a problem for EVs
Sun, 01 Dec 2013
The majority of consumers are more or less priced out of the market.
Electric cars are gaining popularity with the general public, but are they still too expensive? According to a survey 1,084 consumers by Navigant Research, a consulting firm located in Boulder, CO, 71 percent want their next car to cost under $25,000, while 41 percent won't go a cent above $20K. Looks like people are even thriftier than we'd originally thought.
Cadillac CT6 production ceases January 2020 as part of D-Ham layoffs
Fri, Dec 6 2019General Motors filed paperwork under the Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act with Michigan's Department of Labor and Economic Opportunity this week, detailing events to come at the automaker's Detroit-Hamtramck Assembly Plant. Starting February 28, 814 salaried and hourly workers at D-Ham, as its called, will be laid off. The 753 workers represented by the UAW will begin receiving offers in January to relocate to facilities in Michigan and Ohio, or buyout offers. As the 4-million-square-foot plant winds down through April 3 to a skeleton crew, the Cadillac CT6 ceases production in January 2020, and the last Chevrolet Impala comes off the line on February 28. The loss of the CT6 represents the end of Cadillac's latest brief, and highly regarded, adventure into flagship sedans. It might also mean the end of the 4.2-liter Blackwing twin-turbo V8 engine, at least for the moment. Both casualties are calamities. The death of the Impala closes the door on a nameplate in production for 52 years since 1957, having started off as a top-tier trim for the 1958 Bel Air known as the Bel Air Impala, once advertised with the line, "Lets you know you're the boss." As part of the new four-year labor agreement with the UAW, GM is keeping D-Ham open to build a new line of battery-electric vehicles, ultimately investing $3 billion and tripling employment to 2,225 workers when fully operational. The agreement described the coming EV as a "van" that would commence production in late 2021, but various reports say what's actually coming is a range of premium EVs in pickup and SUV bodystyles under the program codename BT1. The easy predictions put an electric GMC Sierra and Cadillac Escalade among the EV fold, but not until 2023, according to auto industry forecaster LMC Automotive. Before that, LMC claims an electric van will debut in late 2021, along with a battery-powered rebirth of the Hummer brand in pickup and SUV forms, also in late 2021.Â
Recharge Wrap-up: Tesla sells Model S 85 and 70D in Malaysia, Chevy Spark EV built using clean energy
Mon, May 18 2015Tesla will send Model S 70D and Model S 85 EVs to Malaysia for leasing to government-linked companies. Only those companies will have access to the models as a two-year lease, which will be imported and leased by Malaysian Green Technology Corporation. The plan is part of an initiative by the Ministry of Energy, Green Technology and Water to allow government officials and other influential people to get to know the electric vehicles and the benefits that come along with them. Most of the 120 vehicles available will be the 70D model, and the lessee companies will have the option to purchase the cars at the end of the two years. Read more from Paul Tan's Automotive News. Wanxiang is hosting students from Delaware in China as part of a program to learn Mandarin and visit schools and science and technology sites. Wanxiang, the auto parts company that acquired Fisker (which had manufacturing based in Delaware) and battery maker A123 Systems, will give the students tours of its solar technology facilities, among other places, and see what daily life is like for families in the region. The program helps students interested in science and technology to foster marketable skills — like learning a foreign language — that will help them get jobs in industries around the world. The e-motors building of the General Motors Baltimore Operations complex has a new rooftop solar array and uses LED and CFL lighting, helping the building recently earn LEED Silver certification. The landfill-free facility also takes advantage of the 1.23-megawatt solar array on the grounds, helping it source six percent its energy from renewable sources. The plant has reduced its energy intensity by 15.5 percent in three years, and continues to work toward reducing consumption and sourcing clean energy. "We believe reducing our environmental footprint is good for the climate and good for our business," says GM Executive Director of Global Public Policy Greg Martin.
