1954 Chevrolet Bel Air 2 door hardtop 6 cyl. I recently purchased this and several other classics from the estate of a collector with obvious good taste in vehicles.I bought this car out of what he called his museum of approx 50 cars and scooters. Being unable to speak with the previous owner i will do my best to describe the vehicle and what i think has been done to it.

This vehicle has what appears to be recent paint,interior and tires. Recent as in 5 to 10 years max with a few thousand miles at most with full time indoor storage when not driven. No visible rust on the shiney black and white body panels as you walk around the vehicle.Odometer reads 17,870, i have no idea what actual milage is! Paint/interior and tires looks real nice from any distance even up close.The vehicle runs and drives very nice.The heater blower motor and radio do not work,i have not tried to get them working either but replacement cost should be minimal if needed. The engine runs quiet and smooth and the transmission seems to shifts as it should. I would consider this a 2.5 - 3 car,very nice clean straight driver car with a few small chips or scratchs and no big dents or scratchs. Interior is very clean with new upholstery ,carpet and headliner.If your looking for a nice small town parade or car show car/ Saturday night cruiser this is your car. This is not a $100,000 restoration. Sorry for some of my pictures being a little blurry,i will upload better ones tomarrow when i can get to the car to take more. I will be happy to sell this car world wide and can offer free indoor storage for up to 30 days if needed. Vehicle will not leave my property untill paid in full and payment clears. Chevy Chaparral 2X Vision Gran Turismo concept blends the past and the future

The Chevrolet Chaparral 2X Vision Gran Turismo is the rare concept car that salutes a seminal moment in history, yet also borders on science fiction.
Revealed Wednesday at the Los Angeles Auto Show, the concept uses the name of one of Chevy's historic racing partnerships, with Chaparral Racing, which dates to the 1960s. Chaparrals raced successfully at a range of levels, including IndyCar, Trans-Am and SCCA competition.
But the history ends there, as the concept's main purpose is as a racecar in a downloadable update for the PlayStation 3 game Gran Turismo 6.

GM recalling over 243,000 crossovers over possible seat belt defect

The summer of 2010's recall hit parade continues unabated today, with General Motors having just announced that it is asking 243,403 owners of its 2009-2010 Lambda crossovers to bring their three-row haulers in for inspection. The culprit? Second-row seat belts in select Buick Enclave, Chevrolet Traverse, GMC Acadia, and Saturn Outlook CUVs have "failed to perform properly in a crash."
According to GM, a second-row seat-side trim piece is to blame, as it can impede the upward rotation of the buckle after the seat is folded flat. As a result, if the buckle makes contact with the seat frame, cosmetic damage can occur, potentially requiring additional force to operate the buckle properly. So far, no great shakes, but in the process of applying that additional force, the occupant may push the buckle cover down to the strap, potentially revealing and depressing the red release button. As a result of this, the belt may not latch, or in certain cases, it may actually appear to be latched when, in fact, it isn't.

Chevy exec confirms SS production model reveal at Daytona on Feb 16

The 2014 Chevrolet SS will make its racing debut for the 2013 Daytona 500, but the production version of the car will get its official unveiling on February 16 in Daytona, a week before The Great American Race. According to a report by Automotive News, the reveal has been confirmed by Jim Campbell, Chevy's US vice president of performance and motorsports. With the departure of the Dodge Charger, the new Chevrolet racecar will be the only competitor to feature a V8, rear-wheel-drive layout in both street and NASCAR form.
NASCAR fans will be able to see the new fullsize performance-oriented sedan on display in the festivities leading up to the Daytona 500, but the car won't go on sale until later in the year. The Australian-built Chevy SS will be a low-volume performance model, and it will be priced above the 2014 Impala, which starts at $27,535.
