FOR RESTORATION, NOT DRIVE HOME! I WILL TELL YOU WHAT I KNOW, AND PICTURE EVERYTHING THAT I CAN SEE THAT IS IMPORTANT. THERE IS A SMALL PATCH IN THE BOTTOM OF THE SPARE TIRE COMPARTMENT BUT THE TRUNK SEEMS VERY SOLID. I DO SEE SOME RUST ON THE FRONT AND REAR BUMPERS AND SOME DINGS ON BUMPERS (SEE PICS.) THERE IS RUST INSIDE ON THE FLOOR WHERE SEAT MOUNTS JUST INSIDE THE DOORS ON BOTH SIDES OF THE CAR, ALSO SOME PATCHES (SEE PICS.) THE BACK FLOOR I SEE JUST A COUPLE SMALL PATCHES. THE OUTSIDE I DO SEE WHERE THERE HAS BEEN SOME FILLER USED, BUT I KNOW THIS CAR CAN BE RESTORED ALOT EASIER THAN SOME THAT I HAVE SEEN. THE FRAME SUPPORTS THAT GO FROM THE MAIN FRAME NEAR BACK OF ENGINE, ARE RUSTED OUT. BUT THE MAIN FRAME APPEARS SOLID. JUST SURFACE RUSTED. I TOOK ONE PICTURE OF THAT FRAME SUPPORT (SEE PIC.) THE PASSENGER WINDOW IS CRACKED. BUT THE REST OF THE GLASS ARREARS TO BE FINE. THERE IS ALOT OF SOLID METAL YET ON THIS ONE. SOME CHROME PARTS IN TRUNK (SEE PIC.) THE FRONT AND REAR SEAT AND TWO PIECES ON THE FLOOR IN PICS. ARE ALL REUPOLSTERED (SEE PICS.) EVEN THE CIGARETTE LIGHTER IS STILL THERE. OBVIOUSLY NOT ORIGINAL RIMS ON CAR.

Chevy Colorado, GMC Canyon get updated tachometers due to graphical error
Sun, Feb 8 2015After James Bearing bought a Chevrolet Colorado, he noticed a discrepancy between the truck's spec sheet and the truck's tachometer: Chevrolet said 3.6-liter V6 in the little pickup produces 305 horsepower at 6,800 rpm, but the the tachometer indicates a redline at 6,500 rpm. So either he wasn't making as much power as he was promised, or the tachometer display was incorrect. Bearing said he asked Chevy about it but got no response. Until now. A General Motors spokesman said the rev limiter is indeed set for 6,800 rpm, but the tach graphics "are slightly off" in the Colorado and the GMC Canyon, and submitted an SAE horsepower certification to back him up. If you're wondering how such a thing got past quality control... well, let's just say you're not alone. GM is going to fix "the graphics on future trucks," which makes it sound like Bearing will just have to learn to live with the indicated redline he's got. He could always pretend he's driving a sleeper, with four more ponies waiting to be unlocked in the danger zone for those who dare. Amelia Island 2013: Chevrolet Corvette Sting Ray from concepts to split windows
Wed, 13 Mar 2013While this year marks 60 years of the Chevrolet Corvette, the 2013 Amelia Island Concours d'Elegance focused on one of the coupe's most sought after models, the 1963 Sting Ray. General Motors design boss Ed Welburn was on hand to show off the all-new C7 Corvette, but even the hard-edged styling of the 2014 Stingray couldn't take away from the beautiful 1963 models sitting out on the field.
In addition to the original Sting Ray and the 1959 Sting Ray Concept, some of the other classic 'Vettes included "Big Tank" racecars, an interesting cutaway coupe, a right-hand-drive Z06 and the attention-grabbing 1963 Corvette Rondine by Pininfarina. Another impressive Corvette was the 1964 Corvette XP-819 rear-engine prototype. Owner Mike Yager had the car finished as a driving chassis for this year's show, but promises the car will be back to its original glory in time for next year's event.
General Motors Recalls Nearly 780,000 Cars To Fix Deadly Problem
Thu, Feb 13 2014General Motors is recalling nearly 780,000 compact cars in North America because the engines can shut down unexpectedly and cause crashes. The company says six people have been killed in crashes related to the problem. The recall affects Chevrolet Cobalts and Pontiac G5s from the 2005 through 2007 model years. U.S. safety regulators say the weight of the key ring and rough roads can move the ignition switch out of the run position, cutting the engine and electricity. If that happens, air bags may not work. GM says there have been 22 crashes from the problem. All happened at high speeds. Dealers will replace the ignition switch for free. GM says owners should remove nonessential items from key rings until the problem is fixed.
