We bought this right here in Venango off of an estate. A true garage find. The 90+ year old gal got it from her father in 1977. He bought it new in 1951. Car has 98,000 plus some more miles. I didn't put it exact, because we are driving it everyday. At this time: We are selling this with no title. It is marked clear because there are no liens or encumbrances on the car. Comes with Bill Of Sale only. The son we bought it through is in California and we are having troubles with the 1,200 mile commute. I know in a lot of states, the Bill Of Sale is plenty. If it isn't and you win, I still can't guarantee you a title. To confirm, you can run the VIN and it will come up to the previous owner here in Venango. That being said you are looking at the original car with the original rust. Yeah, there is no rust. This is dry country and the car has always been stored inside. The owner's husband was a great mechanic and he cared for the car. We bought the car last spring and it had been in her garage without moving since 1986. We had some folks fix the Powerglide transmission so it had both gears and we fixed the fuel system. He had gone through the brakes and they were and are still up. New battery. Starts, runs, drives, and stops good. Tires are the bias that it was sitting on when parked. All stayed up over the years. They are matching and deep tread. Has 62 years of dings that haven't been repaired. Should all be pictured, but if I missed one; I just told your here. If it doesn't sell this way (without a title), I will wait to get it straightened out and sell it for a somewhat higher price. $500 down is due within 48 hours of auction end unless prior arrangements have been made. Remainder is cashiers check or bank wire or? We will work with you. Allow cashiers checks 2 weeks to clear our bank. Add $100 to end of auction price to help pay for Ebay and Paypal charges and our help in loading the unit, if you don't want to drive it home. If you have under 5 feedback contact us before you bid, or your bid will be cancelled. This is NO RESERVE!! Every bid counts, so don't play here. We have a bored county attorney. We ship worldwide to confirmed addresses. As for us: We are Dodson Motors, Inc. at 219 N. Pennsylvania Ave., PO Box 206, in Venango, Nebraska 69168. Our family has been here for sice 1886, one year longer than the county or town.......And we helped build that, along with the other local families and friends. Dodson Motors, Inc. has been a licensed and bonded Nebraska dealer since 1985 and runs a 100% Positive, flawless feedback on Ebay. We do that by telling people what we honestly know about our products. We are mechanics, body men, businessmen, and love God, Country, family, and guns. We are members of our Church, our Chamber, our Lions Club, and our Legion. Nate is 308 353 0605. Mike is 308 353 8510. |

Tue, Jul 29 2014Bentley has been awarded the Carbon Trust Standard for reductions of carbon, water use and waste production in manufacturing. The Carbon Trust is an organization that helps groups such as businesses and governments reduce carbon emissions, use of energy and resources, and waste output. From 2011 to 2013, Bentley reduced CO2 emissions by 16 percent per car manufactured, curtailed water use by 35.7 percent, and saw significant waste reductions. Darran Messem of Carbon trust says, "Bentley is clearly passionate about continuing to improve its environmental performance, which is reflected by the fact the company has consistently invested in new technology." Read more in the press release below. Chevrolet is giving 12 Volts to MBAs Across America. The organization will use the range-extended electric cars in its efforts to help MBA students learn from and work with small business owners. As part of the MBAs Across America program's first year, four students drove 8,000 miles to provide entrepreneurs with free business counseling. The program has expanded, and this year, teams of MBAs will use the Volts to travel to 25 cities to offer their services. Learn more about the partnership between Chevrolet and MBAs Across America in the press release below. A professor from the University of Michigan has found fuel cycle analysis to be too flawed to be relied upon for measuring CO2 impacts of transportation fuels. Professor John DeCicco of the university's Energy Institute feels that the flaws in calculating the carbon footprint of liquid fuel production and combustion make such lifecycle analysis impractical. He suggests, instead, to focus to carbon capture. Since capturing CO2 directly from a vehicle is probably never going to happen, DiCicco believes the solution is to capture carbon from the atmosphere in sectors outside of transportation. Says DiCicco, "Research should be ramped up on options for increasing the rate at which CO2 is removed from the atmosphere and on programs to manage and utilize carbon fixed in the biosphere, which offers the best CO2 removal mechanism now at hand. Such strategies can complement measures that control the demand for liquid fuels by reducing travel activity, improving vehicle efficiency and shifting to non-carbon fuels." 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray priced from $51,995*
Fri, 26 Apr 2013After months of speculation, Chevrolet has finally revealed the official starting price of the 2014 Corvette Stingray. The base MSRP for the 450-horsepower Stingray Coupe will be $51,995, while the Stingray Convertible will go for $56,995 (*both prices include a $995 destination fee). This means that the price increase from 2013 to 2014 is just $1,400 for the coupe and $2,395 for the convertible - pretty modest increases considering the upgrade in specifications. Of course, neither price accounts for the sort of dealer markup that might grace early C7 window stickers, especially since less than a third of all Chevrolet dealers will be allocated Corvette models to sell at the car's launch.
Now, these prices are for the base car, so if you're wondering how much a fully loaded Stingray will run, Chevy has given us a good indication of that as well. The coupe we saw on display at the Detroit Auto Show (shown above), for example, would run $73,360 including options such as the $2,800 Z51 Performance Package, $2,495 competition sport seats and the $1,795 Magnetic Ride Control option - just to name a few. Stepping up to the 3LT trim level that brings a full leather interior will run an extra $8,005 over the base price.
While $20,000 in options may seem like a lot, this "as-tested" price still has the C7 competitively priced against rival coupes like the Porsche 911 and Nissan GT-R. Speaking of price comparisons, Chevrolet also points out that the C7 Stingray Z51 costs $2,200 less than the C6 Grand Sport while delivering better acceleration (0-60 mph in less than four seconds) and improved track performance (including more than 1 g in cornering).
GM natural gas-powered vans recalled due to possible leak
Wed, Sep 24 2014General Motors is recalling almost 3,200 of its compressed-natural-gas powered utility vans because of possible leaks. GM and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) released a notice last week saying that 3,196 Chevrolet Express and GMC Savana CNG vans are on recall, though no accidents have been reported due to the possible issue. The recall is specifically for vans for model years ranging from 2011 to 2014. The recall stems from a potential leak from the compressed natural gas high-pressure regulator, and such a leak could cause a fire or explosion. GM will replace the vehicles' high-pressure regulator in order to fix the problem, will do it free of charge and is instructing owners to contact Chevrolet or GMC customer service to arrange for the parts replacement. Utility vehicle makers like General Motors have pushed for fleet sales of CNG-powered vans and trucks for the past few years and have touted them for their cheaper refueling costs relative to standard gasoline, not to mention the fact that natural gas can be readily sourced from throughout North America (thanks, fracking). According to CNGPrices.com, compressed natural gas sells for about $2.22 a gallon, on average, while the AAA is pegging the average price of gas at $3.34 a gallon. NHTSA has posted information on the recall here. Featured Gallery News Source: NHTSA via Reuters Green Chevrolet GM GMC Natural Gas Vehicles CNG gmc savana
