2007 Chevrolet Avalanche Ltz Crew Cab Pickup 4-door 5.3l, Navigation, Rear Dvd on 2040-cars
Clarksburg, West Virginia, United States
Up for sale is my used 2007 Chevy Avalanche LTZ, 4x4. This truck has every available option for the year except the sunroof. It has power windows, power locks, power folding mirrors, auto dimming mirrors, auto tilting mirrors for parallel parking, auto windshield wipers with Rainsense feature, cruise control, steering wheel audio controls, adjustable pedals, leather interior, heated power front seats, Bose sound system with Sirius/XM, navigation, back up camera, rear DVD package for the kids on those long road trips, rear audio controls, dual auto climate control, tow package with brake controller, transmission cooler, hitch, and 7 pin electrical connection, 20" wheels with brand new tires, new CV axles, new front hubs, new sway bar end links, new brake calipers and pads, aftermarket Volant cold air intake, Magnaflow cat-back exhaust, billet grills, chrome exterior accents, rubber mat for the bed. WV State Inspection is valid through April of 2015. This truck has so many features, I'm sure I'm forgetting to list something, so if you have any questions about it, please just ask. It runs and drives very nicely. It is my daily driver so mileage will change during this listing. The truck is also for sale locally so I reserve the right to end this listing early. This truck needs a diagnostic module which is priced at $300 from gm-partsdirect.com. The original diagnostic module went bad and I took it to the local Chevy dealer, and that was the part they said it needed. It causes an airbag warning in the driver information center, but does not affect the driveability in anyway so I have yet to replace the part. For that reason, I have priced the truck below NADA and KBB value to offset the price of the needed part. I would drive this truck across the country without hesitation. It rides smooth and sounds good with the cold air intake and exhaust. I love this truck and hate to sell it, but I am stretched too thin and the payments are just a little too much for me right now. This Avalanche is being sold AS-IS with no warranty expressed or implied. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or if you would like to see it in person. Thanks for looking!

2014 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra debut all-new designs, three new engines
Thu, 13 Dec 2012General Motors has finally dropped the curtain on the 2014 Chevrolet Silverado and 2014 GMC Sierra. Both trucks have undergone substantial revisions with updated versions of the company's 4.3-liter V6, 5.3-liter V8 and 6.2-liter V8 engines. In a shot across the bows of both Ford and Chrysler, GM says it won't use a V6 engine adapted from passenger car applications. Instead, it developed the 4.3-liter engine based on its proven truck-duty architecture.
All three mills will boast direct injection fuel systems as well as a new cylinder head design. Combined with a revised piston, the new engines feature a smaller combustion chamber with a compression ratio of 11:1 or higher depending on the application. Cylinder deactivation and continuously variable valve timing are all part of the recipe, and each engine is paired with a six-speed automatic transmission with auto grade breaking. So far, no fuel economy or horsepower figures have been released, though GM says the new engines will best their predecessors in both areas.
Outside, the trucks feature a number of enhancements to reduce drag and wind noise, and GM claims both the Silverado and Sierra will offer buyers some of the quietest cabins in the class. Extended cab models now feature front-hinged rear doors to allow easier access to the back passenger area, and Crew Cab buyers can now select between a five-foot, eight-inch bed or a six-foot, six-inch bed. Buyers with a mind toward going off road will also rejoice in the return of the Z71 package, complete with Rancho shocks, front tow hooks and additional under-body protection.
Chevy Sonic shreds like a skateboard
Tue, 19 Mar 2013Despite the fact that the 2013 Chevy Sonic is a fun, plucky little thing - especially in ever-so-slightly hotter RS guise - it is not, in fact, a skateboard. But don't tell that to rapper Theophilus London.
In General Motors' latest spot for the Chevrolet compact, London needs to make a quick run to the store for some milk. And even though, once again, the Sonic is not a skateboard, it ollies, pops and gets air because, you know, it's just so much fun to throw around.
If this video looks familiar to you, it's because this is the full ad that we first got a preview of in Chevy's longer, full-line spot, where the brand's "Find New Roads" tagline was introduced. Scroll down to see this dedicated Sonic spot, along with the older ad, and remember, the Sonic is still - still - not a skateboard.
Vert-A-Pac train cars kept your Chevy Vega's price in check
Fri, 01 Mar 2013Our apologies to those who've seen this before, but for the rest of the class, how awesome are these pictures of the Vert-A-Pac shipping system General Motors came up with to ship the Chevrolet Vega back in the 1970s? Developed along with Southern Pacific Railroad, GM was able to double the amount of Vega models it could ship by packing them into the unique storage cars vertically.
At the time, rail cars could fit 15 vehicles each, but Chevrolet was able to lower shipping costs by making it possible to ship 30 Vegas per rail car, in turn allowing the price of the Vega to remain as low as possible. Each rail car had 30 doors that would fold down so that a Vega could be strapped on, and then a forklift would come along and lift the door into place. All the cars were positioned nose down, and since they were shipped with all of their required fluids, certain aspects had to be designed specifically for this type of shipping, including an oil baffle in the engine, a special battery and even a repositioned windshield washer reservoir. See for yourself in our image gallery above.
