I have for sale my 2005 Chevrolet Avalanche. Exterior color is dark gray and interior is gray as well. I have owned this truck for about five years with no major issues. It has a 5.3 liter V-8 engine and currently has approximately 140k miles. It runs and drives very well and the tires were replaced recently (within the last year). It has a cloth interior and tow package. It has been well-maintained & has always served me well. The only issues are a couple of rust bubbles on the rear quarter panels, it is a little loud while in four wheel drive, and has one blown speaker (I can’t remember which one). The check engine light has been on for quite a while. I had the code looked up and it was just a standard fuel-related code. I added a fuel cleaner additive & was told the light may go out on its own. If you have any questions, please message me & I will do my best to answer them. I have the truck up for sale locally & reserve the right to end the auction early if it sells locally. The truck is sold as-is & I will require a $1,000 deposit via Paypal within 48 hours & the balance within 7 days. The title does have a lien against it so the buyer will need to meet me at my local credit union to execute the transaction. The truck will need to be picked up w/in three weeks upon the end of the auction. If completely paid for, I may be able to store it longer while transportation issues are worked by the buyer. I will not arrange shipping but will assist as much as is reasonable. I will not take any bank transfers, checks, wire transfers or anything like that. Options are:

GM files to trademark name Badlands
Mon, Feb 23 2015If you've been hoping for General Motors to come out swinging at the Ford F-150 Raptor, we've had some tantalizing news for you of late. Last month we brought you a report that indicated GM has trademarked the name "Z71 Trail Boss," suggesting a potential hardcore off-roader. Now it seems the General has filed for a potentially even better name. That name, as our friends over at GM Authority have discovered, is "Badlands." The application, filed on February 16, indicates that it's for a truck, but of course it doesn't specify just what form it would take... or for that matter, under which division it would fall. So we could, in theory, be looking at the nameplate for a Raptor rival from Chevy or GMC (like the 2011 Sierra All Terrain HD concept pictured here), or for some other trim level, a concept truck, a special edition... just about anything. Heck, it could be for a Vauxhall, Opel or Holden for all we know at this point. Or GM could choose not to use it on anything at all, but here's hoping it'll emerge as something awesome in US showrooms sometime soon. CNG-powered Chevy Sonic, Cruze headed your way
Fri, Nov 7 2014The value proposition for a Crazy Diamond Performance CNG ride was a little bit better before gas prices took a dive in the past month. Still, the Michigan-based company, which converts some of Chevrolet's compact vehicles to run on compressed natural gas, received approval late last month from the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) for two of its conversion models. And CNG is still pretty cheap. Crazy Diamond will start selling CNG versions of both the Chevrolet Cruze and Chevrolet Sonic. The startup will target fleet operators looking to cut both refueling costs and their carbon footprint. CNG can be found in much of the country in the low $2 range, while the average CO2 emissions are about 25 percent less than those of similar gas-powered vehicles. Average gas prices have tumbled by more than 30 cents a gallon in the last month, according to AAA, but they're still at close to $3. The two models will be able to go almost 300 miles on a full tank of CNG. Crazy Diamond said this summer that it would start selling converted a CNG-powered Cruze that delivers 130 horsepower for as low as $26,000. The turbocharged version goes for about $28,000. Shelby Township, Michigan, October 30, 2014– Crazy Diamond Performance (CDP) receives EPA approval on its Mono-Fuel Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) Chevrolet Cruze and Chevrolet Sonic. Crazy Diamond Performance has received EPA approval on two new mono-fuel small passenger vehicles, the CNG Chevrolet Cruze and CNG Chevrolet Sonic. These new mono-fuel CNG platforms are the first of a series of small and fuel efficient vehicles coming from CDP, where cost, low emissions and reduced fuel consumption is important for not only fleet owners, but to the general public as well. "Soon to be available, are the 1.8L and 1.4L Cruze and Sonic CNG retrofit systems. These two vehicles represent a change in the status quo, with an OEM level integration of the fuel system and its components" states Michelle Fern, Executive Vice President CDP Inc. These vehicles provide flexibility for fleets looking to purchase a domestic small mono-fuel passenger sedan, but have not had an option until now. There are significant emissions benefits over its gasoline counterpart, with an average reduction in Carbon Dioxide (CO2) of 25%.
Survey says $25k barrier is a problem for EVs

Electric cars are gaining popularity with the general public, but are they still too expensive? According to a survey 1,084 consumers by Navigant Research, a consulting firm located in Boulder, CO, 71 percent want their next car to cost under $25,000, while 41 percent won't go a cent above $20K. Looks like people are even thriftier than we'd originally thought.
