Good running, good driving little van. I'm selling this for a neighbor who no longer needs it. I've driven it 25 or so miles, uphill and down, and here's what I've found;

Cranks right up. Brand new battery. Engine sounds good, with no smoke or unusual noises. Bottom of engine and tranny are good and dry. Did not overheat going up a long steep hill.

Transmission shifts excellent. Owner reports that he had the transmission completely overhauled less than 1 year ago.

Drives and handles very well, with no pulling to the side or vibration of any kind.

Lights work. Wipers work Cruise works. Interior lights work. Front & rear radio / cassette both work..

The rear couch electrically folds down to make a bed. This all works fine.

No rust anywhere that I could see.

The tires all have very good tread.

Glass all good. Power windows work.

Very cool interior lighting

Here are the problems; the paint is rough, faded, cracking and chipping overall. The pictures make the paint look better than it is The rear door latch is broken, but still usable. Rear 3'rd brake light lens on top is missing..The little overhead TV? is not there. Couple of the tires are weather-cracked. A/C blows cool but by no means cold. Right side running board is missing.. Needs a good cleaning overall. Mini-blinds are there but not in great shape.

This is about as good as you will find mechanically for the year and price. I believe that it could safely be driven anywhere..
A cheap way for an individual or couple to camp.or tour.

Chevy monitors drivers' biometrics while experiencing new Corvette Stingray

Fri, 25 Oct 2013

We tell you about what a car is like to drive every day, remarking on throttle response, steering weight and feedback, squat, dive, brake fade and a dozen or more other factors of performance. What we can't tell you, though, is what the car does to us - how its performance impacts us, physically. That's what makes this video series from Chevrolet so darn cool.
The Bow-Tie brand rented out Spring Mountain Motorsports Ranch, got several (very) different individuals together, strapped a bunch of sensors to their bodies to record biometric data ranging from heart rate to respiration to brain activity, and then handed them keys to the new Chevrolet Corvette Stingray. The results are explained in a series of videos, devoted to each driver, showing how different people react to the Corvette's performance.
If, like your author, you're a nerd for medical science, this is going to be a fascinating set of videos. If not, it's still pretty cool to see how the body of someone with racing experience, like Gran Turismo creator Kazunori Yamauchi, reacts to tracking a car like the Corvette Stingray compared to the owner of legendary Detroit barbecue joint, Slows BBQ. Take a look below for all six videos from the series, or hop over to the Corvette Vimeo channel for the interactive experience, where you can see all the different metrics.

GM invests $24 million to build more crew cab trucks in Fort Wayne

Thu, May 30 2019

The full-size pickup truck arms race continues unabated here in the United States as Ford, General Motors and Fiat Chrysler battle back and forth for sales supremacy. The Ford F-Series of trucks continues to lead the field in sales (214,611 units sold through the first quarter of 2019), but the race for second place has been a lot more interesting to watch. That's because Ram, long a distant third in truck sales, eked its way past Chevrolet late in 2018 and has managed to hold the position so far in 2019. Don't take this to mean that sales of GM's trucks have been poor across the board. In fact, the automaker reports that sales of its four-door crew cab pickups are up 20 percent in 2019 over the same period a year ago. And that's what makes GM's announcement today so interesting. The automaker is investing $24 million into its assembly plant in Fort Wayne, Indiana to build more Chevy Silverado and GMC Sierra pickup trucks, and the focus will continue to be on crew cab models. "We are building Chevrolet and GMC crew cab pickups at record volume and mix levels to meet customer demand and the $24 million investment will allow us to build even more," said GM chief Mary Barra in a statement. "Crew cab sales have been very strong, and we are expanding customer choice with new models, more cab choices and innovative new powertrains." It's worth noting that, if crew cab sales are up 20% this year, but overall sales are down (over 15% for Silverado and around 2% for GMC), that means it's the cheaper regular cab and double cab models that are lagging. At the same time, sales of the midsize Chevy Colorado have surged 16%. And finally, if you combine sales of the Silverado and Sierra into one bucket, GM still has a comfortable lead over Ram overall. If there's a takeaway here, it's that trucks of all shapes and sizes have been, currently are and will surely remain hot in America, and automakers will continue to invest money into making sure they are able to satiate consumer demand.
