2004 Chevy Astro AWD cargo van with 154,504 miles. It has A/C, power  windows and door locks, keyless entry, cruise, am/fm factory radio, cloth seats, tinted rear cargo glass, V6  4.3 motor and AWD.

I bought the van in July 09' and it had 90,900 miles on it. I am in construction and used it for the many tools I needed to have for day to day use.  The only reason I am selling it is because I needed a large van for the amount of tools I now carry.  This AWD is a "BEAST"  in the snow, it is almost unstoppable!! I was so impressed with the AWD that I sought after and got a Chevy Express 1500 AWD!I have changed the oil every 3-4,000 miles(see pic of record book). The pic shows all the maintenance that I have done since I acquired it.

Interior: The interior is in good shape.  No rips in seats, no cracks in dash, all power options work.  I installed a new "Bedrug Vantred" cargo mat and custom wood shelving when I got it.  I can remove the shelving if not needed.

Exterior: The exterior has some minor dings in sheet metal.  The passenger side front fender is damaged (see pic).  The fender was in this condition when I purchased it and hasnt changed (rust) in the four years that I have owned it.  The front bumper has a crease in it that was also there when I purchased it.

Issues: Windshield is cracked and needs replaced (Safelite $325.00)  Check engine light stays on more than off, mechanic says its due to 02 sensor ($70.00).  ABS light comes on intermittently.  It will pass MD inspection with ABS light on.  Its just when lit the ABS doesn't work, but the brakes work fine.  It will need new tires soon, I have two extra that will come with the van. A/C needs charged. Worked the first summer and I haven't used it since.

I would prefer local pickup.  If it needs to be shipped it is up to buyer to pay for shipping expenses.  I also have it for sale locally and reserve the right to stop auction at any time. I will accept PayPal, cashiers check or cash. A deposit of $500.00 needed to be payed within 48 hrs of sale and the balance within 7 days of the deposit. If you want to come and take a look at it, I'm available in the evenings and most weekends. You can email me through ebay for my cell number.

Question of the Day: Worst year of the Malaise Era?

Thu, Jun 23 2016

The Malaise Era for cars in the United States spanned the 1973 through 1983 model years, and featured such abominations as a Corvette with just 205 horsepower (from the optional engine!) and MGBs with suspensions jacked way up to meet new headlight-height requirements. There were many low points throughout this gloomy period, of course. The horrifyingly low power and fuel-economy numbers for big V8s during the middle years of the Malaise Era make a strong case for 1974 or 1975— the years of Nixon's resignation and the Fall of Saigon, respectively— as the most Malaisey years. But then the GM-pummeling debacles of the Chevy Citation and Cadillac Cimarron could make an early-1980s year the low point. 1979, the year of the ignominious Chrysler bailout? You choose! MotorWeek's 80's GM muscle coupe roundup includes Regal GN and Monte Carlo SS

Thu, Jan 29 2015

Even with just four brands in the family, General Motors still represents a performance powerhouse. Between the Chevrolet Corvette Z06, Camaro Z/28, Cadillac CTS-V and ATS-V, The General can still deliver plenty of thrills. The 1980s, though, saw the brand go even crazier with performance. While the Camaro and Corvette were still around back in the day, GM had a number of other interesting performance offerings. The Bowtie was complemented by the long-deceased Monte Carlo SS, while the now-defunct Pontiac and Oldsmobile offered the Grand Prix and thumping 442, respectively. And Buick, which isn't short on performance with its Regal GS and Verano Turbo, offered a much more serious vehicle, in the form of the Grand National (not to mention the Darth Vader-spec GNX). MotorWeek, in its hugely entertaining retro flashbacks, looks back on these three long-lost GM performance icons, and it's just as good as you might expect.
