2002 Chevrolet Astro Ls Awd 8 Passenger Or Cargo Van 3-door 4.3l on 2040-cars
Flanders, New Jersey, United States
This is a 2002 Chevy Astro LS AWD 8 passenger van with removable seats. I am the first and only owner. It has been a great van and very well maintained. I was planning on keeping it another couple of years, but my wife decided she wanted a new car and now it is time to sell. But, it has a new engine and lots of new parts including a new starter, fuel pump, fuel lines, heavy duty shocks with springs, alternator, battery, A/C components, and much more. The van drives great. No major problems with the van. Some minor things like the passenger window goes up quite slowly (has for the past couple of years), the driver's side mirror glass shakes a bit at high speeds, some plastic covers around the seat corners have come off (I have them all if you want to figure out getting them back on), and at times water will leak in the top of the windshield (probably needs to be re-set in place). None of these items are new - they have been around for a while, but not a major issue for us to fix. Never skimped on the mechanics though. I always maintained it well and got everything fixed when needed. The AWD is great. It gets through anything. It has been a great family van, but lately I have had the seats out often and it has lots of room for cargo. The van is also for sale locally and the seller reserves the right to sell the vehicle privately (pictures of the vehicle are on my front lawn). Clean vehicle history report. No major accidents - one minor accident when I hit a deer a few years back. Fully repaired and actually the body shop (friend) ended up essentially repainting the entire van for me.

These cars are headed to the Great Crusher In The Sky
Fri, 24 Aug 2012It happens every year. We bid adieu to some cars and trucks that will be missed, and say good riddance to others wondering how they stayed around so long. Whether they're being killed off for slow sales or due to a new product coming along to replace them, the list of vehicles being discontinued after 2012 is surprisingly long and diverse.
CNN Money has compiled a list of departing vehicles, to which we've added a few more of our own. In the slow sales column, cars like the Lexus HS 250h, Mercedes-Benz R-Class and the full Maybach lineup appear, while the Ford Escape Hybrid, Mazda CX-7 and Hyundai Veracruz are all having their gaps filled with more modern and more fuel-efficient alternatives. Obvious exceptions to the rule include models that still sell in decent numbers like the Jeep Liberty and the Chrysler Town & Country (which will eventually be replaced by a crossover-like vehicle).
Check out our gallery of discontinued cars above, then scroll down for more information.
The story of the 2014 Chevrolet SS: "Luxury, power, refinement, handling"
Thu, 07 Mar 2013Not including the women and men who built it, the 2014 Chevrolet SS has only been seen in person by a piddling number of people - fewer humans than would fill the gymnasium at a high school volleyball game. Not including the men and women who built it, no one has driven it. Even so, it is already saddled with two controversies: the way it looks and the way it shifts.
First to that shifting. Did we love the last Americanized Holden, the awesomely sportsome Pontiac G8 GXP, and its six-speed manual? Of course. Do we wish the SS came with a six-speed manual? Of course. But we'd like a toboggan to come with a manual transmission. We'd put a manual transmission on a weasel if we could because we're just wired that way; if it moves, it should come with a stick and a clutch. Or at least the option.
Let's climb down off the ledge, though. We haven't driven the SS and we have no idea how good (or not) the automatic is. And the Hobson's Choice in transmissions when it comes to sport sedans like the BMW M5, Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG and Jaguar XFR-S and, oh yeah, cars-that-really-should-have-manuals like the Audi R8 and Nissan GT-R and Porsche 918 and every single Lamborghini and Ferrari, for instance, hasn't stopped us from enjoying what is clearly the gruesome, dual-clutched demise of Western automotive civilization. Because in spite of our ululations at the dying of the six-speed light, we understand.
Just the right Camaro can change your life
Thu, Jan 22 2015Not many people can say that their car directly motivated them into a career, but that's exactly the case for Adam Martin and his 1968 Chevrolet Camaro that he calls Lucy. Martin bought the pony car in primer when he was just 16, and it helped foster his profession in restoring classic cars. Beyond just being a very cool ride for a teenager, every change to Lucy was an opportunity to hone a new automotive skill for Martin. Whether figuring out how to paint a car or building the 454-cubic-inch (7.4-liter) big block V8, the Camaro offered a platform for experimentation. This latest episode of Petrolicious gets personal about the bond between man and machine for this 18-year ongoing project. And even if the story doesn't immediately grab you, Lucy has a great voice and can do a mean burnout.
