This is my spare vehicle and, although it is in the best mechanical shape of any of my vehicles at present, it doesn't get used except for the once-a-week drive I take it on to keep it from deteriorating. The pictures show any damage, such as the minor dent and scratch on the rear passenger-side quarter panel. The two things you can't see in the pics: 1) The driver side window needs to be taken apart and the rail tightened; the window motor slips. 2) The ABS/Brake dash lights may come on for a week, then be off for a week. (I suspect an electrical short, because drive-ability doesn't seem to be effected.) The things I've done recently as standard maintenance: 1) Replaced front brake calipers and pads. 2) New fuel pump. (Preventative maintenance at 136k miles) 3) New windshield and new wipers.

Survey says $25k barrier is a problem for EVs

Electric cars are gaining popularity with the general public, but are they still too expensive? According to a survey 1,084 consumers by Navigant Research, a consulting firm located in Boulder, CO, 71 percent want their next car to cost under $25,000, while 41 percent won't go a cent above $20K. Looks like people are even thriftier than we'd originally thought.

Mon, 17 Dec 2012They say "idle hands are the devil's playground," but said playgrounds grow to Disney-sized proportions when a pair of jacked-up trucks, two egos, a chain and an empty mall parking lot are involved. Proof of this is the video below, which shows a Cummins-powered Dodge Ram circa 2006 to 2008 chained tail-to-tail with what looks to be a gasoline-powered Chevrolet Silverado from the late 1990s or early 2000s.
We don't necessarily have to tell you who wins this battle, but we'll let you see for yourself the lengths the "winning" driver goes to prove his point. There's plenty of foul language in the video below, so beware that this might be Not Safe For Work, and not that we should have to tell you, but please, do not try this at home.
