2000 Chevy Astro Cargo Van Awd With Ladder Rack. on 2040-cars
Bowerston, Ohio, United States
You are bidding on a good running 2000 Chevy Astro van that needs a little work and will provide you with many more miles use.
It will be scraped out if it does not sell. Must have trailer to pick it up, or be willing to take AC pump off and install Bypass Pulley to drive it. I can Also Haul It up to 500 miles away form $2.50 a Loaded mile. Has scratches and dents in the paint see pics, Backup lights have short in wiring, So when you backup the Fuse blows and then you have to replace it so you have blinkers because they are on the same fuse. The AC Stopped working this past winter, and now the AC Pump Clutch pulley Just froze up, So that will need to be replaced or AC Bypassed with a Bypass pulley. Engine has a slight ticking sound but has had it since 40,000 miles when i Got it. AWD works great, Back Right Brake Is making a roaring sound when brakes are applied, so back brakes might need replaced. Has spare tire but is needing replaced. Had new tires put on Last fall. About 75% tread left on them. Towing package and 2" Reese hitch, Engine and Transmission Oil Cooler. Engine has slight oil leak because the guy that replaced my timing Chain did not remove the oil pan to replace the timing Chain cover and cut the lip of the cover were it goes in over the main bearing. so it leaks oil but very little . I will remove all Logo's from van when sold. |

2016 Chevy Volt will not need premium gas
Wed, Oct 29 2014Buried in the new technical details of the 2016 Chevy Volt released yesterday was a throwaway line about a small but important change that's due to the new 1.5-liter, four-cylinder engine. The first-gen Volt has always required premium gas but the new powerplant will be happy burning plain old regular. The Volt's chief engineer, Andrew Farah, told AutoblogGreen that the change was due to today's Volt owners explaining they were not happy paying for top-shelf petroleum. "The ability to use regular unleaded was based directly on customer feedback," he said. "Since the range extender is an all-new engine, it was optimized to use regular unleaded at the outset. Using regular fuel will not have effect on vehicle acceleration or other performance factors." As Larry Nitz, GM's executive director of vehicle electrification, told AutoblogGreen yesterday, the new engine is more powerful and quieter than the outgoing 1.4-liter engine that's used in the current Volt. Fuel economy and EV range specs for the next-gen Volt are not expected until the full car is revealed at the Detroit Auto Show in January.
Nissan Leaf keeps plug-in vehicle sales crown for 6th straight month
Thu, May 1 2014And Nissan makes it 14 in a row. For the 14th straight month, the all-electric Leaf has had "record sales," according to Nissan's marketing team. What that means is that for that particular month (in this case, April) no matter what year you look at, the car sold more than it ever did before. For April 2014, the 2,088 Leafs sold represents a 7.8-percent increase from 2013. Nissan's director of EV sales and marketing, Toby Perry, said in a statement that the "new market" of Cincinnati made the top 25 list for Leaf sales areas in April, so the car's popularity continues to ebb and flow across the US. Over at Chevy, the Volt sold 1,548 units in April, reaching a year-to-date total of 5,154. The Leaf is outpacing that with 7,272 YTD sales. In 2013, the Volt outsold the Leaf by about 500 vehicles, but Leaf sales are up 33 percent year-over-year while Volt is down 7.1 percent. The Leaf has also outsold the Volt for six straight months. But we're excited for every eco-car sale, and that's why we'll have our monthly detailed write-up of the rest of the plug-ins, hybrids and diesel vehicles available soon. Until then, discuss.
