Sport package had every option for that year, Leather, power everything, keyless entry (2 remotes), cruise control, tape + cd player, off-road skid plate package, 3.73 gears with G80 locking rear diff, Bilstein shocks, tow package with extra cooling capacity, etc.

Have way more money into this truck than I am asking. Selling because my wife and I are planning a move and have too many cars.

Hypertech Power Programmer 3 handheld tuned

Transmission:
Original 4L60e case, internals all replaced to 4L65e specs, beast sunshell, corvette shift servo's, transgo HD valve body kit. I told All About Transmissions in Ventura, CA to make it bulletproof and this is what I got, it was $2200 for the build + installation.

Exhaust:
Gibson CA legal headers
Magnaflow CA legal stainless 2.5" catted midpipe
Magnaflow 2.5" stainless catback

Other:
BMW Projector HID headlights retrofitted to the stock housings (not a plug and play kit of just bulbs, but real HID projector light housings)
Pre-wired for 2-speed electric radiator fan with temperature probe in cylinder head
Entire A/C system components was replaced and are new
Original spare tire moved from inside the rear of the truck, to a roof mounted carrier rack

Everything works except for the A/C. Every component of the A/C is new (Compressor, orifice tube, condenser, evaporator, drier, lines, etc). It has not been charged with refrigerant/R-134a yet, I may do this soon if the weather continues to be weird and gets hotter.

Bad:
Drivers seat has a few small tears in the leather
Couple scratches and dings but less than typical for a truck from this year

GM investing $167m in Spring Hill for new midsize vehicles

Tue, 06 Aug 2013

General Motors has announced a large investment in its Spring Hill, Tennessee facility. The former home of Saturn production will be getting a $167 million addition to a previously announced $183 million, to cover a pair of new midsize vehicles. The investment is expected to create 1,800 jobs at the factory.
That $350 million is being divvied up for a pair of programs at Spring Hill. The first will take the bulk of the money ($223 million) and create 1,000 of the 1,800 jobs, while the other will take the remaining $127 million and generate the leftover 800 positions. But GM says the investment will cover "midsize vehicle programs." So what could they be?
The leading candidate in our minds is a new crossover for Buick, called the Anthem, that will slot between the Encore and Enclave, but will be slightly smaller than the Equinox and Terrain. As we've explained, the new model will likely be the first product to sport GM's new D2UX platform, which will eventually replace both the Delta and Theta platforms. Spring Hill is already building the Equinox, so there could be some credence to this theory.

First 2015 Chevy Corvette Z06 Sells For One Million Dollars

Mon, Apr 14 2014

NASCAR team owner Rick Hendrick loves buying first-built Chevrolet models for charity. He paid $1 million to buy the first production 2014 Corvette Stingray Convertible and $650,000 to get the first 2014 Chevy Camaro Z/28. Hendrick's latest purchase happened at the Barrett-Jackson auction in Palm Beach where he got into a bidding war to pay $1 million to get the first 2015 Corvette Z06. The bidding came quick with the car reaching $100,000 within 3 seconds and hitting $500,000 in about 35 seconds. The money from the sale was donated to the Karmanos Cancer Institute. NHTSA, IIHS, and 20 automakers to make auto braking standard by 2022

Thu, Mar 17 2016

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety and virtually every automaker in the US domestic market have announced a pact to make automatic emergency braking standard by 2022. Here's the full rundown of companies involved: BMW, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, Ford, General Motors, Honda, Hyundai, Jaguar Land Rover, Kia, Mazda, Mercedes-Benz, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Subaru, Tesla, Toyota, Volkswagen, and Volvo (not to mention the brands that fall under each automaker's respective umbrella). Like we reported yesterday, AEB will be as ubiquitous in the future as traction and stability control are today. But the thing to note here is that this is not a governmental mandate. It's truly an agreement between automakers and the government, a fact that NHTSA claims will lead to widespread adoption three years sooner than a formal rule. That fact in itself should prevent up to 28,000 crashes and 12,000 injuries. The agreement will come into effect in two waves. For the majority of vehicles on the road – those with gross vehicle weights below 8,500 pounds – AEB will need to be standard equipment by September 1, 2022. Vehicles between 8,501 and 10,000 pounds will have an extra three years to offer AEB. "It's an exciting time for vehicle safety. By proactively making emergency braking systems standard equipment on their vehicles, these 20 automakers will help prevent thousands of crashes and save lives," said Secretary of Transportation Anthony Foxx said in an official statement. "It's a win for safety and a win for consumers." Read on for the official press release from NHTSA. Automakers making the commitment are Audi, BMW, FCA US LLC, Ford, General Motors, Honda, Hyundai, Jaguar Land Rover, Kia, Maserati, Mazda, Mercedes-Benz, Mitsubishi Motors, Nissan, Porsche, Subaru, Tesla Motors Inc., Toyota, Volkswagen and Volvo Car USA.
