You are Bidding on a 2007 Chevrolet Suburban LT   with light under hood  fire damage to the engine compartment. This was our family vehicle that had an unfortunate mishap.

While at the Automatic car wash facility the electrical fuse box caught on fire and burned the hood and fender of the truck, the fire also melted the brake booster and part of the motor harness. This truck was a great truck and still is a good truck we had just put brand new BF Goodrich All terrain tires all around at a cost of $1,000 only  3 weeks earlier see pictures.  Truck drove and ran great with no issues. Cold AC, 4WD  just replaced rear end axle assembly at a cost of $1200.00 Upgraded Xenon headlights very nice, upgraded chrome LTZ Grill, Upgraded Chrome look door handles all around, Cadillac Escalade window stainless steel accents, new chrome mirrors driver and passenger mirrors installed, Wood interior dash kit,

The fire did not go past the fire wall in the engine compartment so to repair this vehicle is relatively simple, there are several parts needed these are but may not be limited to the following. We have already purchased new hood and is included with sale (see pictures), (Cost us $450.00)

-Engine electrical Harness several wires were frayed by fuse box fire

-Brake Booster with lines

-Fuse Box from salvage yard with wiring.

-Fender under plastic (Drivers side outer fender may or may not be salvageable)

-New hood latch and pull cable, Some cosmetic plastics may need to be bought from junk yard.

We purchased this truck last year from Colorado for 15,000 dollars and has been a great truck and our family really enjoyed it. The truck still is a good truck once repairs are made this needs some one who would enjoy the project and have the time to make the repairs to put his truck back on the road.  Estimate if you do the work and buy the parts from the junk yard for $1500-$2000 or less  this truck could be good as new again.

Hot air balloons caught in high winds drag fullsize SUV

Mon, Jul 20 2015

A sudden storm front whipped up enough wind to send some hot air balloons flying into the air in Wisconsin over the weekend. One ballon proved so energetic that it was able to drag a fullsize SUV across a field and into a stand of tents. The freak accident occurred at Balloonfest in Waterford, Wisconsin. Spectators were horrified as balloons dragged handlers to the ground and launched with terrified pilots clinging to their baskets. Organizers had started packing up the colorful balloons due to ominous storm clouds when the wind kicked up. "Happened just like that; it was crazy," Nathan Fricke, crew member, told Fox 6. Winds were clocked at 40 to 50 miles per hour. A balloon caught in the wind dragged a large SUV (we think a Suburban or Yukon XL) hundreds of feet and into a cluster of tents on the edge of the staging area where balloons were on display for festival goers. Considering that the SUV surely weighs well over 5,000 pounds, it's lucky that no one was injured in the incident. News Source: Fox6Now Weird Car News Chevrolet GM GMC SUV

Next-gen Chevy Volt will get 1.5-liter, four-cylinder engine

Tue, Oct 28 2014

As General Motors gets ready to unveil the new Chevy Volt at the Detroit Auto Show in January, it's starting to reveal a few more details about the updated plug-in hybrid. Today should be fruitful on that front, thanks to an event GM is hosting today that focuses on the new Volt, and we've just had the first bit of new: a bigger engine is coming. Since the beginning, the Volt has used a 1.4-liter, four-cylinder engine as a range extender when the battery runs dry. The second-generation model will instead get a slightly larger 1.5-liter, four-cylinder engine that will be built in Flint, MI. That's a step up from the various engines that have been a part of the 2016 Volt's rumored mills, everything from a 1.0-liter or 1.2-liter three-cylinder to a 2.0-liter turbo. The confirmation about the new 1.5-liter powerplant was found in Automotive News, where we also heard again that GM is going to start building the new Volt's electric drive unit in Detroit, moving production up from Mexico. We will have more information on the 2016 Chevy Volt later today.

Camaro driver clocked at 171 miles per hour

Wed, Apr 13 2016

Chevy's 2016 Camaro SS is a fantastic piece of automotive engineering. It is also, apparently, very, very fast. This latter fact was perfectly illustrated when, on April 8, a Camaro SS driver was nailed in Two Harbors, Minnesota for doing 171 mph. According to WFAA, the unnamed speed demon was flying down Highway 61 near Two Harbors when Hermantown, MN Deputy Police Chief Shawn Padden clocked him at an eye-watering 171 mph. He then recorded the speeder at 168 and 141. At the time, Deputy Chief Padden was working with Minnesota State Patrol on an anti-DWI program called "Toward Zero Deaths". Padden, who was interviewed by the Duluth News Tribune, said he was surprised at the driver's sheer speed. "When he went by me, it was a blur," Padden told the News. "You get used to seeing people going 65 or 70 and what that looks like. But I've never seen anything like this. It's like a rocket on wheels." Fadden chased the Camaro down eventually, but it took some doing. To catch the Camaro, he pushed his Dodge Charger Pursuit to 135 mph just to get into range so the Camaro could see his emergency lights. The speeding driver was ticketed for careless driving, but may lose his license due to a Minnesota law that gives courts the option of revoking licenses for drivers caught doing more than 100 mph.
