I  have  a  clean  Suburban .   NO  rust   at  all .  Southern  born  and  lived .    Garage  kelp  for most  part ,   some  cracks  on  dash .  Headliner  starting  to turn  lose .   Really  good  looking .  I  think

it  has  been  painted .  It  shows  to  many  signs .   No  known  damage .  Yet  the  paint  looks  as  if  factory  .  They  did  a  good  job .  All   windows  good .   The  rear  gate  window  motor  I  had

to replace  with  a  rebuilt  unit .  The  worm  gear  was  broken  not  worn  out .  I  know  this  is  over  20 years  old  .  NOT   a  new  feel  but  just  has not been  used  FEEL .  Engine  is  5.7 L

throttle  body  fuel  injection  system .    Runs  fine  runs  sweet .   Purrs  at  idle .    I  will  say  this  there  is  just  a  bit  of  hesitation  if  a  guy  wants  to  put  his  foot  down .  Runs  fine  normally  .

Everyone   who  drove it  said  it  runs  fine .  I  put  a  new fuel  filter on  and it helped .  Past  that  little  hesitation  it  will  go on down the road .   Pulling  out on the road  it  will  go  .    Belt  ,  hoses

and  alt  look  new   as if  replaced  some time  ago  possible  in the  past  five years .  No  problem  I  have  new  ones  as  well  as  water  pump  new  in  box .   All  go  with  this  truck .  The  breaks

work  fine .   The  man  I  bought  it  from  said  the  peddle  moves  while  stopping .   So  he  also  gave  me  new  in  box  rotors  and  pads  .   Throttle  body  rebuild  kit  also  comes  with .   Have

1991   Light  Duty  Truck   unit  repair manual . Also  1991  R/V   P   MODELS  ELECTRICAL DIAGNOSIS  AND WIRING DIAGRAMS   book  that  is  twice  as  large  as  first .  I  have  original  window

  sticker  .  Sold  new  at

JERRY  BROWN  CHEVROLET ,  INC.   ,     BUFORD  ,  GA   30518    .     $  6,916.00   total  options      making   the  total  price  come  to      $  24,511.00   .     Fuel  mileage  information  ---

13    CITY     ----      17      HIGHWAY     .     I   drove  it  3 or  4  hundred  miles .   Only  thing  was  a   small  water  leak  at  the  side  of  the  radiator  on  the  seam  .  Common  for  a  true  copper

unit .    NO  getting   hot   or   stuff   like  that .    This  is  a  good  one .   You  need  to  see   and  drive  .   I  hope  photos  tell  story .   Too   much  to  tell  in  words .   Call  SAM  256-701-1957 .

I  will   say  NOT   a  true   ONE  OWNER  .    But   man  said   he  got  it  from  his  mother-in-law .    So   it  stayed  in  family .    When  I  got it  he wanted  to  put  it  all in  my  name .  So  I  did

and  got  insurance  and  tag .  The  tag  will  stay  with  me  per  state  of  ALABAMA .    I  have  new  title  dated  3-5-2013  .     It's  hard  for  even  me  to  look  see  for real .  I  been  doing  cars

for  thirty  years .   It's  for  real  come  and  see .

Back  bumper  has  a  little  bend   in  it  .   I   say  no  problem  .   But  for  those  who  want  to  trick  it  out  it  will  be  worth it .     This  man  I  bought  it  from  pointed  out  a tiny  scratch

on  the  right  rear  and  has  1/4  long  of  surface  rust .  Oh  my  big  deal .    Below  that  is  a  piece   of    2  inch    X     18  inch    rubber    trim   fell  off   .    I   have it  .   Need  to  clean  off

old   rubber  tape  and   add  some  double  side  tape  to  get  it  to   hold  on .      Trying  to  pick  this  to  death  .    There  is  a  chrome  piece   on  the  drivers  door  pull   missing .      I   have

a   like  new   Haynes   Repair   Manual     #  24064    to  follow  this  truck  out  the  door .     I  try  to  list  everything .

The   A/C    as  far  as  I  know   does   not   work  .    He   said  that  it  leaks  somewhere  in  the  rear  air .     Also  said   that  I  could  cut  the  lines  off   the  rear  to  make  it  work .

I  said   oh  no  almost  too  quick  but  let  it  go .    I   did  nothing  to  the  air .   Very  little  but  just  look .   This  is  going  to  be  a  good  deal  for  the  one  who  wants  to  straiten  it

all   out .     I  still   have fun   driving  the  way  it  is .   I  put  on   my  seat  belt  (  sheep  skin  added pad  )   and  drive  right .     Tunes  were  added  as  well  --   AIWA     MP3   player

with   removable  face plate  and  carry case .    All  in  glove  box  .   The  box  door  closed  fine  but  lock  needs  adjusting  to  be  in  good  shape .    The  keys  look  to  be  the ones  that  were

with it when  new .  They  are  all  but  worn  out .  The  keys  work .  But  the  starting  key  needs  to  be  pressed  in  and  turned  slowly  to  work  best .   Cranks  most  everytime    but

once  or  twice  no .  I  turned  switch  to  on  then  off   a  few  times  then  crank   fine .    Maybe  fuel  pump  I  do not  know  .  Only  did  once  or  twice  .   I  just  go  slow  an  easy  with  it .

There  is  a  few  things  to  keep  it  from  being  really  sweet.  I  have  tried  to  list  all  things  I  know .    If  you  want  to  know  more ??    Send  email .    I  am  going  to  try  and   stay  with

this  one .   I  can  not  be  up  24/7    but  will  respond  as  soon  as  I  can .      Raining  today  wipers  worked  great  as  well  as  lights  and  heater .   I  went  to  the  mall  for  a  SUNDAY  drive .

TIRES   DID  I   SAY .     Michelin    XLT    235/75R15    very  high  rated   tire .   VERY  good  tread   much  over  half  left  on them     NOT  NEW .   Factory   towing  package .   Tried  this  out

once  with  my  friends  small  trailer   .   Went  down  the  road  40  or  50  miles  like  it  was  not  there .   I   see  guys  pull  big  dual  axel  trailers  with  this  type  of  truck .   Must  be  the

weight   thing  .

Recharge Wrap-up: Chevy Volt CarPlay video, Tesla Supercharger importance

Fri, Feb 5 2016

A video demonstrates Apple CarPlay on the touch display in the next-generation Chevrolet Volt. The Volt's eight-inch (bigger than an iPad Mini) capacitive display is capable of putting Siri and your iPhone apps and right at your fingertips. It's "the best CarPlay display I've seen," says the user in the video. In case you're not in the market for a new Volt, 9to5Mac offers some of its favorite aftermarket CarPlay screens. See the video above, and read more at 9to5Mac. A single Supercharger can make a big difference in the life of a Tesla owner. Teslarati's Electric Jen talks about purchasing a Model S, being assured by both Tesla employees and the map of planned Supercharger sites that one would be built along an important route for her. With the construction being pushed back, it made visiting family tricky. "As if owning such a grand car isn't embarrassing enough, asking for a ride to drop off and pick up said car because you can't make it home without charging really made me feel awkward," she says. "You see, one single charging location can mean the world to some people," Jen adds. Read the whole article at Teslarati. Tesla once had considered creating mobile range extender trailers for the Model S. Elon Musk touched upon the abandoned idea during his visit to Paris. While Tesla ultimately dismissed the concept, Nomadic Power has taken the opportunity to hitch their product onto the Tesla brand. "We are delighted, that Tesla Motors' CEO Elon Musk is thinking about a concept like ours for even more extending the range of the Tesla models," says Nomadic Power's CEO Manfred Baumgaertner. He adds, "This confirms our approach to build a long distance mobility provider for all electric vehicles on the market." If you say so, Baumgaertner. When the batteries have degraded to the point that they're no longer suitable for use on the road, they still have a significant capacity that can be used for other purposes. Still useful for stationary storage, they can be used to support charging sites in order to allow for faster charging. The stationary batteries can charge slowly at the site, but then offer up the juice in a hurry when it's needed for a vehicle. Read more from Renault.

2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Convertible is a Swiss hit

Mon, 04 Mar 2013

We've just received an early peek at the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Convertible here at the Geneva Motor Show. General Motors was kind enough to let us attend the final dress-rehearsal for its press conference scheduled for tomorrow's opening media day, and we've come away with a good look at the droptop C7 in person.
In the metal, the new Corvette Convertible seems somehow less avant-garde than the Coupe, even in Z51 Performance Package guise. That's not necessarily a bad thing - more of an observation. That initial impression may be because the C7's new greenhouse is one of its most prominent departures from Corvettes past. While we didn't get to see the top erected, there's no rear side window in the stock images that Chevy has already released, suggesting the C7 convertible's profile will look a lot like its C6 predecessor. And with the new power tonneau cover in place, there are also no rear ducts that come as part of the Z51 package (they've been moved under the car).
As with its predecessor, the tonneau is a handsome double-bubble piece, and the body-color "waterfall" element into the cabin between the seats has made it to the new model as well. Thus, the overall look with the top down should be a bit more familiar to prior-gen C6 owners - if you're one of those put off by the C7's new shape, you'll probably appreciate the convertible bodystyle more than the coupe.

First 2014 Chevy Corvette Stingray spotted crashed in the wild

Tue, 12 Feb 2013

This restyled blue 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray is wearing manufacturer plates, and it appears to be the same one seen around the internet in various pictures lately. This crash is likely not part of the Chevrolet testing regimen, however. Digital Corvettes forum member gpetry posted the shot with a note: "got this picture e-mailed from a friend in Arizona last week..." No circumstances are given, other than the incident occurred in the thick of a set of curvy roads, and the coupe ping-ponged off a guardrail and into the rock wall. Hopefully everyone involved in the incident walked away.
It may not be a pretty thing to see, a crashed sports car that's not even available for sale yet, but rest easy. Many pre-production cars are used for development and then unceremoniously crushed and scrapped, anyway. If that's the case here, that makes this wrecked 'Vette less of a tragedy and more of a case of exceptional efficiency.
