1988 3/4 ton 2500, K20 Suburban in very good condition. 350, new transmission last year. New 35" BF goodrich tires in 2012. I have owned this truck for 4 years and hate to see it go but have other interests that I want to move on to. It starts, runs, drives very good. I take it on 60 mile trips to camp on a regular basis and trust it to run good every time. Minor surface rust on the frame but body has none. Paint looks very good overall but there are scratches/minor blemishes from some offroad use. Not beaten offroad, just put it in 4 low and crawled through trails and class 4 roads. This thing is a beast! The best part is the truck has 3 bench seats so you can throw 9 people in and go for a cruise.
Truck was always parked after hunting season (early december) and never brought out on the roads until late april/may (just took it out of storage last week) so no exposure to salt. The interior is in good shape. I covered the front seat as protection. Carpet in good shape. The radio works well, all lights work. Aftermarket horn installed. Rear passenger side cargo area window cracked but I have just been running it as is for a while now. New Drivers side window motor. The passenger side is slow and may need some attention but the motors are cheap on ebay (less than $50 if I recall). AC does not work...suspect it just needs a charge but never bothered to get it done, Heater makes a racket on high, Power locks do not work and need attention, Cruise works sometimes and sometimes not. You probably won't be on the highway with this anyway!
I've owned several project vehicles in varying states of disrepair prior to this truck. When I bought it, I bought it because I wanted something I didn't have to tow to the mechanic every week and that's what I got. The truck starts every time, runs good, looks good and when you have a bunch of people in it with a cooler, makes for alot of fun! Now if you think the truck is perfect and everything works like a new vehicle or restored show truck, please move on. It has some weekend projects left in it, but nothing that will prevent you from going for a ride.

GM recalls 83,572 SUVs for ignition switch issue
Sun, Jan 4 2015General Motors is recalling 83,572 SUVs from the 2011 and 2012 model years over a potential ignition lock actuator issue. In affected vehicles, the actuator isn't the right size, which could cause the ignition to get stuck in the "Start" position, and then either due to a jarring event or a "cool interior temperature" the ignition could switch back to the "Accessory" position. Doing so would cause a loss of power assistance and the airbags might not deploy. This is a different ignition issue than the one that's been ongoing for the past year. GM said it expects that less than 500 vehicles suffer from the problem, but that the pool could include vehicles from 2007 through to 2014 that have already been fixed, but with defective parts. The 2011-2012 SUVs included in the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration notice: Cadillac Escalade, Escalade ESV, Escalade EXT, Chevrolet Avalanche, Silverado HD, Silverado LD, Suburban, Tahoe, GMC Sierra LD, Sierra HD, Yukon, and Yukon XL vehicles. GM will notify owners and dealers will inspect the ignition lock housing to see if it needs a free replacement. RECALL Subject : Ignition Lock Actuator may Bind Report Receipt Date: DEC 30, 2014 NHTSA Campaign Number: 14V827000 Component(s): ELECTRICAL SYSTEM Manufacturer: General Motors LLC SUMMARY: General Motors LLC (GM) is recalling certain model year 2011-2012 Cadillac Escalade, Escalade ESV, Escalade EXT, Chevrolet Avalanche, Silverado HD, Silverado LD, Suburban, Tahoe, GMC Sierra LD, Sierra HD, Yukon, and Yukon XL vehicles. In the affected vehicles, the ignition lock actuator may bind, making turning the key difficult or causing the ignition to get stuck in the "Start" position. CONSEQUENCE: If stuck in the "Start" position, the ignition may suddenly snap back into the "Accessory" position, causing a loss of engine, steering, and braking power, increasing the risk of a vehicle crash. If the vehicle is in a crash, the air bags may not deploy, increasing the risk of occupant injury. REMEDY: GM will notify owners, and dealers will inspect and replace the ignition lock housing, as necessary, free of charge. The manufacturer has not yet provided a notification schedule. Refreshed 2014 Camaro confirmed for New York debut
Thu, 07 Mar 2013We've already seen leaked specs and potential spy shots, but the refreshed 2014 Chevrolet Camaro will make its official debut at the New York Auto Show in a few weeks.
Besides a tweaked exterior and the possibility of a high-output LS7 under the hood, we really don't know much else about the 2014 Camaro, but here's hoping for an improved interior, too.
In addition to the refreshed Camaro, Chevrolet will also be showing off the recently introduced Chevrolet SS, making its debut on the auto show circuit, and we'll also get our first look at the C7 Corvette coupe and convertible side-by-side.
