Chevrolet: Silverado 2500 Crew Cab on 2040-cars
Idaho Falls, Idaho, United States
Original owner, well maintained-- non smoker (EVER!) All power options. 6 disc CD changer, Bose speakers. Very low 56,000 miles (subject to small use increase) Clean car fax, all factory original-- no modifications to engine. Truck runs great. I always changed oil/lubed myself, as well as changed fuel filter. Differential, transfer case and ATF serviced twice at Croces transmission-- last service last year. Tires were installed last Fall and have approximately 6k on them. They are snow tires. One battery replaced 3 months ago. The brakes and rotors were replaced at 45k. The plow is 8 western-- the cutting edge is one season old, and the motor was replaced last year. Hydro oil has been changed every year-- dielectric grease always re-applied to plugs. The plow has a little surface rust on small back corner. I always coat with WD40 pre/post useI hate to part with this truck because I love it..... but I bought a new one for tax purposes so this one has to go. Everything works on it as it should-- AC is cold, reverse lights. The drivers seat has some small checks in leather. Some stains when back seat folded down on carpet from where wet chains were placed-- I never tried to clean. It is very fast and powerful. Minor surface rust on chasisI am happy to answer questionsI can be reached at 203-984-1973 REG was transferred from me to my business--thats why says 2 ownersThe top portion of bed liner is cut--I did so a tonneau cover would fit (which I no longer have) makes it easy to dump debris left in bed

Question of the Day: What's the most irritating car name?
Wed, Mar 9 2016You hear a lot about how the Chevrolet Nova was a sales flop in Mexico because "No va" means "it doesn't go" in Spanish; in fact, the Nova sold pretty well south of the border, and in any case most Spanish-speakers know that "Nova" means "new" in Latin and Portuguese. However, General Motors doesn't deserve to be let off the hook for bad car names, because the Oldsmobile Achieva— no doubt inspired by the excruciating "coffee achievers" ads of the 1980s— scrapes the biggest fingernails down the screechiest chalkboard in the US-market car-name world. That is, unless you think Daihatsu's incomprehensible choice of Charade was worse. Meanwhile, Japanese car buyers could get machines with cool names like Mazda Bongo Friendee or Honda Life Dunk. It's just not fair! So, what car name drives you the craziest? Related Video: Auto News Design/Style Chevrolet Honda Mazda Daihatsu Automotive History questions car names
Veyron and C7 Corvette join cast of Transformers 4
Wed, 29 May 2013Like the Fast & Furious franchise, the Michael Bay-directed series of Transformers movies has become known as much for its bad acting as its impressive lineup of cars. As filming just started for Transformers 4, Bay's website has confirmed two new cars for the next installment as well as a makeover for everyone's favorite tractor trailer hero, Optimus Prime.
Joining the cast of T4 are a "race-inspired" Chevrolet Corvette Stingray and a Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse. While Bay's website did not supply names for either car, Bugatti is reporting on its Facebook page that the Veyron will join the Autobots. Speaking of the good guys, top Autobot Optimus Prime is getting an all-new body based on a Western Star with a gaudy appearance that was seemingly inspired by Trick My Truck - right down to the six smoke stacks and side pipes!
Chevy up to old EVs-equal-range-anxiety tricks in new Volt Olympics ad
Fri, Feb 14 2014General Motors is at it again with a new Chevrolet Volt TV commercial. Viewers of the Winter Olymics (at least in some markets) recently saw a TV ad in between the skating and the skiing that made no mention of the environmental benefits or freedom from the power of Big Oil that electric vehicles provide. No, this one was based on pure survival instinct. In the video, a father is driving down a highway, perhaps through the Mojave Desert. His young son is sitting in the Volt's backseat and asks what happens when the EV's battery runs out. "We'll have to cross that burning desert with snakes and cactus until we make it back to civilization," the dad tells his son as they pass the skeleton of a fallen bull. The fine print makes it clear that the actual maximum range is 342 miles. But there is hope. The father tells his son, with a beaming smile on his face, that the gas generator has kicked in and they're going to make it through the desert. As they wend their way to the horizon, a voice over says that Volt drivers who charge up regularly are making it 900 miles between fill ups. The fine print makes it clear that the actual official maximum range before you need to either plug in or fill up is 342 miles. This theme that emphasized range anxiety has been utilized by GM since the extended range Volt was launched in late 2010, despite the fact that Chevrolet now offers an all-electric vehicle in the Spark EV. Volt fans are praising the commercial, called The New Freedom, on the GM-Volt forum and you can see for yourself below. This content is hosted by a third party.
