2011 Chevy Silverado 2500hd Truck 4x4 6.0l Crew Cab Lifted No Reserve on 2040-cars
Stevens Point, Wisconsin, United States
InfoI've owned this truck for around 3 years, I have not had any mechanical issues outside of one issue with the stabilitrak sensor, I paid approximately $600 for a replacement part. This truck was adult owned and taken off road sparingly for hunting seasons. Standard Options
Upgrades
IssuesThere are only a few cosmetic issues to speak, one is the rear driver's side rocker panel. The fender flair's rubber gasket has slipped causing the plastic to rub against the paint, I received a $700 quote on repair there. Another issue is the quarter size hole in the passenger seat. I have been told it would be around $400 to replace the upholstery. The final issue that I would take care of if I were keeping the truck would be the front wheel wells. When I moved from 35" tires to 37" tires the body needed a small amount of modding to make the tires fit at full articulation. I would have liked to replace the wheel well plastic and move to bushwhacker flairs. Ultimately I want people to know exactly what they are buying without any surprises at all. I really enjoyed this truck and the only reason I am selling it is to coalesce down to one vehicle. YouTube link of truck driving around 65mph: http://youtu.be/Xeh-wgp7Z6s |

The Jitterbugs somersaulted at the 1986 Chicago Auto Show for the Chevy Nova
Tue, Dec 30 2014Judging by the vintage videos that the Chicago Auto Show has been uploading, if you wanted to check out the latest vehicles and watch some dancers in the same place in the late '80s and early '90s, then the Windy City event was definitely the place to be. We've already seen the Footlockers pitching the Cavalier in '88 and a troupe of women singing about the Geo brand in '91. Apparently, the trend went back even further, though. Just take a look at this group called the Jitterbugs selling some badge-engineered products from Chevrolet at the 1986 show. Flanked by the Chevy Nova and Spectrum, these guys managed to do a few pretty impressive jumps and somersaults but mixed them with some rather uninspired spins, as well. Also, wait for 1:24 into the clip to see the least enthusiastic backup dancers that the world has ever known. The Jitterbugs are even further proof that Chevy's habit of mixing dancing and its vehicles goes back even further than the Volt. Watch a camo'ed next-gen Chevy Volt go ice driving
Tue, Dec 23 2014Teasers for the 2016 Chevy Volt continue, The Bowtie showing us in this latest outing how its range-extended hybrid dances on ice and snow. It will only take 42 seconds of your life so don't expect an Arctic challenge, but if you in the snow regions had any doubts about how it will handle the frozen goods, this should help assuage them. The bigger and better, more powerful and faster Volt - able to run regular fuel - will get out from under its camo at the North American International Auto Show next month. For now, enjoy the way it moves its hips in the video above. News Source: Chevrolet via YouTube, Facebook Detroit Auto Show Chevrolet Videos
Watch the National Corvette Museum sinkhole being filled in by R/C cars
Sun, Jan 11 2015Okay, so not exactly cars, but Bobcats - but still quite cool. You might remember that the National Corvette Museum had that little divot that needed to be filled in. Turns out the construction firm of Scott, Murphy & Daniel doing the work is using two remote-controlled Bobcats to fill the sinkhole with "manufactured sand," which in this case is crushed limestone. It appears that the Bobcat company has offered remote operation since at least 2007 via a wireless transmitter that works up to 1,500 feet away. So yes, that means two SMD employees stand on the edge of the pit and flick joystick levers for hours at a time, one in charge of a Bobcat with a roller-compactor attachment, the other in charge of a Bobcat with a bucket. And that, to us, is a pretty good way to earn the daily bread. Check out the video above for the latest sinkhole update.
