2005 Chevrolet 2500hd Crew Cab Diesel 4x4, Southern Truck on 2040-cars
Kempton, Pennsylvania, United States
For sale is my 2005 Chevrolet 2500HD Crew cab with 4-wheel drive. I bought the truck five years ago from a private party in Florida and have lived and kept the truck in Louisiana since then. This has kept the typical rust from road salt off of the truck. The truck has the 6.6l Duramax diesel motor coupled with an Allison transmission. The engine and transmission are solid. For upgraded performance the truck has an aftermarket exhaust, ram air intake, and edge programmer. The truck pulls trailers effortlessly and sounds smooth. Other upgrades to the truck include a front end leveling kit and swapping Hummer H2 wheels. This combination allows for 305/70 17 (33.8x12) tires to fit under the truck. The tires currently have about 15% life left on them. The interior of the truck is absolutely loaded. Bose audio system, leather seats, power windows and locks. There is a 1" cut in the rear seat and has been there since I bought the truck. Also the edge of the headliner on the drivers side is curling down I believe from having the windows rolled down. Exteriorly the truck is in relatively good shape. There are small scratches to the paint around the truck as expected with the age as well as dents and scratches in the bed from hauling cargo. The inside of the bed was recently recoated with bed liner to touch up the old bed liner. The only big discrepancy with the truck is a large dent on the right rear fender. The dent just occurred at christmas when my friend backed into the truck in the driveway. The dent has been pressed out, but not fixed. Overall the truck has been well maintained and is in great functioning conditions. If you would like to know more or see the vehicle for yourself please message me. I am open to answer any questions as well as provide more information and photos.

First-edition Detroit muscle raises millions for charity at Barrett-Jackson
Mon, Jan 19 2015Amidst all the classic metal crossing the auction block each year in Scottsdale, AZ, Detroit automakers have a tradition of donating the first examples of their most enticing new muscle cars, with the proceeds of their sales going towards worthwhile charities. This year, Barrett-Jackson handled three noteworthy examples. The highest price among them was the first Ford Shelby GT350R Mustang with the VIN #001, which raised $1 million for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. General Motors donated the first new Chevy Corvette Z06 Convertible, the first retail example of the droptop supercar garnering $800,000 for the United Way. Along with the Z06, GM also donated the first new 2016 Cadillac CTS-V sedan, which brought in $170,000 for Detroit's College for Creative Studies. Although these were the headline Motown muscle machines furnished by the automakers themselves, they weren't the only vehicles auctioned off for worthy causes. A 1950 GM Futurliner bus donated by collector Ron Pratte led the charge when it brought in $4.65 million for the Armed Forces Foundation. Other lots included a custom Jeep Wrangler donated by SEMA ($85k), a new M5 donated by BMW ($800k), a '79 Oldsmobile Cutlass Hurst ($140k), '39 Cadillac LaSalle C-Hawk ($410k), Jeff Gordon's 1999 NASCAR-spec Chevy Monte Carlo ($500k) and a Victory Cross Country 8-Ball motorcycle ($180k). All told, the charity lots raised over $8.7 million for local and national charities. General Motors Recalls Nearly 780,000 Cars To Fix Deadly Problem
Thu, Feb 13 2014General Motors is recalling nearly 780,000 compact cars in North America because the engines can shut down unexpectedly and cause crashes. The company says six people have been killed in crashes related to the problem. The recall affects Chevrolet Cobalts and Pontiac G5s from the 2005 through 2007 model years. U.S. safety regulators say the weight of the key ring and rough roads can move the ignition switch out of the run position, cutting the engine and electricity. If that happens, air bags may not work. GM says there have been 22 crashes from the problem. All happened at high speeds. Dealers will replace the ignition switch for free. GM says owners should remove nonessential items from key rings until the problem is fixed.
