2001 Silverado 2500 Hd 6.0 Ltr Engine 48,000 Miles. 2nd Owner Super Clean. on 2040-cars
Urbana, Ohio, United States
This truck was garaged indoors and only used during the summer months for mosquito control operations in suburban Cook County, Illinois. I have all of the service records with this truck. I have the build sheet as well. I am the second owner. This truck has no rust whatsoever, anywhere. This truck rarely saw the light of day. Mosquito abatement is done very late at night and the truck is back in the garage before daybreak. The truck is very, very clean. Here for your consideration is a 2001 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD with a regular cab and eight foot bed with 48,780 original miles. The truck has a 6.0 liter V 8 gasoline engine with automatic transmission. The truck is rear wheel drive. It has a six year AC Delco battery that is two years old. The truck is equipped with a set of Goodyear Wrangler Pro-Grade Silent Armor six ply tires with less than 4,000 miles on them. They are like new and very expensive. The truck runs great. Everything works just as it should. The paint is very shiney with no fading. The headlights and tail lights have no clouding at all. The interior could use a good cleaning. The seats have no rips or tears. The rubber floor mat is solid as well. The air conditioning works perfectly. It came from the factory with a tow package, but they never used it. It had a tank with a pump in the bed. I could only list twenty four photos. So i had to stop somewhere. The engine compartment is clean and un-molested. The door panels are undamaged. The headliner is as it should be, no signs of sagging and such. All of my dealings are on the level and by the square. If you have any questions please contact me. I am more than willing to talk to you by phone if you like. Just include your phone number in the email and we can talk about it. I am only selling this truck because I never use it. I work in a factory and thats all I get done is work. 8600 lb G.V.W.R. 4 speed automatic with tow / haul mode and cooler heavy duty 4 wheel disc brakes Tire size 245 / 75 R 16 6 ply Full size matching spare 130 amp alternator Gauge package AM FM stereo radio with 4 speakers Standard mirrors Fleet color Wheatland Yellow Air conditioning Heavy duty suspension 4.10 rear differential - locking Factory trailer package with weight distribution platform hitch 7 lead trailer wire warness Engine oil cooler Rhino bed lining 48,780 miles

We really want to use an eCrate to restomod an old GM car. Here's what we'd build
Fri, Oct 30 2020You hopefully saw the news today of GM's introduction of its Connect and Cruise eCrate motor and battery package, which effectively makes the Bolt's electric motor, battery pack and myriad other elements available to, ah, bolt into a different vehicle. It's the same concept as installing a gasoline-powered crate motor into a classic car, but with electricity and stuff. This, of course, got us thinking about what we'd stuff the eCrate into. Before we got too ahead of ourselves, however, we discovered that the eCrate battery pack is literally the Bolt EV pack in not only capacity but size and shape. In other words, you need to have enough space in the vehicle to place and/or stuff roughly 60% of a Chevy Bolt's length. It's not a big car, but that's still an awful lot of real estate. There's a reason GM chose to simply plop the pack into the bed and cargo area of old full-size SUVs. Well that, and having a rear suspension beefy enough to handle about 1,000 pounds of batteries. So after that buzz kill, we still wanted to peruse the GM back catalog for classics we'd love to see transformed into an electric restomod that might be able to swallow all that battery ... maybe ... possibly ... whatever, saws and blow torches exist for a reason. 1971 Buick Riviera Consumer Editor Jeremy Korzeniewski: If you’re going to build an electric conversion, why not do it with style? ThatÂ’s why IÂ’m choosing a 1971-1973 Buick Riviera. You know, the one with the big glass boat-tail rear end that ends in a pointy V. Being a rather large vehicle with a big sloping fastback shape, IÂ’m hoping thereÂ’s enough room in the trunk and back seat to pack in the requisite battery pack. That would likely require cutting away some of the metal bulkhead that supports the rear seatback, but not so much that a wee bit of structural bracing couldnÂ’t shore things up. The big 455-cubic-inch Buick V8 up front will obviously have to go. Remember, this was the 1970s, so despite all that displacement, the Riviera only had around 250 horsepower (depending on the year and the trim level). So the electric motorÂ’s 200 horsepower and 266 pound-feet of torque ought to work as an acceptable replacement.  1982 Chevrolet S10 Associate Editor Byron Hurd: OK, so the name "E-10" is already taken by a completely different truck, but let's not let labels get in the way of a fun idea.
Watch a camo'ed next-gen Chevy Volt go ice driving
Tue, Dec 23 2014Teasers for the 2016 Chevy Volt continue, The Bowtie showing us in this latest outing how its range-extended hybrid dances on ice and snow. It will only take 42 seconds of your life so don't expect an Arctic challenge, but if you in the snow regions had any doubts about how it will handle the frozen goods, this should help assuage them. The bigger and better, more powerful and faster Volt - able to run regular fuel - will get out from under its camo at the North American International Auto Show next month. For now, enjoy the way it moves its hips in the video above. News Source: Chevrolet via YouTube, Facebook Detroit Auto Show Chevrolet Videos
