Hello!  I just acquired this truck today so all I have history wise is what the seller told me.  He seemed like an honest guy, so I made the deal.

This is a 2000 Chevy 2500 Silverado work truck with the emphasis on "work truck"!!  The seller told me that the guy he bought it from had the engine rebuilt around 20K miles ago.  But no papers were provided as proof.  But from how it runs and sounds, he probably is not lying about it. This truck looks really good from the distance, but as you get closer you see that the bed has been beat to hell. There are quite a few nit-picky things wrong with it, but as far as actually using it at the job site, or your farm/ranch or just for mudding, those little details won't matter.  What matters is that it has a powerful 6.0 V8 and a smooth shifting automatic transmission, and 4X4 that works!  I was also told that it has a locking rear end.  The AC works good.  The interior is kinda rough mainly because the lid to center seat console is broken and duck-taped.  The seats are kind of dirty, and could use a real detailing!  The windshield is cracked, but did not affect my visibility. the outside door handle on drivers side "4th" door is broken and gone.  but the door is easily opened by the inside handle. The handle to the hood release is broken off, but the cable is right there and easy to pull to release the hood. The tailgate handle is broken, and I have not tried to open it.  It doesn't look like there is any rust that I could tell.  The tires are good-year wranglers and are like new.  The exhaust sounds awesome!  Maybe flowmasters or something similar! Truck has 1 key and a key fob that will lock and unlock the doors.  The panic button is gone from key fob. This truck has a clear Alabama title.  The hood and front clip look good for this being a 13 year old work truck.  i only drove this truck a little, but I had it in the city and the highway and it drives really good and tracks nicely.  It has  a tow package.
Now please remember:  this is a work truck!!  I tried to capture all faults and good things that my camera could show.  If you want a show truck, then please look elsewhere!  if you want an everyday work truck that you won't mind scratching or getting scratched, here is your truck!  Please do not bid so that you can come look at it after the sale and tell me that this or that is wrong with it.  when you place a bid, it tells me that you read the description, and you looked at the pictures, and you have no further questions.  PLEASE ask all questions before you bid!  I do not like surprises and I know you don't either.
I expect payment within 3 days of end of auction.  It can sit in my yard as long as needed after I receive full payment.  If you need shipping, I recommend USHIP.COM.  I will not participate in the shipping process, but I will be as much help as possible to your shippers!
This is a great deal for the man or woman that needs a good affordable work truck!

Next-gen GMC Sierra spied with diesel power

Tue, Sep 5 2017

The next generation of GM trucks is arriving soon, and we're expecting a huge leap forward over the current lineup. The Chevy Silverado and the GMC SIerra sell extremely well, but haven't done much to move the segment forward in a long time. The Ford F-150 has an all-aluminum body and turbocharged V6 power. The Ram 1500 gained a diesel and coil spring suspension. These spy shots show that diesel may be in the cards for GM. Some quick shots and copious use of flash show what is most likely a tank for diesel exhaust fluid and a diesel particulate filter, both necessary equipment for any modern diesel. It's unclear what form factor that engine will come in, though GM has a number of engines to choose from, including the 2.8-liter inline four that's found in the Colorado and Canyon, though that may be a little light duty for the Silverado and Sierra. Other rumors surrounding the trucks suggest a move to an aluminum cab while retaining a steel bed. That seems like a reasonable move for GM, even if the company was attempting to shame Ford for its move to aluminum a few years ago. Look for more news as early as the Detroit Auto Show in January. Looking back at the Citation IV concept that likely shaped the GM EV1

Wed, Aug 20 2014

Those who forget history are condemned to repeat it. We're not sure how that applies to the GM EV1, but we'd still like to share something from Autoline Daily, an online automotive new show with our friend John McElroy. He's been covering the business for decades now and recently found something interesting: pictures of the 1984 Chevrolet Citation IV concept, seen above. Displayed half a decade before the first electric concept that would become the EV1 (inset), McElroy says it's now clear that the elegant, aerodynamic EV1 took a lot of styling cues from the Citation IV, which was developed in part thanks to GM's new-at-the-time Aerodynamics Laboratory. We agree with him that the spats over the rear wheels, the flush glass, and the covered headlights all bear a certain kind of similarity between the two cars. That the colors almost match is a nice coincidence. The Impact (the concept version of the EV1) looked "frumpier," McElroy says, because it wasn't as long as the Citation. You can read a lot more about the Citation IV here and check out McElroy's thoughts in the video below. Find the Citation starting at around 3:45. This content is hosted by a third party. Recharge Wrap-up: Detroit Electric teaser video, Nissan Leaf is Good Housekeeping "Tried and Tested"

Mon, Oct 20 2014

Detroit Electric has a new teaser video and has updated its brand in preparation of the introduction of the SP:01. The refreshed logo uses a blue and white color palette, and the company has also given its website a new look. The teaser video, which gives a sneak peek at the exterior of the SP:01, shows the car taking form in the midst of an electrical storm. Watch the video or learn more in the press release below. Abengoa is celebrating the grand opening of a commercial scale cellulosic ethanol plant in Hugoton, KS. When running at full scale, the refinery will produce up to 25 million gallons of ethanol a year. The plant will also generate enough electricity to power itself and put some back into the grid. Energy Secretary Ernest Moniz was on hand for the dedication, saying, "Every gallon of cellulosic ethanol produced and used to fuel our vehicles reduces the impact of harmful greenhouse gas emissions by greater than 60 percent as compared to conventional gasoline." Learn more at Energy.gov. Good Housekeeping has named the Nissan Leaf one of its "Tried and Tested" vehicles. The magazine called the Leaf SL its top "Roomy Electric" vehicle in its November issue. The magazine's research institute evaluated the EV based on track and road driving, ergonomics and convenience features. Good Housekeeping made note of the car's "impressive" range, but according to Nissan's Fred Diaz, "the real beauty of the Nissan Leaf is that it's roomy and, best of all, fun to drive." Read more in the press release below. Quasar Energy Group produces compressed natural gas from sewage and garbage. It uses things like grains leftover from brewing Budweiser, food waste from a baseball stadium and sewage sludge to produce the gas through anaerobic digestion. The compressed gas can then be used to power cars like Chevrolet's Bi-fuel Impala, which goes on sale later this year. Chevrolet likens the situation to the Delorean time machine in the Back To The Future movie series, which uses garbage to fuel its fusion generator.
