This truck has been maintained by the original owner and all the oil changes we done every 3000 miles using mobile 1 synthetic motor oil. The owner had a professional installed sound system with amp and extra speakers mounted behind the seats.(see Pic's) Also it has a K&N Air filter and a custom exhaust with the tail pipes exiting  before the right rear wheel, Sounds Nice, not to loud (see pic's.) This truck runs and drives perfect with no known issues. The paint is all original and shines brilliantly with only a few minor imperfections. The interior is near perfect with no signs of wear and is extra clean being a no smokers vehicle. The A/C is ice cold and everything is working as it should except for the steering wheel controls for the radio because the radio is aftermarket. The factory alloys are in great shape and the Michlens Tires have plenty of thread left. The original spare tire never hit the ground. The undercarriage is very clean (see pic's) Please keep in mind this is a One Owner, 73,927 mile Sportside Silverado with a 5.3 liter  V-8 with all the right equiptment in extremely nice condition and also remeber it's a Rust Free Florida Vehicle. (There is a Difference) The Auto Check History Report is clean, showing no accidents or issues and a very high auto check score. Bid with convidence I'm a licensed and  bonded dealer here is Port Charlotte Florida and my goal is to keep my feedback at 100% positive. I only buy Quality Vehicles without stories and will do all I can to make this a pleasureable buying experience. If your flying in and driving home I would be more than happy to pick you up at the airport. SRQ Airport in Sarasota or RSW in Fort Myers. I can also issue a 30 temp tag for your drive home at no cost to you.  Please keep in mind even though this vehicle is in above average condition it is still almost 10 years old so minor imperfections should be expected but may or may not be present. If you have any questions or concerns please call me direct @ 508 735-5071 Thanks in advance!

Best cars for snow and ice in 2023 and 2024

Tue, Jan 23 2024

What's the best car for snow? The real answer is "the one with winter tires." What do we mean by that? You could have the finest, most advanced all-wheel-drive system or four-wheel drive in the world, but if you're running all-seasons (the spork of tires), your fancy four-wheeler won't matter much. The odds are, any vehicle on the road running good winter tires will probably perform adequately in slippery, slushy and/or snowy road conditions. (Here's a more complete explanation of why winter tires are totally worth it). In other words, you don't really need any of the cars on this list. With a set of winter tires, countless others will do the job, and even these will be at their best with proper rubber. You can find a variety of winter tires for your car here at Tire Rack. Keep in mind that you will need a full set of four snow tires for safety and performance, no matter what you're driving. The days of your dad putting just two snows on the family truckster to get it moving in a straight line are long gone. Don't get us wrong, getting a car that performs well in snow and ice is still a worthy criteria for car buyers. According to the U.S. Transportation Department, 70% of Americans live in places that get snow and ice. And much of the country has been blasted with arctic air for much of the new year. So let's look at the cars. First, we're highlighting choices for a variety of buyers and price points. Second, we're not just considering snow; we're considering general wintery conditions people will experience driving to work or school. As such, these are all choices with advanced all-wheel-drive systems, usually with "torque-vectoring" systems that not only automatically shunt power front and back, but side to side between the rear axles. Most have extra ground clearance for getting through deep snow, and we prefer those vehicles with more responsive steering, throttles and transmissions that provide a greater sense of vehicle control in slippery conditions.    Acura RDX Read our Acura RDX Review Acura's Super-Handling All-Wheel Drive system was one of the first to offer torque-vectoring, and besides often being touted for its ability to greatly enhanced dry-road handling, its benefits in the slick stuff can be profound. It's actually surprising that Acura hasn't leaned into this capability further by offering more rugged versions of its vehicles.

Recharge Wrap-up: Indianapolis to switch 425 fleet vehicles to EVs, Chevy Corvette provides bat habitats

Tue, Nov 4 2014

Indianapolis will deploy 425 battery electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles as part of its municipal fleet by 2016. The fleet will include such cars as the Nissan Leaf, Chevrolet Volt and Ford Fusion Energi. The city will also reduce its overall fleet by 100 vehicles. In all, the revised group - called the "Freedom Fleet" - will save $8.7 million and 2.2 million gallons of gasoline over 10 years. Read more at Hybrid Cars. EVs with longer range would make vehicle-to-home and vehicle-to-grid energy management systems more practical for the US. The idea of using EVs as energy storage for emergencies or times of high grid demand is currently being tested in Japan with Nissan's Leaf-to-Home system. The US is also interested in such capabilities, but the higher average energy use of American households would make larger batteries in EVs ideal for grid storage applications. Read more at Green Car Reports. LG Chem has broken ground on its EV battery plant in Nanjing, China. The factory, when constructed, will have a capacity of producing batteries for 100,000 cars per year according to the Korean company. The plant will supply batteries for Chinese automakers such as SAIC and Qoros. Construction is expected to be finished by the end of 2015 and LG Chem expects revenue of more than $933 million by 2020. Read more in the press release below. General Motors is using adhesive used in the Chevrolet Corvette Stingray to create habitat for threatened bat species. Artificial bat caves could help alleviate white-nose fungus that leads to diminished bat populations. Leftover adhesive is used to create stalactites in the artificial caves, allowing them more structure to hang from. GM has also provided Volt battery covers to create nesting habitats for bats, which eat harmful insects and help pollinate plants. See the videos and read more in the press release below. LG Chem officially breaks ground for China EV battery plant Seoul, Korea - Oct 30, 2014 – LG Chem, Korea's leading manufacturer of advanced batteries, held a ground breaking ceremony for the construction of electric-car battery plant in Nanjing, China, to meet growing demand in the world's biggest car market.
