Up for auction is one VERY NICE 2006 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 standard cab short bed pick up. This truck was special ordered by my father and is rare in that you don't see to many standard cab short beds being produced any more. The exterior color is black and the paint shines like the day it rolled of the assembly line. The body is in in excellent condition with no dings or scratches, The charcoal interior is as nice as the exterior and still smells new ( non-smoker). This is an LT model and features ; Power windows, tinted glass, Keyless entry, dual zone HVAC, overhead console w map lights, sliding rear window, power door locks, color keyed floor mats, dual power heated outside mirrors, cruise control, enhanced audio speakers, am/fm stereo with CD and fog lights. The truck was also ordered the light duty power package which includes Vortec 5300 flex fuel V8, locking differential rear end with 3.73 gear ratio, and HD trailering package ( this truck has never had a trailer hooked to it). The additional equipment that was added by my Father and I include 20" Tahoe wheels with Bridgestone tires, Berlin soft toneau cover, 2" lowering shackles for the rear suspension(gave the truck a level stance), K&N Cold Air Intake and Flowmaster Super Truck side exit exhaust system (sounds awesome). There is also a car cover that goes with the truck as it was parked and covered in the winter . This truck has never seen snow! As I stated earlier this truck was purchased by my late father and has been maintained by me his son. The Poncho is dead. Long live the Poncho. Like certain other reoccurring personal maladies, the aftermarket community simply can't let the Trans Am go without another flare up. The guys at Trans Am Depot have worked up a quick commercial for their newest creation: The 2013 Trans Am Hurst Edition, and it watches pretty much like you'd expect it to. The footage is comprised of just about every TA male fantasy you can conceive of, from Daisy Dukes and white tank tops to tramp stamps, bikinis and ice cream cones. There simply aren't words for what you'll see below.
Of course, we like our T-Tops as much as the next guy. If you like what you see in the videos, you can pick up your very own TA by heading over to the Trans Am Depot site. The guys even have Chevrolet Camaro-based versions of the Pontiac GTO if the '77 TA treatment is too much for your tastes. Enjoy, but don't say we didn't warn you.

Which of these five plug-ins should win the 2017 Green Car of the Year?

It's going to be a competitive race for the 2017 Green Car Of The Year. With a minivan in the running for the first time in ages, the five finalists announced by Green Car Journal today include five very different plug-in vehicles. As Ron Cogan, the editor and publisher of Green Car Journal, said in a statement, "electrification is now considered by most automakers an essential technology for current and future high-efficiency models." Let's check out the list: Toyota Prius Prime, the updated plug-in version of the world's best-selling hybrid. Chevy Bolt, GM's all-new entry into the long-range EV game. Chrysler Pacifica, a family hauler with the ability to go 30 miles on electric power. Kia Optima. The nomination is for the full line-up, but really the hybrid and plug-in hybrid models are the green stars here. BMW 330e iPerformance, one of the automaker's many new plug-in hybrids that bring battery power to models outside the i sub-brand. Green Car Journal will announce the winners at the Los Angeles Auto Show on November 17th, along with some, "other green transportation announcements," whatever that means. Last year, the winner was the 2016 Chevy Volt, the first model to snatch up two wins. Which do you think should win this year? Car and Driver reveals spy shots of mid-engine 2017 Corvette

Some news in the car world is perennial, and some is perennially wrong. Typically news about some upcoming mid-engined Chevy Corvette has fallen into the latter category, with rumors never yet generating a road car. This time could very well be different. Car and Driver has some exclusive photographs of what would appear to be a Corvette test mule with a mid-mounted engine. The car in question might look like a Holden SSV ute that's undergone some indelicate modification, but C/D editor Don Sherman assures that the bones of a C8 'Vette live within that crude bodywork. Sherman points to the closeness of the cabin to the front axle as clue number one of this car's mid-engine attitude, as well as the powertrain-sized space between the back of the seats and the rear axle. The roof and glasshouse are all clearly plucked from the current C7, and the gas tank filler positioned on the B-pillar is another huge clue. The buff book estimates that the mule points to a timeline for sale, even. Testing on this level could mean a mid-engined C8 ready for sale in as few as 20 months, or for the 2017 model year.
