This is all and everything for this truck. I never intended on selling her, but I need to pull the trigger for my kids sake. Kelly Blue Book is 9,500.00 without extras. 1) Rear bumper needs work, bad rust(see pictures) 2) Body may have a little rust, but nothing really showing. 3) Underneath the truck, see the pictures. It has normal wear/tear/rust. Nothing bad. 4) Front bumper has the start of rust by plate mounts. 5) Needs new speedometer sensor. 6) Needs new front window. 7) Small tears in seating on the sides. Nothing big. Never smoked in. 8) Transmission has failed. Stuck in first. Can be driven on to a tow truck/trailer. 9) Rear shocks (2 shocks) should be replaced in the next year or so. The big cost was the front, and I just did them 3 months ago. (6 shocks) (1500) 10) I let the truck sit a few years back, rain over time cause a weak point in the frame. I had it repaired right so it wont be a issue in the future but I feel I have to mention it. Buyers can have copy of invoice if wanted, 3500.00. Cant tell in images it was ever touched. Now, This is what spec's I have for this truck. 1) 2003 silverado 1500, V8, 4.8L with 87,500 miles on it. No motor work ever done. Besides maintenance...oil..ect. 2) Added pics of a car fax, to show this vehicle was never in a accident. The carfax doesn't show the frame repair listed above, not sure why...but the frame won't be a issue. 3) Feel free to run anything on it, this is the VIN # : 1GCEK19V23E242929. 4) Lifted in 2006 with a 6" front, and 5" rear suspension lift. Pro Comp Kit. With Variable MX6 Shocks. 6 up front & 2 in the rear. 5) 17" American Rims. Black Teflon. 8 Hole pattern. One center piece missing. 6) Goodyear MT/R LT305/70R with at least 1/2 tread left. 35" swing roughly. 7) 4x4 on floor. 8) Anti-lock brakes still have 60% plus left. 9) Interior Floor is similar to a Jeep, No carpet. Done by Chevy, its a rubber/pastic composite I believe. Good shape. 10) Audio Bahn 10" speakers in a custom fit to truck box. I slid the box out to show in the pictures. Audio Bahn amp, all ran to a Sony CD in dash player. 11)Rhino Lining in bed. was done in 2004, and bed is in great shape. 12) MX6 Variable shocks, 3 per wheel up front. New just a few months back. (see pic's) (variable gas shock) 13) Reese tow Hitch, Tow package from Chevy originally. Reese added in 2007. "Tow Beast" Sadly, I never towed a thing with it. 14) Westin Black running steps. 15) Dual A/C controls. Heat. 16) Air bags are fine, it has a option in it to turn off or turn to auto for the passenger air bag. 17) Anything I didn't list on here works fine. Motor good, interior good, radiator good, battery good, runs well, cant shift*, start fine, stereo system fine, 4x4 good... I assume that someone who can replace the trans themselves would be interested. Otherwise looking at 3,000.00 to replace. It is a Allison 1000 I believe. I know its a Allison. Still if price is right, and it is. The truck has many years to go in it. With my new family members and work I am just throwing my towel in on it. Title, Manual, and 3 keys go with it. THANKS FOR LOOKING, HAPPY HUNTING |

Here are all the EVs with 800V charging available in 2024
Fri, May 31 2024As technology advances, electric cars are improving their fast-charging times. That means less time spent waiting at a DC public charger when you’re out on the road. While Level 3 chargers used to provide a maximum of 150 kilowatts of power, 350-kW chargers are become more common, making for super-fast charging Â… if your car is capable of taking advantage of it. So how do automakers improve the charging speed of their EV batteries? Some are turning to higher voltage, specifically 800V charging. What's the difference between 800-volt charging and 400-volt charging? So how does 800V charging improve upon the more common 400V EVs? Put simply, the higher the voltage, the less amperage (current) it requires to charge. In other words, with more voltage, you get more wattage (power, aka charge rate) from the same amperage (current). 800V architecture is also more efficient, with less electrical resistance, so it can use thinner cables and smaller, lighter components while needing less cooling. The tradeoff is that it is more costly, and guess who that cost gets passed on to. While automakers don't break down their pricing to show how much more you're paying for that 800V system, you'll just have to evaluate any potential purchases as a whole, and make your decision based on overall pricing of the vehicle. Thankfully, the 800V EVs on sale now are generally ones we like. Now, 800V charging capability doesn't necessarily mean an EV has 800V vehicle architecture. For instance, the GMC Hummer EV and Chevy Silverado EV operate at 400V, but with their dual battery packs, can switch to 800V when charging by temporarily connecting those packs in series. Currently, there are only a handful of EVs available with 800V charging. But if you are going to find yourself taking longer trips in your EV and using DC fast chargers more often, you might want to consider choosing one with this faster charging capability. With that in mind, these are the EVs available with 800V charging, either on sale now or coming in 2024. 800-volt EVs available in 2024 Audi E-Tron GT Chevrolet Silverado EV Genesis GV60 Genesis Electrified G80 Genesis Electrified GV70 GMC Hummer EV Pickup GMC Hummer EV SUV GMC Sierra EV* Hyundai Ioniq 5 Hyundai Ioniq 6 Kia EV6 Kia EV9 Lotus Eletre* Lotus Emeya* Lucid Air Lucid Gravity* Porsche Macan Electric* Porsche Taycan Ram 1500 REV* Tesla Cybertruck *Coming later in 2024 Green Audi Chevrolet Genesis GMC Hyundai Kia Lotus Porsche Tesla Electric Lucid EV charging
Race Recap: Rolex 24 at Daytona was fast and feisty
Mon, Jan 26 2015Let the record show that victory at the 2015 Rolex 24 at Daytona went to the No. 02 Chip Ganassi Racing with Felix Sabates Target/Ford EcoBoost Riley DP driven by Verizon IndyCar drivers Scott Dixon and Tony Kanaan and NASCAR drivers Jamie McMurray and Kyle Larson. The winner did 740 laps to cover 2,634.3 miles in 24 hours and 57.667 seconds. That's a statement to this year's pace in spite of 18 cautions, two more than last year: the Michael Shank Racing Ligier got pole with a time of 1:39.194, slower than last year's pole time of 1:38.270; however, the winning car last year only did 695 laps. The fight for top honors was shaved to a four-car battle over the first third of the event. The No. 02 Ganassi car took the lead on the first lap, swapping it well into the night with the No. 01 Ganassi car, the No. 10 Wayne Taylor Racing Corvette DP, and the defending champion No. 5 Action Express Corvette DP, all of them staying within about 20 seconds of one another. The Action Express car had a fuel connector come loose and lost three laps getting towed back to the pits to have it reattached, but was back in the lead 18 hours in. The No. 01 Ganassi car dropped out with recurring clutch problems 22 hours in, retiring not long after. A race-within-the-race is where the concluding action happened, a seven minute, 30-second dash from the end of the last caution to the checkered flag. During the penultimate pit stops with an hour to go, Dixon was in second place followed Jordan Taylor in the Wayne Taylor Racing DP into the pits but beat him out, taking the lead. The Action Express car was in third. In the last pit stops of the race, Dixon gained even more time, getting a four-second advantage over Taylor. Then a full-course caution came out twenty minutes before the finish when a Prototype Challenge car hit the wall and caught fire, bunching up the field. That closed the pits, but the Wayne Taylor Racing car had to pit during that yellow because of a miscalculation of driver time. No driver can be behind the wheel for more than four hours in a six-hour period but Jordan Taylor was going to go over, so he came in to swap out for brother Ricky. That cost the team any chance of second place, since they took an additional drive-through penalty for entering closed pits. When the track went green again, Sebastien Bourdais in the Action Express car stayed all over Dixon for the final five laps but couldn't get around him.
A hybrid and electric Corvette, plus we drive the Ioniq 5 | Autoblog Podcast #728
Fri, May 6 2022In this episode of the Autoblog Podcast, Editor-in-Chief Greg Migliore is joined by Road Test Editor Zac Palmer. Zac drove the electric 2022 Hyundai Ioniq 5, and Greg drove the fire-breathing 2022 Maserati Levante Trofeo. The two dive deep into the relatively heavy news week by starting off with a discussion about the upcoming hybrid Corvette before chatting about what the electric Corvette might be like. They have a chat about the possibility of Porsche and Audi officially joining the Formula 1 field. Then, Greg and Zac get into some quick-hitting news to round out the segment by dissecting the updated Kia Soul (now without a turbo), the 30th Anniversary Edition Land Rover Defender and the new CEO at Aston Martin. Following the news and drive reviews, they rope in Senior Editor, Green John Beltz Snyder to give them a quick download of what went down at the first drive for the 2022 Ford F-150 Lightning. Finally, they reach into the mailbag and answer some questions from someone who is less than pleased about infotainment systems in some new cars. And lastly, the gang hears back from someone they helped out in a prior Spend My Money segment on the podcast. Send us your questions for the Mailbag and Spend My Money at: Podcast@Autoblog.com.
