ALL SERIOUS OFFERS CONSIDERED -- Pre-Buy Inspection Welcomed

A REAL HEAD TURNER with exceptionally LOW MILEAGE (11895 miles) -- 2004 Chevrolet SSR LS -- a retro-styled, boulevard-cruiser, folding-hardtop convertible, hot rod pickup.

Produced in low numbers, SSRs are already COLLECTIBLE (just over 24,000 total in only four years -- 2003, 2004, 2005 and 2006). While the world wasn't quite ready for this high-performance muscle machine almost a decade ago, collectors have since realized the investment potential in this limited production Super Sport Roadster and they are difficult to find. This is a rare chance to own one of this century's premiere collectible vehicles -- be prepared to act fast if you want a chance at this one.

This SSR was special ordered loaded with options (including the rare Towing Package & Locking Hitch with Keys). Kept under cover in a climate-controlled garage -- she has not been in rain, sleet or snow. Non-smoker adult-owned and driven, she is in extremely nice, near-new showroom condition -- with no leaks, squeaks or rattles, her mechanicals are sound and solid -- the exterior has no dents, dings, nicks, scrapes or scratches -- the interior has no rips, tears, discoloration or signs of wear -- absolutely NO DISAPPOINTMENTS.

General Motors MSRP was over $45K (Original window sticker included). She has Heated Leather Seats, a Premium Bose 6-CD AM/FM Sound System with Steering Wheel Controls, Traction Control, Rear Wheel Drive, Locking Rear 3.73 Gear Differential, Trailer Hitch Receiver, Running Boards, 19" Front Tires with 20" Rear Tires (Super-Wide, Performance Rated, Run-Flat Goodyear Eagles), Aluminum Wheels, Performance Suspension, 4-Wheel ABS, 4-Wheel Disc Brakes, Convertible Hardtop, Fog Lamps, Heated Mirrors, Power Driver Mirror, Power Passenger Mirror, Heated Exterior Driver Mirror, Heated Exterior Passenger Mirror, Privacy Glass, Power Driver Seat, Power Passenger Seat, Leather Seats, Bucket Seats with "Corvette Waterfall Design", Driver Lumbar, Front Floor Mats, Steering Wheel Audio Controls, Leather Wrapped Steering Wheel, Vehicle Anti-Theft System, Keyless Entry for Doors and Rear Compartment, Power Door Locks, A/C, Rear Defrost, CD Player, Front Reading Lamps, Driver Air Bag, Passenger Air Bag, Side Air Bag, Optional Carpeted Rear Cargo Bed Area with Wood Strips, Tie-Downs, Rail and Net, Towing Package & Locking Hitch with Keys.

At my senior age, I just can't keep up with her. I'll miss her, but I have some great memories of her time with me.

General Motors Recall List

Wed, Oct 22 2014

It seems General Motors can't go more than a few weeks without issuing a major recall. Since the initial ignition lock recall on February 10, over 25 million vehicles have been recalled for defects. It seems General Motors can't go more than a few weeks without issuing a major recall. Since the initial ignition lock recall on February 10, over 25 million vehicles have been recalled for defects. We used the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration recall list to compile a snapshot of all the GM vehicles recalled in the last two months. NHTSA also provides a search engine that allows owners to search for recalls on their vehicle. An automotive company must do everything in their power to notify its customers when a recall is issued on a vehicle. If you own any of the following vehicles and you have questions regarding your car, you can contact Chevrolet at 1-866-694-6546, GMC at 1-866-996-9463, Buick at 1-800-521-7300 and Cadillac at 1-866-982-2339. Or check out General Motor's recall site. Owners may also contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153) or go to www.safercar.gov. Here's a brief summery of the other vehicles currently under recall: July 26 – 414,333 cars affected NHTSA Campaign Number: 14V447000 Models under recall: Certain model year 2011-2012 Buick LaCrosse, Regal and Chevrolet Camaro, as well as certain 2010-2012 Cadillac SRX, Chevrolet Equinox and GMC Terrain vehicles, equipped with power height adjustable driver and passenger seats. Problem: In the affected vehicles, the bolt that secures the driver's and passenger's power front seat height adjuster may fall out causing the seat to drop suddenly to the lowest vertical position. Consequence: If the driver's seat unexpectedly drops, the distraction and altered seat position may affect the drivers' control of the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash. Solution: Dealers will replace the height adjuster shoulder bolts, free of charge. July 14 – 16,939 cars affected NHTSA Campaign Number: 14V341000 Models under recall: Certain model year 2011 Cadillac CTS vehicles manufactured October 18, 2010, to June 2, 2011. Problem: In the affected vehicles, vibrations from the drive shaft may cause the vehicle's roll over sensor to command the roof rail air bags to deploy. Consequence: If the roof rail air bags deploy unexpectedly, there is an increased risk of crash and injury to the occupants.

Best and Worst GM Cars

Thu, Apr 7 2022

Oh yes, because we just love receiving angry letters from devoted Pontiac Grand Am enthusiasts, we have decided to go there. Based on a heated group Slack conversation, the topic came up about the best and worst GM cars. First of all time, and then those currently on sale, and then just mostly a rambling discussion of Oldsmobiles our parents and grandparents owned (or engineered). Eventually, three of us made the video above. Like it? Maybe we can make more. Many awesome GM cars are definitely going unmentioned here, so please let us know your bests and worsts in the comments below. Mostly, it's important to note that this post largely exists as a vehicle for delivering the above video that dives far deeper into GM's greatest hits and biggest flops, specifically those from the 1980s and 1990s. What you'll find below is a collection of our editors identifying a best current and best-of-all-time choice, plus a worst current and worst-of-all-time choice. Comprehensive it is not, but again, comments. -Senior Editor James Riswick Best Current GM Vehicle Chevrolet Corvette We were flying by the seats of our pants a bit in this first outing and my notes were similarly extemporaneous. When it came time to tie it all together on camera, I failed spectacularly. Thank the maker for text, because this gives me the opportunity to perhaps slightly better explain my convoluted reasoning. I chose the C8 Corvette because it's simply overwhelmingly good, and it's merely the baseline from which this generation of Corvette will be expanded.  While the Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing (more on that in a minute) is an amazing snapshot of GM's current performance standing and its little sibling so enraptured me that I went out and bought one, their existence is fleeting. Corvette will live on; forced-induction Cadillac sport sedans, not so much. So while all three are amazing machines when viewed in a vacuum, the Corvette stands above them as both a reflection of GM's current performance credentials and a signpost of what is to come. So, given the choice between the C8 and the 5V-Blackwing right now, I'd choose the C8. In 10 years, when the Blackwing is no longer in production and Corvette is in its 9th generation? Well, that might be a different story. Now, just pretend I said something even remotely that coherent when we get to the part of the video where I try to make an argument for the 5-V Blackwing as best GM car I've ever driven. Or just laugh at me while I ramble incoherently.
