This SSR is like new and I mean NEW. This baby has NEVER been in the rain or snow. Still has original plastic on floor mats. Owner installed supercharger when purchased new. Why would older guy put that on it? Because it sounds way cool and runs faster. Its not at all noisy it just has that no air cleaner kind of a sound. I have all the original stuff also but wouldn't know why you would take it off. If you don't want supercharger I will put all original stuff back on it and keep the supercharger. Selling with original tires and wheels but if you want the custom wheels it shows with on it they are negotiable for additional dollars. Also has brand new 20" front and 22" wheels and tires on rear. This baby looks good and runs good. I started a car collection but my wife says we are moving to NYC to be near both kids and don't need a collection there. I have a perfect Ebay score and have bought and sold many cars over 100,000 so don't waste time trying to rip me off or low balling me because I am not broke. I have clear title. Vehicle is in Kansas City which is in middle of U.S. Approximately 1,000 miles to either coast.You will be responsible for payment of transport but I will help any way I can. Has the cool stuff in truck bed also. Carpet and wood looking bars. Of all my collection this is my favorite one to drive. Sweet Sweet ride. Everything on car works perfect as it should with such incredibly low miles. |

Vert-A-Pac train cars kept your Chevy Vega's price in check
Fri, 01 Mar 2013Our apologies to those who've seen this before, but for the rest of the class, how awesome are these pictures of the Vert-A-Pac shipping system General Motors came up with to ship the Chevrolet Vega back in the 1970s? Developed along with Southern Pacific Railroad, GM was able to double the amount of Vega models it could ship by packing them into the unique storage cars vertically.
At the time, rail cars could fit 15 vehicles each, but Chevrolet was able to lower shipping costs by making it possible to ship 30 Vegas per rail car, in turn allowing the price of the Vega to remain as low as possible. Each rail car had 30 doors that would fold down so that a Vega could be strapped on, and then a forklift would come along and lift the door into place. All the cars were positioned nose down, and since they were shipped with all of their required fluids, certain aspects had to be designed specifically for this type of shipping, including an oil baffle in the engine, a special battery and even a repositioned windshield washer reservoir. 2014 Chevy Silverado High Country spied wearing trappings of new luxury trim
Wed, 03 Apr 2013Spy photographers have spotted the new Chevrolet Silverado High Country and GMC Sierra Denali out on public streets for a little testing. From the looks of things, the Silverado will receive a much-differentiated front fascia along with special badges and those honking 20-inch chrome wheels. Expect to find a more posh interior as well. Likewise, the Sierra Denali will wear a tweaked nose with the familiar Denali bling. The one of the GMC trucks spotted here rolls on 21-inch gunmetal wheels instead of the 20-inch chrome pieces of the High Country.
Word has it both trucks will go on sale after the Texas State Fair this summer. While General Motors hasn't said for certain what we can expect to find under the hood, we'd be surprised to see anything outside of the range of engines found in the standard Silverado and Sierra models. That means buyers should be able to get their hands on the efficient, 23-miles per gallon 5.3-liter V8.
Automakers score 8 out of top 20 most-watched ads on YouTube [w/videos]
Fri, 14 Dec 2012Who would have ever thought there'd be a day where people are able to skip television commercials only to go to websites to watch them later? Such is the joy of a DVR and YouTube. AdWeek tabulated the 20 most-watched ads on YouTube, and found that nine were car-related including eight coming from automakers.
Volkswagen continued its Star Wars theme with two ads in the top 20, including the highest-ranking car commercial The Bark Side spot at number three with almost 18 million views, which doesn't even have a single car in it. Some of our favorites are from Chrysler with Clint Eastwood in It's Halftime in America and House Arrest with Charlie Sheen for the Fiat 500 Abarth. Chevrolet, Honda, Audi and Toyota were the other automakers in the top 20, but we'd be remiss if we didn't at least mention one of the coolest ads on the list, the Hot Wheels corkscrew jump.
Of all the car videos, only the Fiat ad wasn't played during a Super Bowl. Check out all eight videos - in order - after the jump. Nike took the top spot with its My Time is Now ad that has been seen online more than 20 million times with Pepsi's Uncle Drew posted up in the runner-up; some of the other videos include four Old Spice commercials and an ad in which Snoop Dogg is pedaling Hot Pockets.
