Rare Low Miles, Excellent Cond! 1994 S-10 Blazer 4x4, 4-door Power Everything! on 2040-cars
Orem, Utah, United States
RARE to find a Chevy S-10 Blazer Tahoe Edition 4x4 - Low Low miles!! Only 78K - The nicest S-10 Blazer anywhere. One of my favorite things about it, is NO ONE else has this an S-10 Blazer that is this nice anymore.
It was purchased and driven by an 85 year old man to the golf course and back for about 17 years. I've had it for two years and am only the 2nd owner! He garaged it for the majority of it's life, and original paint is in great condition for year. I got it with 65,000 original miles, and have commuted back and forth from Lehi to Spanish fork and put 13,000 miles on it. Runs fantastic and is super tight. Plenty of power with the Vortec 4.3 V6. Everything in it is original, works, and was top of the line for 1994. With the few additions, it is now the perfect blend of Classic & Modern, being the last year they made the original S-10 Body Style, but has all the power options, and Bluetooth Stereo that sounds amazing! Features: - 4 Doors - Automatic - 4x4 - 4.3 Vortec V6 (16-20 MPG) - Original Upholstery shows little to no wear. (Cleans up to showroom condition!) - Power Mirrors - Power Windows and Locks - Keyless Entry (Aftermarket) - Sony Bluetooth/Sirius Radio CD Player (Installed by Pro Audio earlier this year) - Pioneer 10" Subwoofer - Amplifier - Custom Alloy Wheels / Falken Tires - Extra Set of custom wheels if preferred. - Brand New Uniroyal Spare Mechanical Maintenance Things I've had replaced in the last year: - Alternator - Fuel Pump - Heater Core - New Brakes all around (Calipers, Rotors, the whole nine yards) Needs: - AC Recharge or AC System Conversion to R134 (Still has old R12 system); Heater works awesome. AC just doesn't blow cold. - Could use new rear window shocks. The ones it has are original and work fine, they just wont hold the glass up by themselves anymore. |

Stolen '57 Chevy Returned To Owner After 30 Years
Fri, Feb 21 2014Three decades after it was stolen, a 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air has been returned to a Northern California man - in better shape than when he originally owned it. The Santa Rosa Press Democrat reports Ian "Skip" Wilson was shocked to get a call from the California Highway Patrol informing him that his long-lost Chevy was taken off an Australia-bound cargo ship. The 65-year-old says the car has had a lot of work done on it since it disappeared from his Lake County home in 1984. It was returned with a monogrammed interior, 17-inch racing wheels, rack-and-pinion steering and a 350-horsepower V-8 engine. The retired mechanic says the two-door was in sorry shape when he bought it for $375 in 1975 with plans for fixing it up. Bring back the Bronco! Trademarks we hope are actually (someday) future car names
Tue, Mar 17 2015Trademark filings are the tea leaves of the auto industry. Read them carefully – and interpret them correctly – and you might be previewing an automaker's future product plans. Yes, they're routinely filed to maintain the rights to an iconic name. And sometimes they're only for toys and clothing. But not always. Sometimes, the truth is right in front of us. The trademark is required because a company actually wants to use the name on a new car. With that in mind, here's a list of intriguing trademark filings we want to see go from paperwork to production reality. Trademark: Bronco Company: Ford Previous Use: The Bronco was a long-running SUV that lived from 1966-1996. It's one of America's original SUVs and was responsible for the increased popularity of the segment. Still, it's best known as O.J. Simpson's would-be getaway car. We think: The Bronco was an icon. Everyone seems to want a Wrangler-fighter – Ford used to have a good one. Enough time has passed that the O.J. police chase isn't the immediate image conjured by the Bronco anymore. Even if we're doing a wish list in no particular order, the Bronco still finds its way to the top. For now (unfortunately), it's just federal paperwork. Rumors on this one can get especially heated. The official word from a Ford spokesman is: "Companies renew trademark filings to maintain ownership and control of the mark, even if it is not currently used. Ford values the iconic Bronco name and history." Trademarks: Aviator, AV8R Company: Ford Previous Use: The Aviator was one of the shortest-run Lincolns ever, lasting for the 2003-2005 model years. It never found the sales success of the Ford Explorer, with which it shared a platform. We Think: The Aviator name no longer fits with Lincoln's naming nomenclature. Too bad, it's better than any other name Lincoln currently uses, save for its former big brother, the Navigator. Perhaps we're barking up the wrong tree, though. Ford has made several customized, aviation themed-Mustangs in the past, including one called the Mustang AV8R in 2008, which had cues from the US Air Force's F-22 Raptor fighter jet. It sold for $500,000 at auction, and the glass roof – which is reminiscent of a fighter jet cockpit – helped Ford popularize the feature. Trademark: EcoBeast Company: Ford Previous Use: None by major carmakers.
GM cutting Chevy Sonic, Buick Verano production by more than 20%
Sat, Jun 13 2015General Motors' Orion Assembly plant in Michigan is seeing even more production cuts this year to further reduce inventories of the Chevrolet Sonic and Buick Verano. These latest adjustments mean layoffs for about 100 workers in phases starting in July. "GM Orion Assembly will adjust plant production capacity to better align with market demand," the company said in a statement announcing the change. Through May, sales of the Sonic are down 28.5 percent to 29,082 vehicles, and the Verano is off 15.6 percent, with 15,279 sold this year. According to unnamed plant insiders speaking to Automotive News, the assembly rate is slowing at Orion Assembly from the current 33 cars an hour down to 26 an hour, a 21-percent reduction. GM is also reportedly going to keep the plant idle for three weeks during the normal summer shutdown, rather than the usual two. Earlier in the year, the factory was idled for two weeks due to excess supply of the Sonic and Verano. In March, it was closed again for several days for the same reason. The Orion Assembly plant is the future home to the line for the Chevy Bolt EV. GM Statement: GM Orion Assembly will adjust plant production capacity to better align with market demand. A phased layoff of approximately 100 employees will begin in July 2015 and conclude by year-end.
