2001 CHEVROLET S10 CREW CAB PICKUP,FULLY LOADED IN VERY GOOD CONDITION FOR AGE AND MILES, WE HAVE OWNED SAID VEHICLE FOR 4 YEARS AND HAVE ONLY PUT 20 K MILES ON IT DURING THAT TIME, IT HAS BEEN KEPT EITHER IN A GARAGE AND/OR CARPORT THE WHOLE TIME, TRANSMISSION WAS OVERHAULED B4 I PURCHASED @ 195K MILES,OUTSIDE OF OIL CHANGES, FULL SET OF GOODYEAR WRANGLER TIRES, BATTERY AND BRAKES THATS ALL THAT HAS BEEN DONE TO IT. THE S10 HAS A TRAILER HITCH FOR OUR 4X8 TRAILER FOR THE LAWN MOWER. EVERYTHING IS OPERATIONAL COLD AIR, AND HOT HEAT, AND PUSH BUTTON 4X4 WORKS EXCELLENT. I WOULDNT HESITATE DRIVING HER ANYWHERE, THE ONLY ISSUE IS THE DRIVERS WINDOW WORKS, BUT GOES UP SLOWER THAN THE OTHER 3 WINDOWS, BUT IT STILL WORKS, ITS JUST SLOWER. Chevy Chaparral 2X Vision Gran Turismo concept blends the past and the future
Wed, 19 Nov 2014The Chevrolet Chaparral 2X Vision Gran Turismo is the rare concept car that salutes a seminal moment in history, yet also borders on science fiction.
Revealed Wednesday at the Los Angeles Auto Show, the concept uses the name of one of Chevy's historic racing partnerships, with Chaparral Racing, which dates to the 1960s. Chaparrals raced successfully at a range of levels, including IndyCar, Trans-Am and SCCA competition.
But the history ends there, as the concept's main purpose is as a racecar in a downloadable update for the PlayStation 3 game Gran Turismo 6.
2014 Chevrolet Cruze TD fires up its new diesel motor
Thu, 07 Feb 2013Ever since General Motors confirmed plans to produce a diesel-powered Cruze back in 2011, we've been eagerly awaiting its arrival. And as part of the 2013 Chicago Auto Show, Chevrolet has pulled back the cover on its oil-burning compact sedan, set to go on sale in the near future with a starting price of $25,695, not including $810 for destination.
The heart and soul of the Cruze TD (that's its official name) is a 2.0-liter turbo-diesel inline four-cylinder engine rated at 148 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque, mated solely to a six-speed automatic transmission. The engine also has an overboost function that will increase torque to 280 lb-ft for up to ten seconds. The full brace of official specs haven't been released, but GM tells us that highway fuel economy will come in at 42 miles per gallon. If that number sounds familiar, it's because the Volkswagen Jetta TDI has the exact same rating. Unlike the Jetta, however, the Cruze TD can run on B20 biodiesel, where as the Volkswagen can only accept B5.
Model-specific changes to this 2014 Cruze TD include an aero kit and unique 17-inch alloy wheels. Inside, there's a full leather interior, and Chevrolet will provide two years of complimentary scheduled maintenance, not to mention a 100,000-mile powertrain warranty.

Fri, 08 Feb 2013There's only about a week left until we get our first look at the production version of the 2014 Chevrolet SS sedan, but Chevrolet NASCAR teams have been looking at the race version of the car all winter. Autoweek has posted a really neat time-lapse video showing just a portion of what it takes to build one of NASCAR's new Gen6 stock cars.
Though the video is quite brief, it does show almost the entire build process starting with just the car's nose, and it gives us a good look at how integral the template is to the final product. As a bonus, Hendrick Motorsports also provided some videos showing two of its teams performing pit stop tests over the winter. The second video shows some of the more detailed aspects of the racecar's rear end, including the stock-looking trunk cutout and a newly mandated rear bumper extension that will be used on super speedways like Daytona and Talladega.
