2002 Chevrolet S10 Xtreme Standard Cab Pickup 2-door 4.3l on 2040-cars

Year:2002 Mileage:20500

Las Vegas, Nevada, United States

Here's the pickup you wish you kept, in the condition you wished you kept it in. Not quite old enough to be a classic, but nicely on its way. An attractive red 2002 Chevy S10 Xtreme with classic good looks…totally stock and unmolested.

I bought this Xtreme from its original owner in La Grande, Oregon in 2009.  He sold because he had other projects that needed his attention.  When I purchased this vehicle it had only 369 miles on the odometer and had been stored indoors from new.  I had it trailered to California where I stored it indoors for the first year I owned it.  I then decided to drive it semi-regularly so it would not deteriorate.  Current odometer reading is approximately 20,500 miles.  No winter use, zero rust, zero salt or mag-chloride exposure. Totally original except for the SnugTop Tonneau cover, the battery, which I replaced with an AC Delco from a Chevy dealer and four new tires.  Original glass and paint. Non-smoker interior, with no stains or spills.  I have other vehicles, so this Chevy has been mostly ignored while the others get used daily. It's for sale because I'm retired now and my priorities have changed.  I’m down-sizing my life and preparing to travel the country in my RV.

When not in use, it's been stored in a windowless steel building.  No sun fade, no salt.

While it has been used as a truck for truck-errands in the summers, it was never abused. From new, it has a bed floor liner.  It has never towed anything. Original paint is great, not perfect, but great. Original windshield is excellent, no damage or pitting.  The underside is clean, dry and perfect; looks new. Oil has been changed often, chassis lube always completed with oil and filter.

I have the original Certificate of Origin, clear California title, window sticker, owner’s books, documents, brochures, plus most all maintenance history receipts.

These photos show the truck accurately (not real clever with a camera), and I didn't detail it to take the pictures.

You can drive this home without a single worry. If you want to come to preview and drive, we can make arrangements.

This auction has a reserve (please don't ask). I'm not interested in any trades, and we'll close this sale at my bank during business hours weekdays. I can arrange stateside shipping at your expense. I invite you to see this truck before you bid, but my description is accurate and correct. I'll ignore any queries that even hint of scam, but will answer any questions that you might have... please e-mail me thru this listing.

I'm not much interested in hearing what book values you looked up in Kelly or NADA. This is the lowest miles 2002 Chevy Xtreme I've seen listed on e-bay or anywhere else for that matter...It'll sell for way over any book value that you can find... besides it's Red with yellow stripes, it's an Xtreme, a ZQ8 with low miles, it has the stepside bed and its original.  No funky dual pipes, no ugly wheels, no modifications and no issues.  If you want a cheap truck, this isn't that truck... go bid one with 5X or 10X the miles.

My bank will determine that things are right before I ever release this vehicle and title.  Cashiers check, cash, or wire transfer subject to verification by my bank.  You will have to arrange for a temporary permit or license plates upon purchase... I plan to keep and reuse the personalized plates which will stay with me and not the vehicle. Contact your home state DMV for details.

Thanks for your time reading this...it's a great 2002 Xtreme. If it doesn't sell, it's ok, I'll keep it and drive it again next summer.

Sunday Drive: Trucks and SUVs of all shapes and sizes

Sun, Nov 5 2017

The American automotive marketplace is dominated by trucks and SUVs, and so was the last week of coverage on Autoblog. By far, the most popular story of the week was our First Drive of the 2018 Lincoln Navigator. It may look like an old-school lumberer, but in reality Lincoln's flagship is a thoroughly modern, turbocharged-V6-powered, three-row, luxury people mover. The Jeep Wrangler is the world's most recognizable vehicle. So it's no surprise that the next version looks a whole heck of a lot like the last one, and the one before. It's all in the details, which is why we were so excited when Jeep decided to unleash a trio of images showing both two- and four-door Wranglers for us to dissect ahead of the SUV's official debut at the L.A. Auto Show later this year. Past that, spy photos of the next Chevy Silverado and Ram 1500 were predictably popular. See both of those below, and the cap it all off, check out the entire week's worth of SEMA coverage – including the bonkers Hennessey VelociRaptor 6x6 – in our mega image gallery at the bottom of this post. Enjoy! As always, tune in to Autoblog next week for a front-row seat to all the happenings worth following in the automotive industry. 2018 Lincoln Navigator First Drive | From black sheep to flagship 2018 Jeep Wrangler revealed: First photos released before L.A. Sunday Drive: Taking a gaze into the automotive crystal ball

Sun, Oct 22 2017

Mankind has long been fascinated by the future. So it makes sense that this past week's top stories were all about cars, trucks, and SUVs that won't be hitting the market until the 2019 model year. And right at the top of the list is the Ram 1500. We've come to know Ram as the truck maker that styles its pickups with cues cribbed from big rigs, but that look has slowly evolved over time into something uniquely its own. The next Ram 1500 continues this trend, with a newly refined look that we can't wait to see in person. Up next is the 2019 Chevy Silverado. Pickup trucks have been, continue to be, and will remain the best-selling vehicles in America. And General Motors is a leader in the field, with two distinct offerings with which to entice buyers, one from the bread-and-butter Chevrolet brand and one wearing the slightly more upscale GMC badge. The Chevy looks to get LED lighting elements for 2019, which ought to keep the truck from looking dated when compared to the Ford F-150 and the previously mentioned Ram 1500. From there we move past pickup trucks and into SUVs and sedans. The 2019 Jeep Cherokee looks to get toned down a bit with its next refresh, and the '19 BMW 3 Series continues its slow evolutionary journey at the top of its aspirational sales pedestal. Finally, spy shots give way to official production reveals for the 2019 Audi A7 and Polestar 1. This pair of European luxury cars won't compete with one another – one is a rakish hatchback and the other a sports coupe – any further than for the eyeballs of our readers, but both proved popular enough to merit inclusion in our weekly roundup. Best and Worst GM Cars

Thu, Apr 7 2022

Oh yes, because we just love receiving angry letters from devoted Pontiac Grand Am enthusiasts, we have decided to go there. Based on a heated group Slack conversation, the topic came up about the best and worst GM cars. First of all time, and then those currently on sale, and then just mostly a rambling discussion of Oldsmobiles our parents and grandparents owned (or engineered). Eventually, three of us made the video above. Like it? Maybe we can make more. Many awesome GM cars are definitely going unmentioned here, so please let us know your bests and worsts in the comments below. Mostly, it's important to note that this post largely exists as a vehicle for delivering the above video that dives far deeper into GM's greatest hits and biggest flops, specifically those from the 1980s and 1990s. What you'll find below is a collection of our editors identifying a best current and best-of-all-time choice, plus a worst current and worst-of-all-time choice. Comprehensive it is not, but again, comments. -Senior Editor James Riswick Best Current GM Vehicle Chevrolet Corvette We were flying by the seats of our pants a bit in this first outing and my notes were similarly extemporaneous. When it came time to tie it all together on camera, I failed spectacularly. Thank the maker for text, because this gives me the opportunity to perhaps slightly better explain my convoluted reasoning. I chose the C8 Corvette because it's simply overwhelmingly good, and it's merely the baseline from which this generation of Corvette will be expanded.  While the Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing (more on that in a minute) is an amazing snapshot of GM's current performance standing and its little sibling so enraptured me that I went out and bought one, their existence is fleeting. Corvette will live on; forced-induction Cadillac sport sedans, not so much. So while all three are amazing machines when viewed in a vacuum, the Corvette stands above them as both a reflection of GM's current performance credentials and a signpost of what is to come. So, given the choice between the C8 and the 5V-Blackwing right now, I'd choose the C8. In 10 years, when the Blackwing is no longer in production and Corvette is in its 9th generation? Well, that might be a different story. Now, just pretend I said something even remotely that coherent when we get to the part of the video where I try to make an argument for the 5-V Blackwing as best GM car I've ever driven. Or just laugh at me while I ramble incoherently.
