1993 Chevy S-10 Low Rider Show Truck- Hydraulics, huge Audio System, suicide Doors on 2040-cars
Orlando, Florida, United States
We're selling an Ex-Show Truck loaded with expensive modifications with NO RESERVE. It runs and drives, but needs restoration. The hydraulics were recently gone through and all four dumps and solenoids were replaced. The hydraulics are Reds Hydraulics with eight switches. The truck also has full ground effects, L88 Fiberglass Hood, custom billet grill, rear bed topper with wing, Custom 17" Wheels, suicide doors, neon, custom seats, full gel-coated dashboard, custom speaker kick panels, gel-coated custom built wall for 6- 12" subs, four Pioneer Amps (don't know models), 6 Pioneer Pro-Series Subs, Miscellaneous Mids and Highs, 4 marine batteries (some of them need to be replaced). A previous owner put a massive amount of time and money into this truck. I bought it to restore, but only got as far as fixing the hydraulics (for $750) and now I need money more than I need the truck. The truck needs work on the paint and body, aftermarket electrical, door panels, etc and it should be looked at as a project even though it runs and drives. It could be driven as it's being restored. Thanks for looking!

GM to add 1,200 workers at 2 Michigan factories
Sat, Feb 29 2020DETROIT — General Motors is adding 1,200 jobs at two Michigan factories to build midsize SUVs and two new luxury sedans. GM said Friday that its Lansing Delta Township plant will get a third shift and 800 more workers to build the Chevrolet Traverse and Buick Enclave SUVs, which have three rows of seats. The Lansing Grand River plant will get a second shift and 400 more workers to build two new Cadillac sedans, the CT4 and CT5. Employees laid off at other GM factories will fill the new jobs first, then workers will be added, GM spokesman Dan Flores said. The company has not determined yet how many new people will be needed, he said. Both additional shifts will start working sometime between April and June, the company said. Lansing Delta Township now employs about 2,500 salaried and blue-collar workers, while the Grand River plant has 1,400. GM sold more than 147,000 Traverse SUVs in the U.S. last year, a 0.4% increase from 2018. Enclave sales were up 3% to just over 51,000, according to Autodata Corp. Related Video:
OnStar to offer 90-day driving assessment, possible insurance discount
Wed, Jan 7 2015General Motors has announced a brace of new features for OnStar, two of which could help you save money assuming you're willing to sign over some (more) personal details. The first is a driving assessment program in which OnStar takes note of certain driving parameters for 90 days, then provides the driver feedback on their driving, both individually and when compared to other drivers in the program, as well as driving tips. Think of it as OnStar's ICE version of the Nissan Leaf's CARWING feature that compares how efficient your electric driving is compared to other BEV drivers. In this case, though, certain drivers will have the chance to share their assessment with Progressive Insurance, and if the numbers are right they might get a "driving-based" discount from the insurance company. The assessment program is voluntary, and requires opting in. It will be available this summer on all new GM cars and some GM vehicles back to 2013. In case this sounds like Big Brother, let's not forget that Big Brother is already here and moved in so long ago that he's a member of the Kiwanis club and is hosting neighborhood block parties. Progressive already has a million enrollees in a program called Snapshot that tracks OBD II data to offer usage-based insurance to provide annual pricing based on how much you drive your car, with discounts of up to 30 percent. The OnStar effort is just another way to do that. The second feature is proximity offers through AtYourService, which notifies drivers to deals and information on their driving route and provides coupons from RetailMeNot and Entertainment Book. Beyond that, a deal with Priceline will let OnStar agents book hotels for you starting this year, there's a tie-in with Dunkin' Donuts, too, but we're fuzzy on those benefits, and third new feature lets Chevrolet owners know when certain parts need replacing.
