This truck hasn"t been driven for 11 yrs..It has been in my shop all that time..I pulled it in an replaced left front fender and started sanding it..Was gonna squirt it all back white..I have had a bunch of set backs, health issues, etc..Now i want to get it out of my way, cause i work and have Harleys..I also am working on a 55 ford step side, so i need the room..I put some fresh gas in it and it fired right up..Had to shut it off cause about 3 different gas lines got hard an cracked..Replaced them, changed the oil and now runs like a charm..This truck had a fifth wheel when i got it, but sold it..I never had the truck long before i parked it...It has a 454 engine, with headers and a 4 barrel holley carb. Has a 2 sp axle for better milage..It has a WND wind shield, chrome wheels an duels...I will throw in an 80 chev.pickup also with a 454 and 400 tranny..Body is bad on this ole blue truck, but engine, tranny, radiator,etc..Are worth a few bucks..Some of this stuff is getting hard to find...I don"t have time for it any more..I need the room is why selling both so cheap..Thanks for reading..My # is 573 216 0267--Bill---ps--U can see the ole blue one in one of these pics..The one pic with black fender is where i started sanding...That"s why it has sat in my shop for so long..Did not want it in the elements..Also no mileage has been added all them yrs. Also the trim and mirrors, running board...I have an boxed up..Also a chrome spare tire..Most of trim on passenger side is still on..

GM to idle car production at five factories as Americans continue CUV love affair
Mon, Dec 19 2016In case you needed another reminder that Americans have fallen out of love with sedans, General Motors today announced plans to idle five factories in January in a bid to cut its inventory to 70 days. Detroit-Hamtramck Assembly ( Buick LaCrosse, Cadillac CT6, Chevrolet Volt and Impala) and Fairfax Assembly in Kansas ( Chevy Malibu) will stop production for three weeks. Lansing Grand River ( Cadillac ATS and CTS, and Chevy Camaro) is going down for two weeks, while Lordstown, OH ( Chevy Cruze) and Bowling Green, KY ( Chevy Corvette) will go idle for a week each, Automotive News reports. GM's shutdown reflects a broader problem with the company's supply – at 847,000 vehicles, the company's supply increased unsteadily from a low of 629,000 units in January of 2016. That's more than a 25 percent increase in the past year. Citing information from Autodata, The Detroit News reports that at the end of November, GM had a 168-day supply of LaCrosses, 177 days' worth of Camaro, 170 days of Corvette, 121 days for Cruze, 119 days for ATS, 132 days for CTS, and 110 days of CT6. Meanwhile, inventory of the company's more popular vehicles is actually below the professionally accepted 60- to 70-day supply, The News reports. The Trax, Colorado pickup, and GM's full-size SUVs are sitting below 50 days and experiencing year-over-year sales increases. GM needs a rethink of its inventory levels, which is something that's apparently coming. "We're going to be responsible in managing our inventory levels," GM spokesman Jim Cain told The News. Another unnamed spokesman told Automotive News the company's day-to-day supplies would "fluctuate before moderating at year-end." But at least one analyst thinks this won't be the last time Detroit needs to stop production to level things out. "Incentives are elevated, residuals are declining, and rates are rising," Brian Johnson, an analyst with Barclays, told The News. "And while GM in particular may benefit in the months ahead from new product launches, it's important to recognize that GM's inventory is elevated at the moment, and it wouldn't surprise us if they need to announce another production cut – which could pressure the stock." Helicopter crashes on Top Gear Korea set while chasing Corvette ZR1
Mon, 11 Feb 2013The formula of Top Gear Korea is seemingly about the same as it is everywhere else in the world, including the flagship British original: involve interesting cars in fantastical situations with charismatic hosts. That prescription has proved to be pretty reliable over the years, and has lead to some truly memorable and exciting pieces of television.
Something like that was undoubtedly what the Korean producers were after when they lined up this segment - a drag race between a Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 and an AH1 Cobra military helicopter. The planners almost certainly did not expect the filming of the segment to go quite as wrong as it actually did, with the helicopter actually crashing into the dirt after the "drag race" had been completed. Thankfully, we're told that no one was seriously injured in the crash, but the footage, in the video below, is pretty damn chilling to watch, nevertheless.
