Thanks for Looking at my 1957 Chevrolet 3100 pickup

I have owned the truck for the last 24 months and have invested heavily in parts, modification and sweat.

Before I bought the truck someone put a 350 V8 in it and refreshed the bed wood.

Since I have had it:

·         Re built 350 with Chrome kit, new carb, inlet mfld, alternator, Aluminum Radiator and Electric fan

·         Tubular headers with 3” pipes to the rear quarters, over the axle

·         Reconditioned 700R4 transmission (still with 2 years warranty on it) with lock up kit

·         Hidden shift lever

·         100% rewire

·         New fuel tank and sender

·         New rear and front shocks & springs (lowered 5 inches in rear, 2 inches in front, All new hangers)

·         New dropped (3 inches) front axle (new Kingpins)

·         Reconditioned steering box

·         Camaro disc brakes up front, new master cylinder and 100% new brake pipes

·         100% new brake drums, shoes, wheel cylinders and assembly on rear axle

·         Rear axle (12 bolt) 100% recon'd (new axles, new 3.42 gears, tubes removed, relocated straight and welded solid)

·         Drive shaft 100% high speed balanced with new UJ's front and back

·         New chromed smoothie wheels and tires

·         New stereo

·         Re-upholstered seat and carpeted

·         3x new lap belts

·         Re located battery

·         New chrome bumpers front and back

·         New door hinges, locks, window regulators

·         All new gauges, functioning in original cluster (one extra engine water temp added for absolute comfort)

·         Matt Green Paint

·         New glass rubbers front and back

·         Everything works, wipers, turn signals, brake lights, head lights, running lights, horn, windows, including the vent windows. Its water tight too.

·         Run on standard license plates (not Antique vehicle) so legal to use as daily driver

·         Everything has been done with the aim of this being as reliable as possible.

·         Receipts for everything I have bought and fitted and also 3rd party work on the transmission will be included.

·         I have extensive pictures of the refurb of the entire truck that I can send or down load for the new owner.

·         Title all correct and in my name currently.

What it needs…….. FUEL!! First tank will be complementary.

Send me a message if I have missed anything.

Sinkhole Opens Up In National Corvette Museum, Swallows Eight Cars

Wed, Feb 12 2014

More cars are being moved inside the National Corvette Museum in Bowling Green, Ky. to avoid falling down the same sinkhole that swallowed eight classic sports cars early this morning, Autoblog reported. Museum officials said the hole was discovered when motion sensors activated around 5:45 a.m. The rescue mission can be viewed on the museum's live feed cameras, which weren't working after the sinkhole emerged. A 1993 ZR-1 Spyder and a 2009 ZR1 "Blue Devil," both on loan from General Motors, were among the cars that fell into the sinkhole. The museum owned the other affected Corvettes, which included a 1963 Corvette, a 1984 PPG Pace Car and the 1 millionth Corvette ever produced. The state of the cars at the bottom of the hole isn't known, but trial lawyer and sinkhole expert Ted Corless said the cars may be a total loss for the museum and GM. "Most states, including Kentucky, exclude damage caused by sinkhole activity," he said. "There will be, in all likelihood, a claim made, but a lot of policies would specifically exclude these kinds of damages." Corless has 15 years experience dealing with sinkholes. He said that typically neither the building, nor the cars themselves are protected under their insurance policies. "I would have to say, more likely then not, they're going to have an uninsured loss measured in the hundreds of thousands of dollars." The museum is closed Wednesday while a structural engineer assesses the damage. GMC Hummer EV SUV first drive, RIP Camaro, Ferrari Roma Spider | Autoblog Podcast # 773

Fri, Mar 24 2023

In this episode of the Autoblog Podcast, Editor-in-Chief Greg Migliore is joined by News Editor Joel Stocksdale. They start off with one of the week's biggest official news items — the impending death of the sixth-gen Chevrolet Camaro. On the subject of powerful American cars, they pivot to a teaser from Stellantis execs that there are big things ahead for its Dodge Charger SRT Daytona Banshee concept. From there, they look at Ferrari's new topless Roma and then get into Ford's multi-billion-dollar electric vehicle pivot. Speaking of expensive EVs, Joel just got back from driving the new GMC Hummer SUV. He also had the new F-150 Lightning Pro in his driveway, and that's followed by Greg's update on Autoblog's long-term Toyota Sienna.  Autoblog Podcast # 773 Get The Podcast Apple Podcasts – Subscribe to the Autoblog Podcast in iTunes Spotify – Subscribe to the Autoblog Podcast on Spotify RSS – Add the Autoblog Podcast feed to your RSS aggregator MP3 – Download the MP3 directly Rundown News Chevrolet Camaro production will officially end after 2024 model year Dodge CEO teases more to come from Charger SRT Daytona Banshee Ferrari Roma Spider returns a front-engined soft top to the lineup Ford Model e losing billions as it says EV unit should be seen as startup What we're driving Ford F-150 Lightning Pro 2024 GMC Hummer EV SUV 2023 Toyota Sienna Platinum AWD Feedback Email – Podcast@Autoblog.com Review the show on Apple Podcasts Autoblog is now live on your smart speakers and voice assistants with the audio Autoblog Daily Digest. C7 Corvette turbo with 1,000 horsepower promised from Hennessey

Mon, 25 Feb 2013

If you can't wait for the next-generation Chevrolet Corvette ZR1, Hennessey says they will have you covered. The Texas-based company has announced it will offer a spate of upgrades for the 2014 Corvette ranging from a range of bolt-on options all the way up to a 1,000-horsepower, twin-turbo system. Buyers can start with a cold air intake, cat-back exhaust or stainless steel long-tube headers, but Hennessey says it will also offer up three stages of forced induction mayhem should those bits and baubles not provide enough thrust.
Those choices start with a supercharger system good for up to 700 hp, though Hennessey will gladly ditch the blower in favor of two turbos. Doing so will spin the crank to the tune of 800 horsepower all the way up to a certifiably ludicrous 1,000 ponies. There's no word on how much these tricks will cost you - or when they will be available, as we're guessing they haven't gotten their hands on the car yet - but you can head over to the Hennessey site to drop them a line if you're curious.
