Chevy Pickup / Rat Rod / Hot Rod / Project Truck
This is a 1946 Chevy Pickup.
Currently a rolling chassis and in need of full restoration. Odometer says 40,000 miles. Truck is mostly complete and has no rust through in the floor pan that we can find, but has two small bullet holes, or any other rust through for that matter, except for some around the windshield frame, but we have repaired far worse than present there. The trans shifts and clutch works. The condition of the engine has not been verified and does not run and is likely siezed. This would
make a great Rat Rod, hot rod, or original restoration. Purchase this project and do all
or some of the work yourself. We offer full restoration and customization
services and are a dealer for most required parts for 1941 and newer trucks and cars. We can do as little or as much of the work as you desire after purchase. We can do
any conversions or customizations you want to include but not limited to; mustang II front
ends, full frame conversion, power steering conversions, engine swaps, or a complete frame off build to your specifications. This a very cool truck finished and is in high demand right now. You can very seldom find these trucks in the 41-46 era this complete or not totally rusted out, so this truck is a real gem. We have limited shop space that is carefully planned and all shop openings are given on a first come first serve basis, with the exception of repeat customers, so be sure to ask for shop space at the auction end so that we may coordinate with you. This truck is a good start to rewarding vehicle in high demand, and we do many, many, of these both in chevy and ford models and are very fun to drive and take to car shows, not to mention, a great investment and portfolio diversification product. Every savvy investor has classic vehicles in their portfolio and its never too late to start. Go to our website, yesteryearauto.com to see other vehicles for restoration and finished products. This truck comes with a CLEAR TITLE, and a Bill of sale, plus build pictures to add to you build book if we do some work for you, (or complete build book if we do the complete build). Delivery is available through our sister trucking company or arrange for your own delivery with your transportation company, or google auto transport companies and they will all be happy to give you a bid. We can help with loading for your carrier, however, we will not do the work for the company you hire unless paid to do so, so be sure to hire a good company transport that has experience in disabled vehicles and has a winch. In person inspections can be made with prior arrangements just email us to prearrange a time. Ask as many questions as you need, will be happy to answer what we can, however, please keep in mind that we get thousands of emails each and every day and we answer them as quickly as possible, so please be patient. So, how do you actually pronounce that automaker's name?
Thu, Jan 21 2016You probably have that friend who always says Porsche wrong, or maybe it's someone who keeps reminding you it's actually two syllables. Whichever side of the pronunciation debate you fall on, you'll find someone to root for in the video above. And before you ask, this was all the video team's idea. So don't get mad at me for being the voice of reason. BMW Chevrolet Hyundai Nissan Rolls-Royce Videos Original Video nissan qashqai

Experimental mid-engine XP-819 Corvette going up for auction
Sun, 17 Feb 2013It seems to be commonplace that when a new Corvette is in development, rumors swirl about a possible mid-engine layout. As is the case of Chevy's most recent C7 Corvette, these rumors never pan out.
In any case, the idea for a 'Vette with an engine mounted behind the driver can probably all be traced back to a single car, the 1964 XP-819 prototype. Built as an "engineering exercise" back in 1964, the prototype was designed with a rear-mounted engine. History tells us that the idea of a rear-engine Corvette fizzled, and the XP-819 was eventually cut up into pieces and stored at a shop in Daytona Beach, FL.
After sitting for untold years, a restoration project started on the car, and while it isn't yet fully completed, the current owner of the car, Mid America Motorworks, will have the car on display at the 2013 Amelia Island Concours d'Elegance as a "driveable chassis" with hopes of having a fully completed car ready to bring to next year's show.
