1957 Chevy Truck Short Bed Big Window Hot Rod!! on 2040-cars
Thousand Oaks, California, United States
1957 Chevrolet 3100 shortbed big window
Built in Oakland Ca. and looks like it has always stayed in Ca. New paint looks real nice but to be a show truck would still need a little more body work and it has a small bubble about the size of a silver dollar down low on the right front fender. Other than that the body is very nice, not perfect, but has zero rust aside from the bubble on the fender. Beautifully cleaned frame and undercarriage, super solid everywhere. Glass is nice, interior is nice, uncut dash with no holes. Seat was redone , original bedwood was restored with multiple times sanding and adding clear laquer , looks amazing!! Really strong rebuilt 235 with fresh rebuilt dual rochester carbs, stainless lines, Fenton intake, NOS early corvette header, new exhaust, new power steering setup, redone original brass radiator, pro rebuilt aluminum new process 4 speed manual overdrive trans with new Hurst shifter and linkage, pro rebuilt 57 pass. car rear with 3:36 gearing, rebuilt driveshaft, new yoke, all new brakes and lines. New 3" dropped axle, new 3" dropped leaf springs front and rear. New shocks designed for this truck with dropped suspension. Newer chrome Daisy's with new BF goodrich tires. All 5 lug. New battery in dropout box underneath. Engine compartment very nicely detailed as you can see . Floor looks really really nice as do cab mounts. Lights and gauges work as they should. Heater works. Runs super cool, I drive it all over, does 70 plus on the freeway with 1 finger on the wheel not even sweating it! Goes straight, stops well. Looks great the way it is, drives great. Clear title and currently registered on minty 56 Ca. yom plates. You are more than welcome to come see it in person and go ride for a ride. This is like getting that hotrod truck you always wanted but without that gas guzzling V8, this bad boy will get 15-20mpg! NOTE: "BUY IT NOW" purchase will include free shipping to anywhere in the continental USA or 50% of cost to anywhere in the world! Thank you, Rob 310)995-eighteight96 |

Autotrader picks best cars for 2015's college grads
Sun, May 31 2015Summer is here and the school season is winding to a close. That means millions of students will be graduating college and (hopefully) entering the workforce. For many, that will mean buying a new car suited to the new stage in life into which they will now be embarking. That can be a bewildering choice, especially for someone who's never bought a car before. Fortunately, Autotrader has come up with a short list of recommended cars – new and used – which it recommends to the graduating class of 2015. Among the site's top choices are some compelling crossovers and hatchbacks, including the Buick Encore, Chevy Trax, and Jeep Renegade, as well as the Honda Fit, Nissan Versa Note, Mazda3 and Fiat 500. Can't stretch to buying new, or don't see the point? Autotrader has also identified the Toyota Camry, Ford Fusion and even the Lexus IS as smart buys in the certified pre-owned category. "Any time someone goes through a major life change, such as graduating college, they need to determine if their current ride makes sense for their lifestyle, from both a financial and functional perspective," says Autotrader editor Brian Moody. "For example, while that hand-me-down SUV from your parents was nice when you turned 16, you may want to opt for a safer, more fuel-efficient car as you transition into the working world." Autotrader Names 10 Best Cars for Recent College Graduates ATLANTA, May 28, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- For many, graduating college is a milestone like no other – it represents a new chapter, a proud accomplishment and, fortunately or unfortunately, financial independence. Luckily for graduates who are in the market for a new car to suit their post-college lifestyle, Autotrader's expert editors say now is a great time to make a purchase, as dealerships are flush with affordable models that are fun, fuel-efficient and thoughtfully designed. Corvette Z06 and Viper TA square off at the strip
Wed, Jan 21 2015There are many long-standing grudge matches among automobiles: 911 vs GT-R, Mustang vs Camaro, Ferrari vs Lamborghini... but as far as high-end American metal goes, it doesn't get much more legendary than Viper vs 'Vette. So after Chevy released the new Corvette Z06, we knew it was only a matter of time before it would have to square off against the Viper TA. And what better place to pit these two parallel pillars of American performance than on the drag strip? Fortunately that's just what we have here. In one corner, the 2014 Dodge Viper TA, with its 8.4-liter V10 pumping out 640 horsepower and 600 pound-feet of torque. In the other, the 2015 Chevrolet Corvette Z06, the supercharger on its 6.2-liter V8 more than making up for the discrepancy in displacement and cylinder count to produce 650 hp and just as much torque. But numbers don't tell the whole story, so watch the video clip to see which reaches the end of the quarter-mile first. GM won't sell 2014 Chevrolet SS in Canada
Thu, 21 Feb 2013Allow us to be the first to extend our condolences to our friends to the north. General Motors has announced the 2014 Chevrolet SS will not be available in Canada. The Globe and Mail reports the automaker has confirmed the high-performance sedan won't hit Canadian dealers, though GM hasn't offered up any reasoning as to why that is.
Buyers here in the US of A, meanwhile, can look forward to getting their hands on the 415-horspower, rear-wheel drive SS by late summer. Something tells us it won't be long after that before Canadian officials start seeing individually imported 6.2-liter V8 four-doors in their neighborhoods. Fortunately, Canadian buyers will still be able to take home the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette. The C7 bowed at the Canadian International Auto Show last week, reportedly drawing sizable crowds and interest.
