1955 Chevy 3200 Truck

This truck appears to be completely original.  It has the original drivetrain as far as I can tell.  It has push button starter on the floor, 12 volt generator and point type ignition.  The radiator looks to be original, because it has 55 embossed on it.  It has the original bed, but someone tack welded a piece of metal over it that could be easily removed.  The wheels are not original.  The 3200 means it is an 89 inch long bed.  The paint is not original. The truck has the usual rust spots that can be repaired.  (Cab corners, floor, front of bed, etc...)  The rest of the truck is very solid.  (Strong frame and solid cab.)  Odometer says 12825, but the title says exempt.  The truck runs and drives, but must be trailered because the tires are not in good road condition.  This truck would make a very good restoration project.

I have already done some work to the truck:

New Gas Tank and Sending Unit

Rebuilt Carburetor

New Ignition Parts (cap, rotor, condenser, points, spark plugs)

New Brake Shoes

New Brake Wheel Cylinders

New Rear Steel Brake Lines

New Brake Hoses

Rebuilt Master Cylinder

Repacked Wheel Bearings

New Door Seals (Not installed)

Winning bidder must pay a $500.00 NON-Refundable PayPal deposit within 24hrs of bid closing.

Remaining payment due within 7 days of auction ending by Cash or Personal Check (once cleared).

Pickup locally or if truck is to be shipped, you arrange shipping and I will make sure the truck is loaded.

Feel free to ask any questions!! Thank you for looking!!

Happy Bidding!!

Watch how Corvette Racing's new collision-avoidance radar system works

Fri, 22 Mar 2013

When it comes to technology used in racecars, we generally expect it to trickle down to production cars, not the other way around. Well, Pratt & Miller has developed a new rear-facing radar that operates in a similar fashion to what we're used to in modern blind spot detection systems, only it is also capable of tracking cars as they approach and relaying vital information to the driver via a large display screen.
The innovative radar system debuted at last weekend's 12 Hours of Sebring for Corvette Racing, and this system makes perfect sense for endurance races like this since the cars sometimes have to drive through the night and in poor weather conditions.
The radar can detect cars even with poor visibility, and uses easy-to-distinguish symbols for the driver to identify.

Chevy monitors drivers' biometrics while experiencing new Corvette Stingray

Fri, 25 Oct 2013

We tell you about what a car is like to drive every day, remarking on throttle response, steering weight and feedback, squat, dive, brake fade and a dozen or more other factors of performance. What we can't tell you, though, is what the car does to us - how its performance impacts us, physically. That's what makes this video series from Chevrolet so darn cool.
The Bow-Tie brand rented out Spring Mountain Motorsports Ranch, got several (very) different individuals together, strapped a bunch of sensors to their bodies to record biometric data ranging from heart rate to respiration to brain activity, and then handed them keys to the new Chevrolet Corvette Stingray. The results are explained in a series of videos, devoted to each driver, showing how different people react to the Corvette's performance.
If, like your author, you're a nerd for medical science, this is going to be a fascinating set of videos. If not, it's still pretty cool to see how the body of someone with racing experience, like Gran Turismo creator Kazunori Yamauchi, reacts to tracking a car like the Corvette Stingray compared to the owner of legendary Detroit barbecue joint, Slows BBQ. Take a look below for all six videos from the series, or hop over to the Corvette Vimeo channel for the interactive experience, where you can see all the different metrics.
