THIS IS A 1955 CHEVY TRUCK, 3100 2ND SERIES ON A 1987 BLAZER K-5 W/ 4X4 FRAME AND DRIVE TRAIN. I WOULD DESCRIBE THIS TRUCK AS BEING IN GOOD SHAPE WITH A COMPLETE TUNE UP AND OIL CHANGE JUST DONE. IT HAS A TBI 350 ENGINE AND A 350 TRANSMISSION WITH A COLUMN SHIFT AND A TILT WHEEL. THE 4X4 SHIFTER IS ON THE FLOOR--IT HAS POWER STEERING AND POWER FRONT DISC BRAKE SETUP WHICH WORKS GREAT. THE SIDE WINDOWS AND THE VENT WINDOWS HAVE JUST BEEN REPLACED, THE HEADLIGHTS AND TAIL-LIGHTS ARE UPGRADED TO HALOGEN. ALSO HAS A SET OF HI POWER WORKING FOG LIGHTS ON FRONT. IT RIDES ON A SET OF 22" WHEELS BUT I HAVE A SET OF 15" X 31 IF YOU PREFER, TIRES ONLY HAVE ABOUT 1/3 TREAD AT MOST ON EITHER SET. .ENGINE AND TRANS ARE GREAT--NO STRANGE NOISES OR BIG LEAKS, HAS A BATTERY CUT OFF FOR STORAGE. I HAVE JUST COMPLETED A CAMO PAINT JOB AND HAD NEW CARPET INSTALLED. IT ALWAYS STARTS RIGHT UP AND RUNS GREAT. THE INTERIOR IS IN GREAT SHAPE BUT KEEP IN MIND THIS IS NOT A SHOW TRUCK. IT HAS A WORKING EXTRA SET OF UNDER DASH GAUGES AND IS EQUIPTED WITH A TRAILER HITCH. ---0--HEATING OR LEAKING ISSUES, BED COULD USE SOME HELP LIKE A NEW WOOD FLOOR OR BETTER YET A SHEET OF DIAMOND PLATE ALUMINUM. ----THIS TRUCK GETS THE LOOKS--IT IS REALLY COOL AND ALSO DEPENDABLE. VENT WINDOWS HELP BECAUSE THERE IS NO A/C. FLORIDA TITLE I WILL ANSWER ALL YOUR QUESTIONS EXCEPT RESERVE.--IT IS LESS THAN I HAVE IN IT !! P.S. --IF YOU DO THE BUY IT NOW YOU WILL GET BOTH SETS OF WHEELS AND TIRES . CLEAR FLORIDA TITLE-- DAVE 239 947 6074

Chevy Colorado, GMC Canyon get updated tachometers due to graphical error
Sun, Feb 8 2015After James Bearing bought a Chevrolet Colorado, he noticed a discrepancy between the truck's spec sheet and the truck's tachometer: Chevrolet said 3.6-liter V6 in the little pickup produces 305 horsepower at 6,800 rpm, but the the tachometer indicates a redline at 6,500 rpm. So either he wasn't making as much power as he was promised, or the tachometer display was incorrect. Bearing said he asked Chevy about it but got no response. Until now. A General Motors spokesman said the rev limiter is indeed set for 6,800 rpm, but the tach graphics "are slightly off" in the Colorado and the GMC Canyon, and submitted an SAE horsepower certification to back him up. If you're wondering how such a thing got past quality control... well, let's just say you're not alone. GM is going to fix "the graphics on future trucks," which makes it sound like Bearing will just have to learn to live with the indicated redline he's got. He could always pretend he's driving a sleeper, with four more ponies waiting to be unlocked in the danger zone for those who dare. GM recalling 15k midsize pickups over leaky brakes
Mon, Jun 8 2015General Motors has announced a recall in coordination with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration related to the brakes on the 2015 Chevy Colorado and GMC Canyon. In the 14,838 units in the United States estimated to be affected, the front brake calipers may be leaking fluid. Needless to say, that could make them less effective, which could hinder the vehicle's ability to stop in time to avoid a collision. The affected units were all manufactured between January 6 and December 24, 2014. The fix seems simple and straightforward enough, with dealers being instructed to inspect the front brake calipers, and replace them if necessary. See below for all the details from NHTSA. RECALL Subject : Brake Fluid Leak Report Receipt Date: MAY 12, 2015 NHTSA Campaign Number: 15V278000 Component(s): SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC Potential Number of Units Affected: 14,838 Manufacturer: General Motors LLC SUMMARY: General Motors LLC (GM) is recalling certain model year 2015 Chevrolet Colorado, and GMC Canyon trucks manufactured January 6, 2014, to December 24, 2014. The affected vehicles may experience the front brake calipers leaking brake fluid. This is due to air pockets, an imperfection in the metal caliper body. CONSEQUENCE: If the vehicle experiences a brake fluid leak it can increase the stopping distance, increasing the risk of a vehicle crash. REMEDY: GM will notify owners, and dealers will inspect and replace the front-brake calipers if necessary, free of charge. The recall is expected to begin July 10, 2015. Owners may contact GM customer service at 1-800-222-1020 (Chevrolet), or 1-800-462-8782 (GMC). GM's number for this recall is 14888. NOTES: Owners may also contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153), or go to www.safercar.gov.
