Same old story, Great project!, no time to touch it.
I've wanted this particular truck for 8-10 years but the owner wouldn't sell.  Almost 3 years ago he finally sold it to me.  Of course by that time in my life I had a frame up restoration going on, two teenagers that keep me busy with their cars and sports as well as a set of 1 year old twins.  Zero time for myself.  So it sat in my father in law's shed.  3 years later and I haven't touched it.  Bought many parts but never had time to even think about getting the truck out.  Time to let someone else get this truck going.

All original with all the Custom Cab options still there, chrome grill, and chrome accents. 100% original as far as I know.  Still has the open air relays and fiber coated wires under the hood (All electrical will need replaced though). Has not been cut into yet or disassembled so it could be a restoration or full custom. The patina would make for a nice rat rod too. Will need at least 1 cab corner as it has small pin holes in it, a partial cab floor, and the bed crossmembers are rotted.  It was a farm truck so it has dents, scratches and rust. Tail gate has disappeared since I put it in storage. Sat outside for many years before I bought it so there might be rust I'm not aware of.  Will need a full nut and bolt restoration or at least a teardown and rebuild for a rat rod.

Original 216 is in it and locked up Original Trans is locked, driveshaft removed, truck Rolls good, steering is not locked
Frame is solid. I was planning on cutting 9.75" out of the frame and making a short box but that's up to you, Still factory 3/4 ton length
Has a Nebraska Bonded Title, fully transferable, bond expires in November, after that it's a normal title.

Also included are all my build parts:
New:
Mustang II Air bag Front end kit w/ 11" brakes.
Includes crossmember, boxing plates, spring towers, tubular control arms with ball joints and spacers, t bolts, 2"drop spindles and Speedway 11" brake kit #91031943
Front end kit is missing the Airbags, shocks, tie rods and Rack and Pinion.
Universal Weld-in Rear 4 link kit.
Speedway 20 Circuit wiring harness
Cable throttle pedal.
Universal Small Block Chevy Engine mount kit
Universal Transmissions crossmember

Used:
I bought a "running when pulled" 235 full oiler with 4sp trans included but Condition is unknown.
A 3100 (1/2 ton) Spindles and beam axle (thought I was going Beam axle and disc brakes at one time but changed my mind)
Visor (Not a Fulton but nice)
S-10 Brake pedal & bracket incl booster and master cyl.
S-10 Steering Column incl intermediate shaft, key, steering wheel
S-10 Rear end, open 3.42 gears
Box of additional gauges but they were modified, I was planning on using the guts just incase any of the gauges in the truck didn't work.
18 gallon Poly fuel cell.
And anything else I can find for this truck.

If you need pics of anything else please let me know and I will add them to the listing

Chevy Chaparral 2X Vision Gran Turismo concept blends the past and the future

Wed, 19 Nov 2014

The Chevrolet Chaparral 2X Vision Gran Turismo is the rare concept car that salutes a seminal moment in history, yet also borders on science fiction.
Revealed Wednesday at the Los Angeles Auto Show, the concept uses the name of one of Chevy's historic racing partnerships, with Chaparral Racing, which dates to the 1960s. Chaparrals raced successfully at a range of levels, including IndyCar, Trans-Am and SCCA competition.
But the history ends there, as the concept's main purpose is as a racecar in a downloadable update for the PlayStation 3 game Gran Turismo 6.

Impala SS vs. Marauder: Recalling Detroit’s muscle sedans

Thu, Apr 30 2020

Impala SS vs. Marauder — it was comparo that only really happened in theory. ChevyÂ’s muscle sedan ran from 1994-96, while MercuryÂ’s answer arrived in 2003 and only lasted until 2004. TheyÂ’re linked inextricably, as there were few options for powerful American sedans during that milquetoast period for enthusiasts. The debate was reignited recently among Autoblog editors when a pristine 1996 Chevy Impala SS with just 2,173 miles on the odometer hit the market on Bring a Trailer. Most of the staff favored the Impala for its sinister looks and said that it lived up to its billing as a legit muscle car. Nearly two-thirds of you agree. We ran an unscientific Twitter poll that generated 851 votes, 63.9 percent of which backed the Impala. Muscle sedans, take your pick: — Greg Migliore (@GregMigliore) April 14, 2020 Then and now enthusiasts felt the Impala was a more complete execution with guts. The Marauder, despite coming along later, felt more hacked together, according to prevailing sentiments. Why? On purpose and on paper theyÂ’re similar. The ImpalaÂ’s 5.7-liter LT1 V8 making 260 horsepower and 330 pound-feet of torque was impressive for a two-ton sedan in the mid-Â’90s. The Marauder was actually more powerful — its 4.6-liter V8 was rated at 302 hp and 318 lb-ft. The ImpalaÂ’s engine was also used in the C4 Corvette. The MarauderÂ’s mill was shared with the Mustang Mach 1. You can see why they resonated so deeply with Boomers longing for a bygone era and also captured the attention of coming-of-age Gen Xers. Car and DriverÂ’s staff gave the Marauder a lukewarm review back in ‘03, citing its solid handling and features, yet knocking the sedan for being slow off the line. In a Hemmings article appropriately called “Autopsy” from 2004, the ImpalaÂ’s stronger low-end torque and smooth shifting transmission earned praise, separating it from the more sluggish Mercury. All of this was captured in the carsÂ’ acceleration times, highlighting metrically the differences in their character. The Impala hit 60 miles per hour in 6.5 seconds, while the Marauder was a half-second slower, according to C/D testing. Other sites have them closer together, which reinforces the premise it really was the little things that separated these muscle cars. Both made the most of their genetics, riding on ancient platforms (FordÂ’s Panther and General MotorsÂ’ B-body) that preceded these cars by decades. Both had iconic names.

Indian tuner turns Chevy Optra into Mustang 'Eleanor' replica

Fri, 03 Aug 2012

If you are a big fan of automotive oddities, this may come as a little treat. If you are a Shelby or Mustang diehard, prepare to have your sensibilities violated.
The master fabricators at BigDaddyCustoms are the minds behind what you see above. At first, it appears to be a slightly misshapen custom Mustang, modeled after "Eleanor" from Gone In 60 Seconds, but upon further examination, something appears to be amiss. In fact, the custom shop, based in India, has created an Eleanor replica grafted upon a lowly Chevrolet Optra. While it may take a second for the Optra to ring a bell, you should recognize its badge-engineered sibling, the Daewoo Lacetti, used on Top Gear.
We don't know what star would opt for the Reasonably Priced Car in Shelby's clothing, but it's clearly someone more concerned with the aesthetic than the performance credentials of this automotive mash-up.
