Here's a very nice example of a 1947 chevy thriftmaster pickup. 1st year of new Body style. This truck was aquired through the estate of a Ohio Gentleman, it sat in his Barn for approx. 4 years. It came with a photo album of the restoration process. It has been restored and there has been body work done, which is not perfect but very presentible. Mechanicals look to have been completely gone through, Gas tank, exhaust, brakes, clutch int. etc.. It has a 4 speed trans. Comes with original radio. I believe it has its original 6 volt system, but some has changed the coil and points over to 12 volts. Its starts right up and drives runs and stops, no engine smoke is present. Has new wood in truck bed. I believe I would change the voltage back over to 6 volt or complete the 12 volt switch. I hav'nt drove the truck alot But having driven it a few miles I would think the drum brakes should be adjusted to make it stop better. It is a nice truck, that has been restored by previous owner but is a nice example of a truck of this error. Also the door will need adjusted so they close all the way they seem to not want to latch but The do shut with the door being locked, and the drivers side window needs the regulator adjusted or replaced, it rolls up then drifts back down about 6 inches. there is a replacement regulator with the truck. Truck comes with clear Ohio title. Has a new or rebuilt set of gauges. I don't know the history of the truck coming from an estate and being as old as it is It is being sold as is, please ask questions with this in mind. I may consider buy now offers or trade or partial trade , but would rather sell for cash. Buyer pays 1000 deposit through paypal in 24 hrs. Final payment in certified funds in 5 days. Truck located in Kingsville Ohio 44048, Right off I-90 transport assesible. Pick up in 30 days.

General Motors shaking up its marketing... again
Wed, 13 Mar 2013One of the things that dogs the full comeback of General Motors is the instability of its marketing. That part of the automaker got yet another big shakeup today when GM confirmed what I have been tweeting for a few days - strong rumors that the Chevrolet and Cadillac ad accounts are walking to new ad agencies.
Cadillac, GM's luxury brand, is going into review from Fallon Worldwide, Minneapolis and the indications are that Campbell-Ewald, Chevy's old ad shop, will end up with most or all of it. C-E just announced that it was moving from its long-time home in Warren, MI to a new downtown Detroit office next to Ford Field, just blocks from GM.
The other shoe to drop shortly will be the shift of GM's most important brand, Chevy, from Goodby, Silverstein & Partners of San Francisco to McCann-Erickson of Troy, MI. McCann used to be the agency for Buick and GMC, as well as GM's corporate advertising, and has retained some pieces of business over the last few years. Sources have even told us that it was McCann that did a lot of the creative work on Chevy's new ad platform, Find New Roads. (Not to be confused with a former McCann tagline for Saab, "Find Your Own Road.")
2016 Chevy Volt to make auto show debut this season
Wed, Jul 30 2014Ever since we saw that spy shots of the 2016 Chevy Volt, we've been hungering for more information on the next-gen version of GM's green halo car. It appears we might not have long to wait, at least for an official tease. An inside source that wishes to remain anonymous told AutoblogGreen that GM will make two announcements regarding the second-gen Volt at the CAR Management Briefing Seminars in Traverse City, MI next week. The first, and most intriguing, is that that we will get our first glimpse of the new Volt at some point during the upcoming auto show season. That means either Los Angeles later this year or else Detroit, Chicago or New York in early 2015. The second bit of news is that GM will be moving production of the electric motors from Mexico to Michigan. Details and official confirmation are, of course, missing and Chevrolet declined comment to AutoblogGreen. We should know more next week.
Are you the 2014 Corvette Grand Sport?
Thu, 21 Feb 2013When are stripes more than just stripes? Follow up question: Is the product development team at Chevrolet really cocky enough to hide the next C7 Corvette variant in plain sight? This very recently spotted, and ostensibly obscured C7 asks a lot more questions than it answers, but there's at least some evidence to support that it might be the next Corvette Grand Sport.
The first and most obvious tip-off that something is up with this 'Vette revolves around those silver stripes. Obviously the stripes themselves don't necessarily denote a new model. However, when Chevy recently launched its "colorizer" website for the Stingray, there was no provision made for racing stripes - solid colors only.
Grand Sport exhibit number two is actually an incriminating lack of badges. The production Corvettes we've seen to date have all carried Stingray badges on their fenders, just behind the vent. The car seen in these images has no such badges, which is an intriguing omission on an car that looks like a production-spec vehicle otherwise.
