Hi Folks, Selling my 1937 Chevrolet pick up truck in order to free up some space and time to work on some of my other cars.
Truck had a recent frame off restoring done and only driven a few hundred miles. A mid 1980's S-10 chassis was used in order to get a modern ride. A good 350 engine with about 60k miles was cleaned up, new mild cam installed with new timing chain and gears. Edelbrock intake and carb, HEI ignition, stock exhaust manifolds with dual exhaust, rebuilt Turbo 350 transmission, positraction rear end, rear air shocks, power disc brakes, power steering, aluminum radiator, external trans cooler, Dolphin gauges, GM tilt steering column, bucket seats, (drivers side is power), Lokar shifter, 17" American Racing Torq Thrust wheels, all new glass,front windshield is sealed to body. All steel body with glass fenders, custom steel bed and running boards, and a trailer hitch to pull your toys! Awesome driver. Call or text with any questions. See my other listings. GM tinkering with Silverado, Sierra model mix amidst strong early sales
Mon, 04 Nov 2013Variety, as they say, is the spice of life. That's a lesson that is currently being taught to General Motors, because despite a strong showing from its 2014 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra, the General's pickup sales still can't best those of cross-town rival Ford.
With 59,163 trucks moved, GM fell just over 1,000 units short of toppling Ford, and one of the main reasons for that, according to GM's chief sales analyst, was due to a lack of variety in the engines and body styles available on dealer lots. "We are still over-weighted toward crew-cab V8 trucks. Our light-duty mix will moderate over time as our launch progresses," said Kurt McNeil.
Loading dealers with the popular combination of the 5.3-liter V8 and the four-door, Crew Cab body style was intentional during the truck's launch, but as supplies of leftover 2013 models, which are being sold at heavy incentives, are beginning to wane, both budget-conscious and high-dollar buyers are looking elsewhere instead of at the volume model pickups.
Bob Lutz says Tesla remains 'fringe' brand
Sun, Sep 28 2014We've said it before, we'll said it again: Bob Lutz gives great quotes. From his toilet-themed opinion of global warming to Toyota's deity status, the man knows how to get your attention. His latest? Saying that Tesla Motors is and will remain a fringe brand. Take that, Tesla fanbois. This, of course, is the same fringe company that prompted Lutz and his former colleagues at General Motors to start working on the Chevy Volt around eight years ago. The same fringe company that has easily outsold the similarly priced (but don't call it a competitor) Cadillac ELR with its Model S. Lutz did clarify that the fringe status will only last until Tesla comes out with a mass-market electric vehicle that has a range of 200 to 300 miles. Lutz was on CNBC talking about the TSLA stock's recent performance, and he pointed out that even Tesla CEO Elon Musk says that the California automaker's stock is overvalued these days. Despite its prevalence around these parts, Tesla is not yet a household brand. But the company is working hard to get a cheaper, long-range EV to market in the not-too-distant future, so this fringe thing may not last much longer than that show Fringe did.
